US says Assad used chemical weapons

WASHINGTON (AP) - The United States has conclusive evidence that Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime has used chemical weapons against opposition forces seeking to overthrow the government, crossing what President Barack Obama has called a “red line” that would trigger greater American involvement in the crisis, the White House said Thursday. SOURCE

I may anger some folks with my attitude regarding Syrian violence and the use of Sarin by the government, but quite frankly, I DON’T CARE how many Syrians are killed by Syrians, they are all Muslims and LESS Muslims is a good thing in my book.

When I see headlines like this: Obama Admin Considers Resettling Thousands of Syrian Refugees in U.S., I can’t help but think, the more dead Syrians there are, well, that just less Syrians for Obama to import into OUR economy. Yeah, I know, I’m a real heartless SOB aren’t I?

Something else I think about it this; maybe it’s less of Obama’s friends and relatives in the Muslim Brotherhood that would be getting a free ticket to America.

Now, to address Sen. John McCain and his supposedly being told that we’re going to provide arms to the rebels thing; Sen. McCain, I realize that you’re a demented OLD RINO and not worth a bucket of warm salsa, but I have to point out to you Sir, the last time we gave weapons to Islamic rebels it didn’t turn out quite like we had planned.

Sir, I have to presume that you remember the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan? I have to further presume that you are aware that the weapons that WE supplied to those rebels in Afghanistan, the Mujahedeen, are now in the hands of al-Qaida and the Taliban and that those weapons have been turned against our own soldiers.

You DO grasp that one simple fact don’t you Sir?

I have long heard it said, “There’s NO fool like an OLD fool”, and that line seems to apply to Sen. John McCain. If McCain thinks that arming the Syrian rebels is the right thing to do, if he thinks it’s a good thing, all I can say is; those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Arming Syrian rebels is a repeat of history and those weapons WILL be turned on the American people at some point in time. Sooner rather than later I am guessing.

To ALL U.S. Senators and Congressmen; WHY do any of YOU care about what happens in Syria? Do you believe that once the Syrians are done fighting one another that the victor will somehow magically become our friend, our buddy, our ally?

Are ALL of you BLIND to what is happening in this nation?

I know from having heard it said by my own Congressman, Pete Sessions, that he just doesn’t have the time to get involved in matters that aren’t a part of HIS committee.

Is that how it plays out with the rest of you?

Sessions said we don’t have the money to put special prosecutors on the case of ALL the scandals that the Obama administration has committed, yet we seem to have money to arm Syrian rebels, we seem to have money to place troops in Africa to search for an evil war-lord, Joseph Kony. Fox News.

It seems that we can always come up with the money to fund some *pet project* or the *personal cause* of any member of the Senate or House, we can fund Obama making jaunts all over the world and accomplishing exactly NOTHING.

But when I sit there and hear MY Congressman tell the crowd that HE just doesn’t have time to get involved in investigations of serious wrong-doing, and hear him say that we don’t have the money to do so even if he was interested, I tend to get PISSED OFF!

This nation is supposedly BROKE, so says Pete Sessions, yet we can take on thousands of Syrian refugees? And we are about to be forced to consider this *Gang of Eight Idiots* idea of allowing what they claim would be close to 11 million ILLEGALS have a free pass as we grant them amnesty.

Let me tell you something my friends; I am almost 60 years old and once upon a time I would have beaten the hell out of ANYONE that even remotely suggested that the nation were dying and the only way to save it would be to overthrow the powers that be and just start over.

Today, I am standing here and telling you, one and all, we either remove the evil that has taken this nation or America will cease to exist and people like us will be no more!

I think this is just a way to take the heat off of BamBam, aka - Barry Sotero, aka Barrack Obama……he is in touble and he is going to shit gears and get people thinking in another direction instead of thinking impeach! Oh yeah, and of course, did I mention the what $100 mill or so he will spend in few weeks taking his family on Safari in Africa…………..Kenyens should stay in Kenya!

  2. BobF says:

When the twin towers came down, it was all Syria that danced in the streets. When Muslim terrorist attacks took place throughout the world, it was all Syria that supported them. It was all Syria which continually armed the Palestinians with rockets to shoot into Israel and it was all Syria which attacked Israel. Now today, they’re involved in a religious civil war and our so-called leadership wants to bet involved. Problem is both factions in this civil war hate the US and will do all they can to kill us. I wonder if McCain realizes how many Americans and Israelis will die if we arm these rebels? But then, he doesn’t care. All he cares about is getting reelected.

