Taliban militants destroy bridges in Afghanistan

ARGHANDAB, Afghanistan (AP) - Taliban militants destroyed bridges and planted mines in several villages they control outside southern Afghanistan’s largest city in apparent preparation for battle, residents and officials said Tuesday.

More than 700 families - meaning perhaps 4,000 people or more - had fled the Arghandab district 10 miles northwest of Kandahar city, said Sardar Mohammad, a police officer manning a checkpoint on the east side of the Arghandab River. Police on Tuesday stopped and searched every person passing on the road.

On the west side of the river, hundreds of Taliban controlled around nine or 10 villages, Mohammad said.

“Last night the people were afraid, and families on tractors, trucks and taxis fled the area,” said Mohammad. “Small bridges inside the villages have been destroyed.”

Talk about your conflicting information, Afghan citizens evacuating, the Afghan army sending in re-enforcements and coalition forces say they “found no evidence that militants control the area.”

So, if the Taliban isn’t moving in and taking control what are the citizens running from and why is the Afghan army sending in plane loads of troops?

A Taliban commander named Mullah Ahmedullah called an Associated Press reporter on Tuesday and said that around 400 Taliban moved into Arghandab from Khakrez, one district to the north. He said some of the militants released in Friday’s prison break had joined the assault.

“They told us, ‘We want to fight until the death,’” Ahmedullah said. “We’ve occupied most of the area and it’s a good place for fighting. Now we are waiting for the NATO and Afghan forces.”

He called an AP reporter? AP reporters have their numbers listed with the Taliban and it’s leaders?? Who would have ever imagined? A terrorist phone book of MSM reporters.

I wonder if any of this would be going on had The Decider actually stayed the course, where the course really was? Do you think that by now we’d have administered the coup de grâce to the Taliban? Do you think that all the Taliban and al-Qaida fighters that came to Iraq to fight us would have come to Afghanistan instead? Would we have been better off to maintain a 1 front fight in destroying the Taliban?

And while I’m thinking about it, is it OK to kill the Taliban soldiers? Some folks seem to think we shouldn’t kill the enemies that are attacking the USA right now, enemies that are engaged in a direct and ILLEGAL invasion, I don’t want to call for the death of the Taliban and bruise the sensitivities of the FAUX Intellectuals that think killing OUR invaders is wrong, all 10 or 12 of those FAUX Intellectuals. :P

Some people are too damned PC in their solutions now a days I think, they get all touchy feely tree hugger concerned when you talk about KILLING the enemies of this nation, they have forgotten what WAR really is, what it’s all about, but if we don’t stop the terrorists and ILLEGAL invaders that are crossing our border, we WILL be fighting for our lives in the streets of America soon.

Not all things can be solved by LAW ENFORCEMENT at the legal border crossings and when it comes to negotiations, an act of Congress is only as strong as the military that backs it and the CITIZENS that support it, Afghanistan is the place we need to be, it IS where the battle for the ultimate victory against this Islamic insurgency will take place but if we don’t stop the ILLEGAL invasion of the USA we WILL be fighting terror here in America, and it may not be Islamic insurgents that we’re fighting.

I make NO apologies to ANYONE for openly stating that I want to kill the enemies of this nation, and further, I submit that those that call my views an incitement of MURDER are as much an enemy as those that cross our borders, invade our nation and prepare to commit terrorist attacks upon the citizens OF this nation.

For those that actually wore the uniform and took the oath, it ALL has a different meaning I suppose.

I wonder what the FAUX Intellectuals will say when this all comes to fruition and the INVADERS attempt to take back what they feel is lawfully theirs? Will negotiations work then?

Is it Murder or Self Defense?

Recently, I have been taken to task and called a ‘vile, redneck murderer’ because I advocate placing the U.S. military, combat troops, along the U.S. and Mexican border, and I also, unequivocally, advocate those troops being put in place and armed with FULL combat gear and ORDERS to SHOOT TO KILL anything crossing our borders ILLEGALLY.

I do NOT believe this constitutes and act of MURDER, I believe that these actions that I advocate constitute lawful defense of home and country, and would be defined as lawful acts of combat against an invading force intent on establishing a hostile takeover of this United States of America if we had a president with BALLS!

Murder: By definition

n. The unlawful killing of one human by another, especially with premeditated malice.

v. tr.
1. To kill (another human) unlawfully.
2. To kill brutally or inhumanly.

Further, I believe that in defending this nation in such a manner would fall under the auspices of The Castle Doctrine and Self-Defense and would be a duly lawful act as such.

