Afghan Teacher Killed After Speech Condemning Homicide Bombings

May 14th, 2008 . by TexasFred

KABUL, Afghanistan — A teacher was shot to death in northern Afghanistan after he gave a speech condemning homicide bombings, officials said Wednesday.

Abdul Hadi criticized such attacks as un-Islamic and un-Afghan during a speech Tuesday in the Archi district of Kunduz province, said Khair Mohammad Subat, the provincial education department director.

Hadi spoke at a gathering of about 700 people, including the Kunduz governor, and was on his way home when he was killed, Subat said.

Kunduz police chief Gen. Mohammad Ayub Salangi said police were investigating. No arrests have been made.

In January, Education Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar said the number of students and teachers killed in Taliban attacks spiked in the past year in a campaign to close schools and force teenage boys to join the Islamic militia.

Speaking of The Religion of Peace

Yet another example of Islamic terrorism and a graphic illustration of my point in the previous post, Islam is NOT a Religion of Peace, Islam is a religion of terror and hatred, a religion of submission or death and this is what radical Islam does to those that have the balls to speak out against it…

This post wasn’t started to be a political screed against Barack Hussein Obama but about to become one and it’s going to be used to make this point, it is MY opinion that if Obama is allowed to ascend to the Oval Office, we had best be prepared to see a rise in radical Islam right and acts of terror, here in America…

It is MY opinion that if Obama were to become president, the Islamic radicals would consider him to be their chosen leader and take that election as a sign from Allah that it was now time to launch the final jihad against the Great Satan, that would be us, the American public, or as most Muslims refer to us, The Infidel…

We have been very lucky since 9-11, we haven’t suffered at the hands of the Islamic terrorist here on American soil, but many other parts of the world have, and I believe that not long after the election in November we are going to see these senseless acts of terror right here in our home…

I firmly believe that it’s coming and I believe Obama will be the catalyst…

Blast toll in Indian city rises to 80

May 14th, 2008 . by TexasFred

JAIPUR, India - A series of bomb blasts across the ancient Indian city of Jaipur killed at least 80 people and turned busy markets, a jewelry bazaar and a Hindu temple into scenes of carnage, police said Wednesday.

A.K. Jain, additional director-general of state police, said 20 people succumbed to their injuries overnight, raising the death toll from Tuesday’s blasts to 80.

Nearly 200 other people were wounded in seven explosions within the old walls of the western city known for its pink-hued palaces, Jain said. Police said an eighth bomb was found and defused.

Suspicion quickly fell on Islamic militant groups blamed for a string of attacks in India in recent years.

“Obviously, it’s a terrorist” attack, said A.S. Gill, the police chief of Rajasthan, the state where Jaipur is located. “The way it has been done, the attempt was to cause the maximum damage to human life.”

Blast toll in Indian city rises to 80

Has anyone noticed?? The Religion of Peace is always the 1st one suspected when something like this happens??

That’s because the Religion of Peace is none of that, it’s not a religion, at least not one that could be called anything other than a cult, and to call Islam peaceful?? Well, that’s wrong from every angle, there is nothing peaceful about it, they use murder and violence to bring about submission to their way of life, to call themselves peaceful is nothing more than hypocrisy…

I offer sincere sympathies to the people of India in this time of turmoil, America knows, all too well what an attack by The Religion of Peace can do and the pain and suffering it can cause, even if many Americans seem to have forgotten the attacks of 9-11, many of us haven’t…

Within hours of the blasts, authorities were suggesting that blame would eventually fall on Pakistan and the Islamic militant groups that India accuses its neighboring country and longtime rival of backing.

“One can’t rule out the involvement of a foreign power,” said India’s junior home minister, Sriprakash Jaiswal, using language commonly understood to refer to Pakistan.

Jaiswal refused to say if he was talking about Pakistan. But he suggested the bombings were connected to previous attacks on India, saying that “the blasts are part of a big conspiracy.”