  3. Bloviating Zeppelin says:

    Stay OUT of Syria.

    PERIOD.

  4. Braden Lynch says:

Wanna bet that the chemical weapons used by the Syrians are the very same ones that were spirited out of Iraq in the run up to the second Iraq War? Saddam wasn’t stupid and gave them to the Syrians to prevent their destruction, just like he did with his air force to Iran in the First Gulf War. See, those WMDs went to Syria since it had none of these poison gas capabilities earlier. Proof to use against liberal idiots.

Personally, I want no more nation building for these ingrates. If we do get involved, it should only be to pound them back into the Stone Age with B-1s and B-52s and leave their country a smoking ruin of craters.

  5. NativeSon says:

If HUSSEIN would just leave the middle east alone-Israel would take care of the Syrians! IF we’re gonna send arms to ANYONE it should be ISRAEL!!!

  6. Capt Ron says:

#1- The Syrians have to hammer this out for themselves. IF we had a proper President, he would get in the face of Putin and tell him to stay the hell out and leave Syria to deal with itself. We back Israel, period, and to hell with the rest of them.

#2- To Congressman Sessions: If the wrong doings of late, particularly Benghazi, the NSA, etc., had happened under a Republican’s watch, I dare say the Democrats not only would jump into investigations with both feet, they would build a scaffolds on the Mall for the hangings. Laissez Faire regarding your Constituents and your duty in office are inexcusable sir. Get in there in the House and stir things up proper. Rally the others to demand accountability, AND take proper action to rectify the wrongs. Heads should proverbially roll on all counts, people should go to prison. What the hell sis we elect you for, glass-clinking and back-patting?

  7. Capt Ron says:

From the latest report on Military.com, it looks like we’re going to Syria next.
Bad, bad idea getting involved with others squabbles. The other Islamist states should deal with this, not us. Syria isn’t an ally and we don’t owe them squat.

  8. OregonBuzz says:

What is wrong with this picture?
War: USA Military support for Syrian rebels’…
Syrian ‘rebels’ pledge loyalty to Al Qaeda… ???????????????
There was suspicion after Benghazi that weapons were being funneled to the Syrian “rebels” from Turkey through Benghazi and that the two Seals that were killed were coordinating the operation. If true, we were/are already involved in something we should have stayed the hell away from. I believe we no longer have a Constitutional Republic. We are now under the thumb of an incompetent regime. It just hasn’t come out of the closet yet.

  9. Abigail says:

My first reaction was and continues to be pure anger. For all the reasons you and the others have stated. And disbelief that our ‘leadership’ would even consider this. Why? Why? and Why? Why is it our problem, why can’t we leave it to the mideast to take care of their own and why would anyone think this could turn out well?
I have supported my government through many fiascos but this I cannot support for any reason. If they are relying on intel about nerve gas, well, how did that WMD intel work out? And even if Assad used it, it ain’t our problem.
If washington can’t see that, they are truly blind. And we are in deep you know what.
    I am so ….disgusted.
    SOOS
    Stay Out Of Syria

I gotta stop reading the news…

  10. Texasperated says:

Now if I were in the WH I would set forth a simple plan. Arm both sides JUST ENOUGH that neither side wins and they keep killing each other off for years. Yep, that could work.

Now what has REALLY changed? Out of 93,000 people killed by the Assad regime, about 100 to 150 of them were killed by chemical weapons such as RAID and NAIR. The real “game-changer” here is that the Al-Qaeda faction has gained the upper hand among the rebels.

I’ve said it before, but say it again:

    Keep your powder dry

  11. mrchuck says:

    Simple:
Syrians are muslims,,,,therefore kill them all and bury all of them in trenches with pig guts & blood.
    Good riddance.

  12. Hgpsurf says:

Screw Syria. If we had a civil war no one would help us other than those who thought they could take us over. This is THEIR problem, not ours.

  13. Patrick Sperry says:

More space for a glass parking lot is how I view Syria…