Generally, the “castle doctrine” provides that someone attacked in his home can use reasonable force, which can include deadly force, to protect his or another’s life without any duty to retreat from the attacker. It is defined differently in different states. The name appears to have its origin in the English common law rules protecting a person’s home and the phrase “one’s home is one’s castle.”

Folks, I am firmly convinced that we are being invaded by a hostile force that intends to do harm to as many Americans as they possibly can as they attempt to reinsert themselves in a land that they consider to be lawfully theirs, Aztlán, and damn the consequences to the American people in the process.

I am told that we don’t need any more rednecks down on the borders making it even worse than it already is for border patrol personnel, SOURCE, and with that thought I tend to agree, but we DO need professional fighting men and women on that border, and a professional soldier is something my accuser has no understanding of apparently, nor does he comprehend defense of the nation.

We must stop this ILLEGAL INVASION by any means necessary.

In WWII, when our troops swarmed the beaches of Normandy, Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima, Tarawa, and many other places, we were looked upon as INVADERS, and many of our troops were killed in the process of taking those lands.

Today the United States of America is being invaded and I ask you, wouldn’t it be our right, nay, our DUTY, to repel those invaders as forcefully as necessary?

If someone breaks into your home you have every right to shoot them dead, well, the United States of America is MY home, I feel that same right applies, to ALL of us.

I am asking all of my readers for an honest opinion, would stationing troops on our borders and giving the order to SHOOT TO KILL be an act of murder or is it an act of self defense, and the defense of our nation?

Border Patrol Contract Workers Allegedly Released Illegals

SAN DIEGO - Two Border Patrol contract workers were arrested for allegedly conspiring to shuttle illegal immigrants from San Diego to Los Angeles for $2,500 apiece instead of returning them to Mexico.

Christopher Saint Lucero and Manley Lamont Smith work for Wackenhut Corp., which holds a Border Patrol contract to escort illegal immigrants to Mexico after they are captured by agents in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

It was unclear how long the alleged scheme lasted and how many illegal immigrants were released on U.S. soil. According to court documents, Saint Lucero told a colleague that he had been involved in about 10 smuggling attempts.

The men were arrested Sunday after Saint Lucero allegedly escorted a group of illegal immigrants from the Border Patrol’s Chula Vista station in suburban San Diego to the border in Tijuana, Mexico. According to a statement of probable cause, Mexican authorities refused to admit two who identified themselves as Salvadorans. One was an undercover agent.

Authorities say Saint Lucero then brokered the deal to get the two men to Los Angeles. Smith allegedly met them at the Border Patrol station in his Wackenhut Jeep and offered to hide them.

The arrests are the latest in a string of corruption cases that have unsettled the Border Patrol and Customs and Border Protection, which oversees border crossings. A border inspector in San Diego was charged last month with allowing motorists to pass through his booth with illegal immigrants and marijuana in their vehicles.

OK, let me see if I have this straight, Wackenhut, a private security agency, is doing contract work for the Border Patrol, the same Wackenhut that was fired from another big job recently, Wackenhut Fired from All Ten of Exelon’s Nuclear Plants, supposedly because their guards were doing their sleeping ON THE JOB, Asleep At The Power Plant

The very same Wackenhut that was fired from it’s contract at Homeland Security for not being able to properly secure the facility?? Wackenhut Loses HSA Contract

That’s the Wackenhut that our Border Patrol is using to supplement their forces??

Guys that are supposed to be protecting this nation, albeit under private contract, these guys are filling their pockets with money by transporting ILLEGALS into L.A.?? The very ILLEGALS that they are being paid to keep out of the USA??

Ya know, maybe I’m missing something here but wouldn’t the recent and documented failures of Wackenhut, wouldn’t those terminations of contracts be some kind of an indication to the people that are in charge of defending, and hiring those TO defend and protect this nation??

Marc Shapiro, a Wackenhut senior vice president, said the smuggling arrests are the first since the contract began in 2006. Wackenhut has escorted illegal immigrants back to Mexico more than 1 million times during that time, he said.

Mr. Shapiro, I take issue with that statement, while it’s probably true this is the 1st time there have been arrests, are you 100% certain that it’s just not the 1st time your people have been caught??

