Defense chief: Iraqis showed no will to fight at Ramadi

Iraq ImageWASHINGTON (AP) — The Islamic State group’s takeover of the provincial capital Ramadi is stark evidence that Iraqi forces lack the “will to fight,” Defense Secretary Ash Carter said in a TV interview that aired Sunday. The harsh assessment raised new questions about the Obama administration’s strategy to defeat the extremist group that has seized a strategically important swath of the Middle East. SOURCE

Long time readers of The TexasFred Blog will know; I was against our going into Iraq, we went for ALL the wrong reasons. Operation Iraqi Freedom was a *feel good moniker that was intended to bolster the resolve for Americans that had doubts.

Once the Iraqi Army was defeated and Saddam Hussein was taken prisoner, the Iraqis had more FREEDOM than they had ever known, and now they have blown it.

The entire time we were in Iraq the Iraqi army was NO THREAT, they went down like a rock; the Islamic insurgency was the real danger to American troops.

As I have said on numerous occasions on THIS blog; once we are out of Iraq it’s all over but the crying. I predicted that the Iraqis could not and would not stand against ANY invasion, of any kind, and that prediction has, sadly, come to fruition.

We have proven that an insurgency can be beaten down, albeit not without huge risks and loss of American lives, but ISIS, al-Qaida, whatever name they happen to be currently using has got to be stopped, but stopped in Iraq, and elsewhere in the world before they become even more entrenched in this nation than they already are.

No more *Operation Iraqi Freedom*, that was a comical title at best. Screw Iraq AND their freedom, it’s time to worry about Americans and American Freedom!

Our troops have the will, the ability and the skills to fight and to destroy our enemies. Our National Guard, Law Enforcement Officers and American Patriots have the will, and the ability to clean these ISIS, Muslim Jihadists OUT of America.

Barack Hussein Obama does NOT have the BALLS to allow such to happen to his Muslim brothers.

Just because ISIS won some territory in Iraq doesn’t mean they can or will win such here, but that is their goal and we are their sworn enemies, they have vowed to KILL us, every last man, woman and child.

I say, LET’S DANCE!

Since written time began, the peoples of the Middle East have been under heavy handed rule. That’s all they know and with the advent in Islam, it was made worse. Rulers like Saddam and Gaddafi, as much as we despised them, kept the peace in the Middle East as they didn’t allow terrorist groups like al Queada and ISIS to even take root. Mubarak of Egypt was a strong ally of ours and not only kept the peace with Israel, he protected their Southern border. Also under Saddam and Mubarak, Christians were allowed to worship freely.

The Iraqi military outmanned and outgunned ISIS every time and every time they folded like a cheap suite and surrendered. These are a people who would rather surrender and be executed than fight and survive. The Kurds, who the Iraqi’s hate, are at least willing to fight to the end.

Right now, fourteen Democrat senators like by Dick Durbin are pressuring Obama to allow 65,000 Syrian refugees, picked by the UN, to resettle here. Liberal Progressive Democrats are doing all they can to bring the enemy to our shores. Between Illegal Immigrants and Muslims, our nation is under attack and the American People don’t even realize it.

Bob, not too many people understand islam. It has an obligation to spread by the sword if deemed necessary. The government under bo is pouring gasoline on the fire.

  2. Alan Caruba says:

No more American troops. That said, the White House is likely to send in Special Forces to cover its failure to have kept troops there in 2011. We still have US troops all over the world…in South Korea since the 1950s. Let’s get out of the nation-building nonsense. Some areas like the Middle East have no history of anything but despots running the place.

  3. TexasFred says:

Bob and Alan; the nation building thing just doesn’t work, we all know that, and as far as Iraq is concerned, building a well trained army is a joke as well… The U.S. military trained and supplied the Iraqis, those supplies are now in the hands of ISIS…

Remember Charlie Wilson and the Mujahideen, they became al-Qaida and our troops have faced the weapons that we left in Afghanistan…

Apparently history has taught us nothing…

  4. Braden Lynch says:

We could have won if we had followed the blueprint of WWII and bombed them into utter submission and dependency on us for their daily bread. However, the cancer of islam makes it hard to succeed without keeping them down, much like their dictators.

I wish we could salvage them and save them from islam and successfully nation-build, but that is well past. Now, our only response should be to carpet bomb them for even the smallest of provocations. They need to fear us for there to be any modest peace.

    From the movie Aliens,
“We should blast off and nuke the site from orbit…just to be sure.”

  5. Wayne says:

All good points Fred. The INVASION of our REPUBLIC has been well planned. WE THE PEOPLE are going to be given a choice and I don’t think anyone is going to be happy about the options. Alan C. had a good quote on another blog. “woe to the land that is governed by a child.” by Shakespeare. bo and his supporters and allies (muslim brotherhood) are not adults that can be talked to on a level of rational thought. They see a world as they want it to be, not as a dangerous ever changing set of circumstances. Until we see islam as the real problem and deal with it on a fight back basis, we can only expect more conflict. The progs are importing the coming conflict.

I don’t know if it is so, a comment over at AT on this fighting business in Iraq.

The bottom line is Shiite Iraqis aren’t willing to fight and die to protect Sunni areas. This isn’t rocket science. In civil wars, men will only really fight for blood or religion.
    For us…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0srO4LTzVTE
Guess we will see plenty of blame game, well forever.

  7. Bunkerville says:

I am in total agreement with you. I just don’t see them stopping anywhere soon. Somalia, Yemen, Nigeria. We unleashed Pandora’s box. What boundary will they stop at and say enough? Africa? They are now in many countries, the far east especially. Iraq and Afghanistan are yesterday’s news in my book. Where ever there are Muslims, ISIS will follow I fear. Hope I am wrong.

    • Wayne says:

I don’t think you are wrong. I read somewhere that when the muzzies reach 5% of the native population, the trouble starts. Just look at Europe and the mess they’re in. Our government is facilitating this invasion. I call this treason.

Wayne, we are all getting older. Perhaps you know about Samuel Whittenmore? Maybe we can all vie for badass of the week. :)

  8. North Texas Drifter says:

Isis would stop in their tracks if the funding and supplies stopped. Why does the CIA fund these animals? I’ll tell you why — so that the Assad regime in Syria can be toppled and petro-dollars will remain in the control of western bankers. There is more to ISIS than meets the eye (as well as al-Qaida).

There is a threat greater than al-Qaida living in the White House.

    • TexasFred says:

Agreed on the SOB in the White House but I’d love to see some proof, and NOT Alex Jones, Prison Planet or Mother Jones, that the CIA is funding and supplying ISIS…

  9. North Texas Drifter says:

I know, I know, but who are you going to believe these days, Fred? The MSM? You’re smarter than that. I’ve seen plenty of articles saying the same thing for at least two years. They don’t all come from the same sources (well, ultimately, maybe they do, who knows?), but the thing is, it does all add up, that is, if you’ve got the stomach to sift through it. The answers I’ve come up with took a while to accept. It’s like pulling on a loose thread…

I may not know exactly who the enemy is and how they operate, but I do know that freedom is the answer. God bless.

    • TexasFred says:

      1. I didn’t say I believed anyone..
      2. I could, if I wished, post so much SPAM and conspiracy stuff that after a while I would have the same following as Alex Jones and Company…
      3. You have never seen me post the 1st item on this blog that wasn’t immaculately well sourced or if no source, stated as an *opinion* or offered for discussion…

If you can’t offer hard proof that the CIA is funding and supplying ISIS, well, there goes that argument, discussion and/or debate…