The Indians aren’t known for speaking in openly hostile terms, they’re a lot nicer in their way of wording things than Americans are, but the meaning is there, you just have to understand the nuance of Indian speech…

As surely as these bombing have happened in India, they can happen here in the USA, these acts of barbaric homicide bombings can happen anywhere that the Islamic hordes wish to flex their muscle by killing innocent victims, my only surprise is that it hasn’t happened here yet…

I am certain that there will be bleeding hearts that disagree and cry that Islam is only a very misunderstood concept and make their case for turning the other cheek, but my gut feeling is this, we may not have been attacked again simply because there is a fear within the Islamic terrorists, they know that if the USA is struck like that again that there will be armed Americans set on a path of revenge, and that retribution will be swift and deadly, and not too terribly particular in who it takes that retribution upon…

And turning the other cheek usually results in having 2 sore cheeks…

Kurdish Rebels Threaten Attacks Against U.S. Interests

May 6th, 2008 . by TexasFred

QANDIL MOUNTAINS, Iraq - Kurdish rebels could launch suicide attacks against American interests to punish the U.S. for sharing intelligence with Turkey after Turkey bombed rebel bases, a spokeswoman for a wing of a rebel group warned.

Turkey’s military said more than 150 Kurdish rebels were killed in Friday’s air strikes against bases of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, on Mount Qandil on the border of Iran and Iraq. Peritan Derseem, a senior official of the rebel group’s Iranian wing, PEJAK, claimed that only six people were killed in latest Turkish strikes.

The PKK fights for autonomy in Turkey’s southeast and also has a wing fighting for Kurdish rights in Iran.

Derseem blamed the United States for helping Turkey in an interview late Sunday.

She said some rebels want to join suicide squads to avenge the deaths of their comrades but that “combatants are under the control of the organization,” which she said is against such attacks. That may change, Derseem hinted.

“We have changed our stand toward the United States government and we are standing against them now,” she said. “Maybe some day … individual combatants might launch suicide attacks inside Iraq and Turkey, and even against American interests.”

Kurdish Rebels Threaten Attacks Against U.S. Interests

So now the Kurds are pissed off at the USA and are threatening to attack U.S. targets??

Aren’t these the people that so many here in the USA had their bloomers in a wad over?? The ones that Saddam gassed?? Aren’t they one of the major justifications for going to war in Iraq, that Iraqi Freedom thing??

So, now they are going on the declared enemies list, well, isn’t that an interesting turn of events, maybe we need to give the Turks even more information, Turkey has wanted to go after the Kurds in northern Iraq for a long time and have held off at the behest of the USA, maybe it’s time to turn them loose and let them run a while…

Turkey has been an ally for a long time, we have a history with Turkey, Ambivalent Allies and it would be in our favor to court that alliance, seriously, what do the Kurds have to offer us in the way of value?? Not too much that I can see, and now that they have declared their hostile intentions, put them on that ‘if you’re not with us, you’re against us’ list…

You know, maybe there was a legitimate reason Saddam went after the Kurds, it seems they have a history of pissing off forces that can take them out of the equation, and we can do just that, all our forces need is an order to get the job done, and in my estimation, once a nation or people declare a hostile intent, it’s game on!!

Jordan Says Anti-Islam Film Threatens Ties With Dutch

March 30th, 2008 . by TexasFred

AMMAN, Jordan — Jordanian lawmakers are demanding their government cuts ties with the Netherlands in protest of a Dutch film that portrays Islam as a ticking time bomb aimed at the West.

Forty-eight lawmakers in the 110-seat parliament say the film entitled “Fitna,” or “ordeal” in Arabic, insults Islam’s Prophet Muhammad and hurts Muslim feelings. The film was made by Dutch anti-immigrant politician Geert Wilders.

The deputies outlined their views in a letter delivered to their government during a meeting Sunday. It called for the government to cut diplomatic relations with the Netherlands and dismiss the Dutch envoy.

There was no immediate response from the Jordanian government.

SOURCE HERE:
Jordan Says Anti-Islam Film Threatens Ties With Dutch

Islam IS a ticking time bomb and even though most Muslims aren’t radicals, they certainly aren’t making any effort to speak out against their radical brethren, and in MY opinion, if you don’t have the balls to speak out against evil, then you’re as much a part OF that evil as are the evildoers themselves.

Europe is overrun with Muslims and is a continent on the verge of Muslim domination, or perhaps another war to keep that full domination to coming to fruition, and according to this report Muslims now outnumber Catholics, and I find that comparison by the Vatican to be interesting considering the recent brouhaha between Muslims and the Vatican over statements made by the Pope, is the Catholic church concerned that they may be in for a battle over the control of the many 3rd world nations they have dominated for centuries?