I’m would feel fairly secure in saying that this wasn’t some ’spur of the moment’ thrown together thing where a couple of security guards brainstormed themselves a way to pick up a quick few thousand dollars, I’d be very careful about calling it a 1 in a million shot if I were you…

But even if it were the 1st incident, now is the perfect time to make an example of your guards and make the rest of them painfully aware that there will be serious repercussions should an incident such as this ever happen again, and quite frankly, look at this through the eyes of the U.S. taxpayer, the people that are quite literally paying your salary, your companies past performance has been somewhat less than stellar…

I am really put out with what passes for security on our border with Mexico, we are hiring Rent-A-Cops when we should be deploying the National Guard, but we can’t do that because the Guard is taking up the slack for our undermanned army in Iraq and Afghanistan…

Here’s a thought, instead of hiring Wackenhut and being sorely disappointed, let’s hire some real professionals, like the guys from Blackwater USA, and put them on the border, and tell em to pretend they are doing an escort on Route Irish, and tell them to forget ROE’s, let your conscience be your guide, in 6 weeks we wouldn’t have an ILLEGAL problem…

Maybe I expect too much from the federal government, I don’t expect welfare or food stamps or free health care, but is asking for strict, reliable and competent border security asking for too much??

Mexican villages feel U.S. slowdown as cash stops flowing

LA PAROTA, MEXICO — Freddy Arroyo’s wife was nearly nine months pregnant, but the $10 a day he earned delivering water couldn’t feed his two children, let alone a new baby.

It was time to do what generations of young men in the parched village of La Parota in Mexico’s western state of Michoacán have traditionally done in tough times — head for Houston.

Catalina Orozco did not speak to her husband for weeks. Then five days after her daughter was born, the phone rang in the shack where the 26-year-old lives among other desperately poor relatives.

Calling from Houston, Arroyo listened with joy to the baby’s cries and then gave his wife the bad news.

“He said there was no work and that he couldn’t send us any money,” she said.

Villages across Mexico depend on money from migrant workers in cities like Houston. But now, as the U.S. economy slows, relatives in industries like construction are increasingly limited in what they can give.

“These days you just scrape by, nothing else. You can’t afford to send anything back,” Alberto Cruz, an illegal Mexican day laborer, said by telephone from Houston.

I guess this story was posted by the Houston Chronicle in an effort to illicit some sympathy for the plight of the poor Mexican migrant worker that only wants to mow your yard and send money home to his wife and kids…

I have a serious opinion on this subject and I feel that it needs to be taken to heart by ALL Mexicans and any others that come here ILLEGALLY, if ya can’t feed em, don’t breed em…

Hard attitude?? Yes it is, but in MY opinion we need to apply that same rule to the American welfare rolls as well, there’s a group of people in this nation that live off of welfare, charity, food stamps, handouts and unemployment, and you can bet that someone like this poor ILLEGAL that only came here so he could feed his family will be ON those rolls very soon, and he’ll bring his wife, kids, mother-in-law and a whole herd of cousins to the USA once he realizes that he can work the system…

The MSM in this nation does everything it can to slant their readers thoughts on ILLEGALS and the real danger they present to this nation, we have left leaning politicos that make repeated attempts at passing legislation that would grant immediate amnesty TO those ILLEGALS, some of those politicos claim to be Republican and Conservative, and seek the highest office in this land as they continue to try and deceive the American public regarding their true intentions…

Some so-called Republicans have recently condemned ALL Conservatives, claiming that we have destroyed the Republican party and that we wrap ourselves in the flag and demand way more than Americans should, all because we actually have the GUTS to stand up FOR America as opposed to those that are doing their level best to give Her away…

It’s about time that we ALL stood up and fought to save America, save Her from the ILLEGAL INVASION, from the likes of Hillary Clinton, Teddy Kennedy, John Murtha, Barack Hussein Obama and yes, even John McCain, and we’d better get busy, we really need to get this done while there’s still an America that’s worth saving…

Mexican military takes over town’s police force

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (AP) - There are no police anymore in Villa Ahumada. Even the mayor has fled.

Drug gangs have virtually seized this town of 1,500 not far from Texas, as Mexico’s cartels grow increasingly audacious.

The Mexican military took over the police department this week because all 20 officers on the force have either been killed, run out of town or quit, officials said Tuesday.

Mayor Fidel Urrutia took refuge in the state capital of Chihuahua City - 600 miles (1,000 kilometers) away - where he’s waiting for the soldiers to recover his town.

“Security will be in the hands of the army and the state (police) ministries, and it will remain like that indefinitely,” Chihuahua state police spokesman Marco Antonio Moreno said.

Late Saturday, some 70 assailants barged into town and killed the police chief, two officers and three residents. At least eight people were kidnapped.

The killings came a month after soldiers arrested eight men, including a police officer, during the burial of an alleged drug hit man in Villa Ahumada, about 80 miles (130 kilometers) south of El Paso, Texas.

