Walking on the American Flag is NOT Art!

Bill Smith, Editor, Update on Story - Below is the video of the disgraceful flag desecration project. Watch a heroic veteran take a stand. As a veteran - I was moved to tears. I located and interviewed the veteran. He is Charlie Bennett, Dist 4 Commander, Maine American Legion. He is Vietnam veteran having served (1967-1979). For 11 1/2 months, he was on the Cambodian border with the 4th Infantry Division, U.S. Army. Bennett is a proud supporter of protecting the American Flag. He shared that he did not mind the criticism by campus officials and was proud to take a stand, but that he almost cried when the police indicated they were going to arrest him. He had always faithfully served his country and was hurt to think he would be arrested for protecting the American Flag. Commander Bennett has received numerous phone calls by people encouraging him to continue and has been called by the local news. He welcomes interviews and can be reached at 207-778-2340. As of this post, Charlie Bennett is returning to the front lines (the university) today but this time with his own “parade flag” and a sign that says ” You won’t walk on this flag!” We hope that many students and other veterans will stand with him. Charlie our prayers are with you!

The two of the persons in the video supporting the flag desecration project are are University leaders: the University’s President, Theodora Kalikow (the old “witch” who is seen telling Bennett that the project of walking on the flag is defending free speech) and the University’s Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, Allen Berger (the liberal educator who is seen telling Bennett that he (Bennett) didn’t fight for a piece of cloth). I am posting this in support and I hope MANY others will as well, let these asshats KNOW that there are REAL Americans out here, and we RESPECT the flag and what it stands for, and let them know, we’re mad as hell and we’re NOT going to take it any more!!

Calls in Sudan for Execution of Briton

KHARTOUM, Sudan (AP) - Thousands of Sudanese, many armed with clubs and knives, rallied Friday in a central square and demanded the execution of a British teacher convicted of insulting Islam for allowing her students to name a teddy bear “Muhammad.”

In response to the demonstration, teacher Gillian Gibbons was moved from the women’s prison near Khartoum to a secret location for her safety, her lawyer said.

The protesters streamed out of mosques after Friday sermons, as pickup trucks with loudspeakers blared messages against Gibbons, who was sentenced Thursday to 15 days in prison and deportation. She avoided the more serious punishment of 40 lashes.

They massed in central Martyrs Square outside the presidential palace, where hundreds of riot police were deployed. They did not try to stop the rally, which lasted about an hour.

It’s their nation, they can run it any way they please but how much more evidence does the world need before the belief that radical Islam is nothing more than PURE EVIL?? When was the last time there were protests or riots because of an irresponsible naming of a stuffed animal by a school teacher?? Anyone know, or remember?? I know I don’t…

When was the last time their were protests that turned into riots in the USA?? In a recent time frame in history, say the last 30 or so years??

1980: Miami
1991: Crown Heights Riot
1992: Los Angeles
2001: 2001 Cincinnati Riots
2001: Seattle Mardi Gras Riots

Look at what led to these riots, in all but one case it wasn’t religion or religious ideology, it was RACE, although religion may have well been a part of the one case in Crown Heights, New York, but I am not going to opine on the root causes of those race problems, that’s a topic for another post, but there was not an outrage in ANY of these protests and/or riots because of the naming of a stuffed animal, a child’s toy, a violation of some moonbat Islamic law I am sure but it wasn’t even an offhand insult to Allah, just their goat loving, child molesting founder of the sect, MoMo…

Thank God this isn’t a Muslim controlled nation, I would likely be beat to death for my feeling regarding the Islamic sect and it’s evil followers that subscribe to the belief that if you insult MoMo you must die, yes indeed, that is a religion of peace if ever there was one…

And folks, it’s things like this that make me a firm believer in MY opinion that there will never be PEACE in the middle east and other areas of the world that are dominated by Islam, Christianity, love of fellow man, freedom and democracy are foreign topics to these people and always will be, and we’re NOT going to convert the Muslims to Christianity, that’s been tried for centuries, all this is, in actuality, is oil and water, they don’t mix, never have, never will…

I don’t know about you, but in MY opinion, anyone that would call for the execution of a human being over then naming of a stuffed teddy bear is nothing more than a moonbat of the highest order and any EVIL sect that would consider such naming to be a crime, of ANY degree, is just as guilty, that isn’t a religion, it’s pure tyranny…

To the Ron Paul Supporters…

Today has been interesting to say the very least, some of us heard a rumor that went something along the lines of Ron Paul supporters are a rabid bunch of little critters and that they attacked in bunches anytime someone says so much as one word against their little ‘g’ god, and ya know what, it’s true, they’re like a herd of rabid attack poodles… :?

The experiment has ended, the folks that told us about the Paulies were correct in their descriptions, they are a rabid bunch of critters, poor and misguided souls that they are, some are terribly delusional and a few are down right nasty in their attacks on the free speech of others, and that in itself is pretty funny coming from a bunch of people that claim to be ALL about freedom and less governmental control, but they damn sure want to control the speech of any that don’t agree with their superficial little clown, as one of my comment makers so aptly put it…

Ron Paul doesn’t have a snowballs chance in hell of getting elected POTUS, I sincerely hope the only time he gets to see the White House is as a visitor, but I will say this, he does have some avid supporters, supporters that bring a blind loyalty and a desire to suppress the speech of others to the table, what more could a potential tyrant want or need??