Islam IS our enemy, the enemy of ALL free people, the enemy of anyone that isn’t Muslim, the world over. I wonder how the EU would handle an all out attack by radical Islam? I wonder if they have the will to fight or would they submit to Islam and cry because the USA didn’t run in and save them?

And I also wonder, would we run in and save them? And if we did, how would we do it, considering the supposedly stretched military we have, is saving Europe again even a doable task?

If there are Muslims that disagree with my views, prove me wrong, take a stand against radical Islamics, do YOUR part to make them go away and leave the rest of the world in peace, renounce the dominance that IS Islam, and the mindset that says ‘Convert or die’, until then, ALL Muslims are the enemy and as far as I’m concerned we’re in a state of WAR with Islam, and Islam started it on 9-11-2001.

Now all we have to do is convince The Bush that it’s not Iraq, well, it’s not just Iraq, it’s Afghanistan, Syria, Saudi Arabia and a lot more, and the Islamic threat IS real.

Al-Sadr Pulls Fighters Off Iraq Streets

March 30th, 2008 . by TexasFred

BAGHDAD (AP) - Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr said Sunday that he was pulling his fighters off the streets nationwide and called on the government to stop raids against his followers and free them from prison.

The Iraqi government quickly welcomed al-Sadr’s apparent move to resolve a widening conflict with his movement, sparked Tuesday by operations against his backers in the oil-rich southern city of Basra.

Al-Sadr’s nine-point statement was issued by his headquarters in the holy city of Najaf and broadcast through loudspeakers on Shiite mosques. It said the first point was: “taking gunmen off the streets in Basra and elsewhere.”

He also demanded that the Iraqi government stop “haphazard raids” and release security detainees who haven’t been charged, two issues cited by his movement as reasons for fighting the government.

Full Story Here:
Al-Sadr Pulls Fighters Off Iraq Streets

al-Sadr blinked. And you can bet it wasn’t from fear of the Iraqi army or police, it was because of the raids being conducted by U.S. aircraft, ground support being provided by the U.S. military and artillery barrages being provided by British forces, had it not been for those 3 factors, Iraqi forces, such as they are, would be locked in a bloody struggle right now, or, should I say, more of a struggle than they already are?

This is the question I asked in a post on Tuesday, “Will al-Sadr and his cohorts blink 1st? Will al-Maliki have to return the balls he appears to have found once this is over? Is there going to be a massive push into Sadr City and Basra to oust these radical vermin?”, al-Maliki and al-Sadr both rattle their sabres and now I wonder, is al-Sadr truly a man of his word, will he be capable of controlling the actions of his Mahdi army thugs?

We shall see I suppose, time will tell, but I am reasonably sure this will not be the last we hear from al-Sadr and his Mahdi army, they will continue to be a thorn in the side of the Iraqi government as they try to establish a working democracy in Iraq.

I also wonder, has al-Maliki got the balls to actually pull this off? Does he have the power to stop his police from surrendering to the Mahdi army and turning their weapons over to them? “We can’t fight our brothers in the Mahdi Army, so we came here to submit our weapons,” one policeman said on condition of anonymity for security reasons.”, Shiite Leader Al-Sadr Defies Iraq Gov’t

I am, quite frankly, a bit surprised that al-Maliki is still alive, given the preferred methods of removal from office incorporated by the Iraqi insurgents, maybe the man has more to him than has been seen so far, maybe it’s because American forces and some really sharp private security forces have protected him that well.

Or maybe the puppeteer is pulling the right strings.

All I know for certain is this, I am very tired of hearing that even more American troops have died for this cause, I am tired of hearing how many BILLIONS of our tax dollars are being poured into a nation that will, in all likelihood, never return a penny of that cost to us, I am tired of hearing how we are fighting to help establish a true democracy in an Islamic nation, a nation consumed by a religion that will never allow democracy to live, they can’t allow it to live and remain an Islamic nation, Islam and democracy are in direct opposition to each other.

And another thing I am tired of is this, I am tired of being told that this Debacle in Iraq is making us safer here in the USA.

If our shores, ports and borders were actually secure, if our immigration laws, as well as the issuance of travel and student visas were well regulated and policed, there would be no way that any of the insurgents in Iraq could possibly make their way into this nation and do us harm.

As retired U.S. Navy Commander Jeff Huber of Pen and Sword said a while back, and I loosely quote, “How are they going to threaten us if our borders are secure? Attack us with their air force? Sail their navy over here with an invasion force? An air force and navy they don’t have?”

