MY GOD! I am sitting here with tears rolling from my eyes as I type this. I don’t post that to illicit sympathy, only to relay the emotion, the frustration and the intense anger I am feeling at this time.

To the Mothers and Fathers, the teachers, their families and friends and ALL of the folks involved, my deepest sympathies to you and yours on this tragic, and unbelievable loss of life in this horrendous act of violence.

I don’t know all the details, the NEWS sources don’t know ALL the details, at this time no one knows exactly what happened or why.

Every report I am hearing says that all information is *unconfirmed* at this time.

That’s the way it goes with a breaking story, the news is going to get it out there and then make corrections and retractions as the situation dictates, and that’s not something I take issue with, it’s the news business and it’s what they do.

I am not going to launch on a political tirade, this is NOT the time or the place. Now we need to ALL focus on the tremendous loss of life that these folks in Connecticut have suffered and support them in their loss.

You see, as expected, some news sources are already discussing an *assault weapons ban* and the idea that the shooter was carrying a high-capacity handgun, reportedly a Glock 9mm pistol. I am sure that any additional weapons carried by the shooter will come to light in the investigation, and I am sure that this is going to give the anti-gun groups in this nation another excuse to attack the Second Amendment, but this is NOT the time or place to take up those issues.

I have grandsons in the age group of these kids, I am devastated by what has happened and I only offer my most heartfelt sympathies to ALL involved.

To the Police, Fire and other emergency responders, STAY STRONG, you are needed and appreciated, and I know how this affects you wonderful folks as well.

I will offer more as details come out, but for now this is the best I can do. God PLEASE bless and keep all in your embrace!

I’m with you Fred. Evil stalks our land once again. I can’t comprehend the rationale behind shooting children. As Einstein said; “Evil is the absence of God.”

  3. Right Handed Cowboy says:

I sit here wondering what goes through someone’s mind to shoot 27 people of which 18 were children. How can anyone gun down a helpless child? My thoughts and prayers go to the families of this senseless violence. I am numb, having grandchildren the same age as the victims.

The police must that must process this scene as what it is a crime scene, and deal with their emotions later. May God give them the strength to do their job, as difficult a job that one has to do.

Unfortunately, been there, done that on many multiple shooting and/or active shooter homicides. Plus having worked Child Abuse .

    It never gets easy.

Dear God, WHY didn’t you intervene and protect these teachers and children in Connecticut? Signed: America

Dear America, YOU don’t ALLOW me in your schools… Signed, GOD

We have taken God out of our schools, our cities, our lives. What we have replaced Him with is Satan and his evil. This and other murderers are the direct result.

These creatures (they are not men) have no conscience. They are raised on video games that numbs them to the pain and lives of others. They are just blips on the screen to them.

How many more creatures are out there waiting for a chance to destroy more “blips on the screen”? And how many more families will mourn the lost of their precious children?

My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and may God shower His loving mercy upon them.

Tragic…I am sure there is a special place in hell for people who kill innocent children. I can maybe see some twisted reasoning when someone is angry, frustrated, upset, or whatever their misguided reason for killing is, that kills someone that caused them grief to begin with. MAYBE!!!

But to kill elementary school aged children, I can not put my head around this. I can NOT for the life of me ever understand what is going on in the head of some insane and sick diseased scumbag that would do this.

My heart goes out to the parents and families of all involved.

And for God sake, can we put off for a small while, the gun control nonsense that is sure to ensue? There is time enough for that later. For now, it’s time to grieve and try to understand. Evil knows no bounds. Like you Fred, I find myself welling up for people and for children I do not know. I feel so helpless as there is nothing I can do, and nothing I can say to make anything even a little bit better.

They say God has a plan. I have to wonder if his plans include this? If it does, I have an opinion about his plan that is not very good.

    My heartfelt condolences.

Prayers go out to those poor families. Heartbreaking.

  9. Cary says:

First, my thoughts and prayers are with the families involved. My own daughter is in kindergarten, and I cannot comprehend what the parents are going through right now.

Second, yes, let’s give the gun control issue a rest, shall we? Reports are that the gunman (and there may be more than one) stole the weapons he used - so no amount of laws or regulations would have prevented this tragedy.

Stay alert, America. It’s dangerous out there.

    • Katie says:

Connecticut has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation. The creature stole the guns from his mother. His mother went through hoops to legally get her guns.

It is not guns that drive this creatures to murder. It is something lacking in their souls to do these deeds.

  10. Steve Dennis says:

My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to all the family members and friends of the victims of this horrible tragedy. I cannot even begin to image what these people are going through.
