Obama: Professed 9/11 mastermind will be convicted
WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama predicted that professed Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed will be convicted and executed as Attorney General Eric Holder proclaimed: “Failure is not an option.”
Even if a terror trial suspect were acquitted, Holder said, he would not be released in the United States.
In one of a series of TV interviews during his trip to Asia, Obama said those offended by the legal privileges given to Mohammed by virtue of getting a civilian trial rather than a military tribunal won’t find it “offensive at all when he’s convicted and when the death penalty is applied to him.”
Obama quickly added that he did not mean to suggest he was prejudging the outcome of Mohammed’s trial. “I’m not going to be in that courtroom,” he said. “That’s the job of the prosecutors, the judge and the jury.”

Is Barack Hussein Obama a fool or is he a diabolical, terrorist supporting genius?
IF these trials are held on U.S. soil, the defendants will be represented by court appointed attorneys. In a lot of criminal cases, a court appointed attorney is some kid right out of law school, a bleeding heart crusader that went to work for the Public Defenders office because he is convinced that he’s going to change the world and the realities of LIFE haven’t jumped up and slapped him in the face yet.
That will NOT be the type of attorney that represents Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
Khalid will be represented by the best we have to offer, and WE, the U.S. taxpayers, will be the ones paying for it. And don’t think for one minute that this story will not be used as a part of the defense. “U.S. President suggests GUILT of my client your Honor, and the President has influenced and tainted the opinions of ALL possible jurors!”. I would bet on it. In fact, I would be shocked if a defense attorney didn’t use that as an opening gambit to try and get ALL charges dropped and have Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and his cronies, freed.
Geraldine Davie, whose 23-year-old daughter died at the World Trade Center’s Tower One, attended the hearing as a spectator, and said she wants Mohammed to stay in the military system. “He’s not a U.S. citizen, why should he have those rights? My daughter didn’t have those rights,” said Davie, who lives in Springfield, Va.
Opponents of the plan, including Holder’s predecessor Michael Mukasey, have accused him of adopting a “pre-9/11″ approach to terrorism.
If ever there was a time in U.S. history where the true allegiance of the POTUS could be brought into question, this is it. Obama has long been suspected of being a supporter of Islam. He has taken great pains to keep his birth certificate hidden, his ties to his Islamic background buried and he continues to declare that he is a 100% American loving Christian and NOT a ‘stealth Muslim’.
His actions in making decisions concerning our troops fighting in Afghanistan, and now this decision to bring KNOWN, and confessed, Islamic terrorists to trial on U.S. soil speak greatly to the contrary regarding his Islamic ties.
Obama’s own actions speak volumes to his claim of being an America lover.
This is a man that refused to wear an American flag pin on his lapel while campaigning for the office of President. He began to wear one ONLY after he was soundly castigated in the press at the behest of some adamant American patriots.
This is a man that will NOT place his hand over his heart during the playing of our National Anthem. A simple gesture, and one that means EVERYTHING to real Americans, the PATRIOT that is ready to stand and take this nation back from the clutches of this socialist SOB that is currently sitting in the Oval Office.
This is a man that folds his hands over his CROTCH when everyone around him is saluting and honoring this nation!
It doesn’t matter what the song or anthem is that’s being played, Obama grabs his crotch like a ‘hood rat rapper!
It is, in MY opinion, not at all out of the realm of possibility for Barack Hussein Obama to be that ‘stealth Muslim’ supporter that so many believe him to be. He bows DEEPLY to the Saudis and Japanese yet he won’t honor THIS nation, our FLAG or OUR National Anthem.
It is, in MY opinion, also well within the realm of possibilities that Obama would say and/or DO anything he could to protect his Muslim brothers and his 1st and ONLY allegiance, ISLAM!
In all fairness, the second picture (taken at Arlington, not his most recent trip, but a prior one) was snapped right after he had stepped on the podium, during the playing of Hail to the Chief. Granted, he could have just stood at attention, w/o the crotch grabbing, but what do you expect from a hood rat who doesn’t have a single inkling of what it means to serve his country, and show respect?

Fred, thanks for those comments. They were spot on. This guy who is part of the new American left is about unpatriotic as you can get. This guy and his leftest friends seek to undo the Constitution not by amending, but rather by executive order, judical review and dare I say election fraud. Obama is not a revolutionary, but a counter-revolutionary who would set aside the revolution of our forefathers. There is nothing American about this man for he is unAmerican and unpatriotic. Oh, did you hear Senator Kyl (R-AZ) call out Eric Holder today on the trial not being a military tribunal???? It was like “Why would you risk national security and safety by giving civilians access to top secret information when a tribunal would eliminate that risk???”