Cmdr. Huber has also points out some of the same facts that I have, on numerous occasions, we don’t have to worry about an invasion by radical Islamic terrorists and/or insurgents that would come here from Iraq or other places, they’re already here, they are living right here in the USA, right now, and it’s only a matter of time until they strike the American people.

I am only guessing with this statement, but I am of the opinion, so far, the reason we haven’t seen terrorist attacks in the USA is because of the ARMED citizenry of America, the radical insurgent factions of Islam, those that would conduct terrorist attacks on our shores, are FULLY aware that if they were do so, something like HALF of the population of this nation would rise in anger and strike out against ALL Muslims in America, with NO concern as to whether they were striking radical terrorists or innocent bystanders, it would simply be the fact that they were Muslims, and that my friends is a cold hard truth.

Pentagon: U.S. Navy ships harassed by Iran

January 7th, 2008 . by TexasFred

WASHINGTON (AP) — In what U.S. officials called a serious provocation, Iranian boats harassed and provoked three U.S. Navy ships in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, threatening to explode the American vessels.

U.S. forces were on the verge of firing on the Iranian boats in the early Sunday incident, when the boats — believed to be from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s navy — turned and moved away, a Pentagon official said. “It is the most serious provocation of this sort that we’ve seen yet,” said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the record. Defense Department spokesman Bryan Whitman called it a “serious incident. This is something that deserves an explanation.”

National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said the United States urges the Iranians “to refrain from such provocative actions that could lead to a dangerous incident in the future.”

The incident occurred at about 5 a.m. local time Sunday as Navy cruiser USS Port Royal, destroyer USS Hopper and frigate USS Ingraham were on their way into the Persian Gulf and passing through the strait — a major oil shipping route.

Five small boats began charging the U.S. ships, dropping boxes in the water in front of the ships and forcing the U.S. ships to take evasive maneuvers, the Pentagon official said.

Pentagon: U.S. Navy ships harassed by Iran

I am of the understanding that a Captain in charge of his ship, a ship at sea, is the ultimate decision maker concerning the danger level his ship faces and in what appropriate action and/or force is to be used to eliminate that threat…

Our ships were in International waters, I want to know WHY these ships didn’t blow the Iranian craft out of the water??

The provocation was there, the intent was there, the ability to respond was there, we don’t need another incident like USS Cole or a replay of the Brits as they were taken hostage sometime back, the high seas are open to all and any that attack you ON the high seas should be fully aware of the immediate consequences that they will suffer in this type of stunt…

Iran may not have a nuclear weapons program, they may well BS their way through that accusation, but this is NOT an action that is in a muddled up grey area, I’d be willing to bet that there IS some digital or film footage of the Iranian craft and their actions…

How much harassment do we take on the high seas?? When do we strike our attackers?? Those that really DO attack us, as opposed to those that threatened ‘Daddy’??

Sept. 11, 2001 was an act of war, and for a while we responded accordingly, what are we going to do now?? Is this type of action not a clear and present danger to our ships and their crews??

Bush Administration Credibility Suffers

December 7th, 2007 . by TexasFred

WASHINGTON — The new National Intelligence Estimate — which says Iran had a nuclear weapons development program, but halted it in 2003 — made President Bush’s week play out like a sad country song.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was smiling and called the report a victory. Rush Limbaugh blasted the report as a product of administration sabotage. And Democrats were accusing the president of being a flip-flopper.

The NIE drew fire from nearly all sides, including anti-war Democrats in Congress, foreign leaders the administration needs to hold the line against Iran, and conservatives usually supportive of the administration.

The root issue for many critics comes down to credibility: Credibility of the estimate, credibility of the intelligence community that developed it and the credibility of the administration for whom those agencies work. Bridging that credibility gap might prove difficult for an administration heading into its final months.