There is little left to say that hasn’t already been talked to death, and about all I have to say is, when Mr. Bush??

When do we seal our border?? When do we put armed troops on the border?? When do we give those troops the order lock and load and to stop the border jumpers, drug dealers and other assorted trash and potential terrorists from entering this nation??

When do we reinforce our Border Patrol and take those ridiculous rules of engagement off of them and let them actually do the job that needs to be done??

Our government spends BILLIONS of our tax dollars in Iraq, floods that nation with our military and says it’s being done to make us safe here at home when all the while the invasion of the USA continues almost unabated and gun battles rage along our border as the drug cartels exercise their power, and Mr. Bush pretty much looks the other way…

When does it stop?? It certainly won’t stop under a McCain presidency, he is as pathetic on border issues as Bush, and the American people are buying right into it…

Will Obama give the orders to make it stop?? Maybe, if we can get pigs airborne…

And the ones that don’t buy into the possibility of a McCain presidency being a good thing and doubt it’s effectiveness are saying they’ll hold their noses and vote for him anyway, and I am finding that hypocrisy more and more against everything I hold dear in my heart…

The 1st time there is a story about a town or community on the U.S. side of the border being invaded, and having it’s citizens and police murdered by these drug gangs, well, maybe then McCain and his ‘amnesty‘ and ‘open borders’ buddies will actually take up the battle…

After a blood bath has occurred here the cries for border security will be loud and long, and the demands for action will be numerous, the MSM will publish and broadcast all kinds of investigative reports looking into why the border wasn’t secured and demanding answers as to why this was ever allowed to happen…

Yes, after the attacks happen here the call to action will be heard all over this nation, but that won’t be an action so much as a reaction…

A reaction too late…

Join us or die, drug kingpins warn Mexican police

CIUDAD JUAREZ, MEXICO — Drug cartels are sending a brutal message to police and soldiers in cities across Mexico: Join us or die.

The threat appears in recruiting banners hung across roadsides and in publicly posted death lists. Cops get warnings over their two-way radios. At least four high-ranking police officials were gunned down this month, including Mexico’s acting federal police chief.

Mexico has battled for years to clean up its security forces and win them the public’s respect. But Mexicans generally assume police and even soldiers are corrupt until proven otherwise, and the honest ones lack resources, training and the assurance that their colleagues are watching their backs. Here, the taboo on cop-killing familiar to Americans seems hardly to apply.

Police who take on the cartels feel isolated and vulnerable when they become targets, as did 22 commanders in the border city of Ciudad Juarez when drug traffickers named them on a handwritten death list left at a monument to fallen police this year. It was addressed to “those who still don’t believe” in the power of the cartels.

Of the 22, seven have been killed and three wounded in assassination attempts. Of the others, all but one have quit, and city officials said he didn’t want to be interviewed.

On Sunday, city spokesman Sergio Belmonte confirmed that Juarez’s police chief had submitted his resignation and said he would be replaced by a military official on leave from the armed forces.

Join us or die, drug kingpins warn Mexican police

I think that most anyone that has read my blog for very long knows exactly how I feel about Mexico and our unsecured border, I have made no secret of the fact that I have no use for Mexico, it’s citizens or it’s ineffectual army and police, and I really have a problem with the ILLEGAL INVASION that this nation is suffering, so, I am not going to preach on those topics this time, I’m going to give them a bit of rest…

What I’m wanting to do right now is ask a few questions, I hope I get some serious answers:

1. Given the candidates in the running at this time, does your choice for the office of the presidency support a strong and secure border??

2. Does that choice support strong and effective enforcement of the immigration laws of this nation??

3. Does that choice have a viable plan to stop this Mexican drug cartel BS from spilling over the border into our nation??

If you’re supporting John McCain, Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton, then the answer is a resounding NO!! Just sayin’… :roll:

Are we going to once again settle for appeasers, amnesty supporters, gun grabbers and those that would give the United States of America away in support of a North American Union??

We deserve a lot better America, but we have to take a hard stand and demand that we get that better and stronger government that we should have, we have to demand that the parties run a much higher quality candidate than we are seeing now, we have to demand that the candidates have some real qualifications and not just a great presentation of speech, we can’t just sit back and accept whatever the RNC, the DNC and the MSM tells us is best for us…

We must lose the apathy that has spread over our land, it’s time to think about what’s best for America and who will lead this nation back to the greatness that we, all of us, once took for granted, and we must never again settle for what is perceived to be the lesser of the evils…

And one last question, what are YOU prepared to do, you personally, if this violence does spill over the border and threatens our towns, our homes, our citizens and our way of life??