Has anyone considered the imminent danger every member of the jury/juries will be in in those terrorist trials?
It is certainly within the realm of possibility that some imam (?), somewhere will issue a “Fatwa” demanding the death of every member of those juries. (A Fatwa is issued by a recognized religious authority in Islam.SOURCE) That Fatwa would stand, I suspect, for the lifetimes of those jurors. I have to wonder if the government has made arrangements to place every juror in the Federal Witness Program, along with their immediate families, for the remainder of their lives? (Fatwas involving violence are more likely to be well known than other fatwas, especially to non-Muslims. Isn’t this question being considered? Think about it. Who the heck is going to want to serve on those juries? Surely they will be surrounded by armed guards 24 hours a day for months and possibly even years as these trials grind on. Remember the last terrorist trial lasted five years.

You can bet the ACLU’s top lawyers are fighting amongst themselves to take up the defense of these terrorists. They’ll use every legal maneuver and technicality the know in order to get them acquitted.
Bob F, I checked out your link and the information was informative. I wasn’t aware of the histroy of Occidental College. And you are right about the ACLU attorneys being lined up each one hoping for the assignment to defend the terrorist and bash America.
I have a picture of me sitting in the jury pool in that federal court house only a few blocks from ground zero and the defense attorney asking: Mr. Russell have you formed an opinions regarding the guilt or innocents of the defendants, My reply: hand be the rope! Defense attorney: Your honor I ask that this juror be excused for cause. Reply for Judge Roy Bean: Take you seat on the panel Mr Russell! Oh! for the good ole days of the tall oak and a short rope!
Silver Fox, what’s interesting is that article was written long before Obama announced his candidacy for the White House. He didn’t anounce his candidacy until a year after the article was written. Judi McLeod had quite an insight into what was happening in the Democrat party and the danger facing America with an Obama presidency.
Our Judicial system is based on our constitution and the rule of law. Its key purpose is to serve those who are citizens and subjects to the constitution and the laws that have come forth.
These people were not in the jurisdiction of this court be it state or Federal, at the time they committed these acts. These were acts of war, to which our civil court system has no guidelines or jurisdiction. The obvious answer to who has jurisdiction is our military court system.
We have a person from another nation, doing an action orchestrated from another nation, following guidelines and laws in place in the nation of action. Our only jurisdiction is through military intervention reacting to a declaration of war against us and so making war. Once again outside the jurisdiction of our legal system.
It won’t take a very impressive attorney to move for dismissal from a court with no jurisdiction over the case and no charges that apply to such acts as described above. The judges only recourse is to toss the case.
It just makes me sick.

I found myself asking ‘Why would he be doing this?” a lot over the past day or so, especially since several have pled guilty and ask to sentenced. And I can find no answer.. I do believe he is diabolical and very smart, but I do believe there are many in his posse plotting right alongside him. There is an ulterior motive.
So, the POTUS decides that we don’t need to rush investigation in the Fort Hoof terrorist act, but lets hurry up and bring these guys here and give them a ‘fair’ trial where he says they will be found guilty and sentenced to death?? (What is he God and KNOWS how the jury will decide after a farce of a trial??)
Also, they will need to be judged by a jury of their peers?? WTH?? And where are we going to find 12 terrorists (for each trial) that will be willing to admit they are terrorists to sit on a jury? Just sayin..

There may be enough evidence to impeach him NOW and there’s not enough control in the house/senate, but if there was, would any of the pussiefied girlymen have the balls to proceed with it? I think not. It would put a damper on their country club attendance and working on their re election campaigns.
This is an extremely high risk / high gain action. You may state your confidence in a conviction but that in and of itself may be larger grounds in terms of prejudice for a civilian mistrial. Very can be absolutely certain in a jury trial.
One very blatant and obvious problem will be the seating of even the jury. I could make an excellent argument that, for example, KSM will NEVER find a “jury of his peers” in America. If he were to, one could be assured of an acquittal.
With this in mind, and with an easier and more appropriate route of trial, that is to say, a military venue, what would be the purpose of holding 9/11 terrorist and KSM to civilian thresholds?
THAT is the question that needs to be answered all around.
Or is it, as is currently alleged by the DEM/MSM, that AG Holder himself made the decision to try in a civilian venue, taking it out of the hands of Mr Obama? And did Mr Obama acquiesce because he is obtuse or because there must be a Final Fall Guy should the trail explode in faces?