Full Story Here:
Bush Admin. Credibility Suffers After Iran NIE Report

1. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was smiling and called the report a victory, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a lying little piece of garbage and his regime can’t be trusted any further than they can be picked up and thrown and anyone, read Dems, that would think they can be trusted is an idiot…

2. Rush Limbaugh blasted the report as a product of administration sabotage?? So?? All Limbaugh is, is a political commentator, the same as me and you and most other bloggers, he just has a bigger audience, that’s all, and, he IS the biggest Bush Bot of ALL the Bush Bots, maybe King of the Bush Bots would be a good title for Rush, and maybe he’s not really a Bush Bot at all, maybe he’s just one heck of a good salesman and he sold the Bots a bill of goods, it could happen…

3. The root issue for many critics comes down to credibility… Well, as far as I’m concerned, when the Bush administration pulled a substantial number of troops out of the hunt for Bin Laden and allowed Afghanistan to revert to many of it’s old ways and then declared Iraq to be the new mission, when Bush welcomed the Saudi prince to his home here in Texas and took the Saudi prince by the hand, kissed his cheek and welcomed him as a long lost brother, when Bush tried to force the AMNESTY bill down our throats, when he took the side of the ILLEGAL invaders over that of law abiding, tax paying American citizens, well, along about that time George W. Bush ceased to have ANY credibility in my opinion…

I don’t know the truth of what’s going on in Iran, maybe the Bush administration doesn’t either, all I know is this, I would have thought that by now, after 7 years in office, Bush would have had our intelligence agencies rebuilt to a somewhat credible level, I cut him some slack when 9-11 happened, he hadn’t been in office very long and hadn’t had the time to repair the damage that the Clinton’s had done to our military and intelligence services, but the time for excuses is long past, did our Intel people let the Iranians put one past us?? Did it make Bush look like a numb skull?? Well, it wouldn’t be the 1st time Bush looked like an idiot, and what the heck, he has another year in office, I’m sure there will be at least a few more screw ups before his term is over…

Somehow, I just don’t think history will be very kind to Mr. Bush, and I seriously doubt that we’ll ever hear the words Bush and credibility used synonymously…

Calls in Sudan for Execution of Briton

November 30th, 2007 . by TexasFred

KHARTOUM, Sudan (AP) - Thousands of Sudanese, many armed with clubs and knives, rallied Friday in a central square and demanded the execution of a British teacher convicted of insulting Islam for allowing her students to name a teddy bear “Muhammad.”

In response to the demonstration, teacher Gillian Gibbons was moved from the women’s prison near Khartoum to a secret location for her safety, her lawyer said.

The protesters streamed out of mosques after Friday sermons, as pickup trucks with loudspeakers blared messages against Gibbons, who was sentenced Thursday to 15 days in prison and deportation. She avoided the more serious punishment of 40 lashes.

They massed in central Martyrs Square outside the presidential palace, where hundreds of riot police were deployed. They did not try to stop the rally, which lasted about an hour.

Calls in Sudan for Execution of Briton

It’s their nation, they can run it any way they please but how much more evidence does the world need before the belief that radical Islam is nothing more than PURE EVIL?? When was the last time there were protests or riots because of an irresponsible naming of a stuffed animal by a school teacher?? Anyone know, or remember?? I know I don’t…

When was the last time their were protests that turned into riots in the USA?? In a recent time frame in history, say the last 30 or so years??

Modern
1980:
Miami
1991:
Crown Heights Riot
1992: Los Angeles
2001:
2001 Cincinnati Riots
2001:
Seattle Mardi Gras Riots

Look at what led to these riots, in all but one case it wasn’t religion or religious ideology, it was RACE, although religion may have well been a part of the one case in Crown Heights, New York, but I am not going to opine on the root causes of those race problems, that’s a topic for another post, but there was not an outrage in ANY of these protests and/or riots because of the naming of a stuffed animal, a child’s toy, a violation of some moonbat Islamic law I am sure but it wasn’t even an offhand insult to Allah, just their goat loving, child molesting founder of the sect, MoMo…

Thank God this isn’t a Muslim controlled nation, I would likely be beat to death for my feeling regarding the Islamic sect and it’s evil followers that subscribe to the belief that if you insult MoMo you must die, yes indeed, that is a religion of peace if ever there was one…

And folks, it’s things like this that make me a firm believer in MY opinion that there will never be PEACE in the middle east and other areas of the world that are dominated by Islam, Christianity, love of fellow man, freedom and democracy are foreign topics to these people and always will be, and we’re NOT going to convert the Muslims to Christianity, that’s been tried for centuries, all this is, in actuality, is oil and water, they don’t mix, never have, never will…

I don’t know about you, but in MY opinion, anyone that would call for the execution of a human being over then naming of a stuffed teddy bear is nothing more than a moonbat of the highest order and any EVIL sect that would consider such naming to be a crime, of ANY degree, is just as guilty, that isn’t a religion, it’s pure tyranny…