Paulies take bait like a hungry large-mouth bass, they jump to Paul’s defense and swallow ANY bait, hook, line and sinker, and that’s all I was doing today, baiting the Paulies, I don’t give a damn about Ron Paul, he doesn’t have a chance in hell, I just wanted to stir his Paulinistas up a bit, and I did…

Ron Paul… Hell No

This story is posted by my good friend and blogging buddy Bushwack at American & Proud and I just thought you might enjoy it, I know the Paulinistas won’t be too happy with it, they don’t take well to anyone speaking ill of their little ‘g’ god… Go figure…

I was doing some research on Ron Paul, his positions, and opinions, I listened with an open mind thinking there must be something to this clown that I am not seeing.

I watched a debate, between him and a guy named Dinesh D’Souza at Freedomfest. I have read countless opinions from some of the best writers of political issues. I have had several debates in blogs and forums with Paul supporters. I am still unconvinced of his “qualifications” or his supporters perception of his worth to America.

Ron Paul’s belief that all of our issues can be blamed on us not obeying the constitution is seriously flawed, his plan to eliminate the IRS, and other federal entities can not be done without great pain to our nation, and in reality might actually finish us as a country.
While I can’t stand paying taxes, I hate the IRS with a passion, I also realize that it is a necessary evil, the monies paid in taxes go to our national needs, infrastructure, military, and too others to list here… The point being, where would the money come from?

We all know how I feel about his “bringing our troops home from everywhere and building more bases here” his Isolationist policy solution would be great, if the whole world bought into it.

One of the biggest problems I have with Ron Paul is: he has got a following of 9-11 truthers, White supremacists and extremists from all walks of life are flocking to Ron Paul, including those of the ISLAMIC RADICAL world. This tells me that Ron Paul while sounding like a Libertarian extremist, is really no better than those we oppose.

Ron Paul is a useful idiot IMO, he brings some of the leaders of our nation back to reality and reminds them that someone is watching the constitution. Ron Paul has been faithful to the document in his career, but someone that unwilling to see outside of the black white print, and look at the intent, is dangerous to us.

If he would bring our troops home ASAP from all over the world, would he also BAN Abortion in the same time frame? Would he appoint those to the supreme court that would over turn Roe V Wade? Would he or would that be stepping on the law?

Listen to the debates Ron Paul has participated in, he is an apologist, a whiner and a build a fence around our nation… is it to keep us in, or the enemy out?

I say HELL NO to RON PAUL as President, but I am glad he is in Congress.

Gunmen Shoot, Kill Iraqi Official in Baghdad

BAGHDAD — Two carloads of gunmen ambushed a top aide to Iraq’s Finance Ministry on Sunday in Baghdad, killing him and his driver, police said. The two were among 15 people killed or found dead in Iraq.

The Finance Ministry had no immediate comment about the attack on Qutaiba Badir al-Din Mohammed, a Sunni adviser to Iraq’s finance minister.

Violence claimed the lives of 10 Iraqis in Diyala, the troubled province northeast of Baghdad. Police said the victims included an Iraqi soldier, a policeman and an 8-year-old child, all killed separately.

The soldier died when gunmen attacked his patrol in Khalis, a mostly Shiite town 50 miles north of the capital, police said. Three other soldiers were wounded in the attack, they said.

The child died after seven mortar rounds landed on a residential area in the same town at sunrise, police said. A woman was also wounded by the barrage. And the policeman was killed in a drive-by shooting in nearby Muqdadiyah, 60 miles north of Baghdad, police said.

If you haven’t noticed, this story is from FOX News, so, I don’t want to be getting the nasty emails about MSM sources such as AP, Reuters, USA Today and so forth, and their left leaning prejudice concerning Iraq, this is from FOX News, the darling of the right, fair and balanced, a beacon of truth, the only reliable news source available to Conservatives today, FOX News, the gospel of news reporting, so, I am guessing that this source should satisfy all of you on the right and perhaps it won’t drive the Bush Bots over the edge as they look for new ways to call me a libber…

Iraq is never going to have a fully peaceful environment, it won’t happen, it can’t happen, not as long as there are militant Muslims that feel they must enforce their agenda with a bombing or drive-by murders, there may not be as many bombings and drive-by shootings as in days past, and that’s a good thing, less American troops being killed is ALWAYS a good thing, but Iraq will continue to be plagued by acts such as this, as will Afghanistan, Blast Targets Afghan Lawmakers; 28 Dead, it’s the nature of the beast and there’s not too much we can do about it as long as there are radical Mullahs that preach death and destruction as a means to THEIR end and there are weak minds willing to listen TO them and carry out these vile acts of cowardice…

The enemy in Iraq and Afghanistan and many other parts of the world IS radical Islam, I have written this before and I have made no retreat from my position either, IF Islam truly is the religion of peace, as they claim it to be, then Muslims are going to have to stand and put an end to this violence themselves, there is no other way that it will, or can end, and if Muslims aren’t inclined to end this themselves, then they will have to live with the consequences brought against them because of the actions of others…

And the biggest fear we have at this moment is the possibility that Pakistan may well fall into the hands of Islam, Pakistan is a nuclear power and the very last thing this world needs is nukes in the hands of avowed terrorists, and that is exactly what’s going to happen if Pakistan falls…

Why do you think it’s been so quiet in Iraq lately?? The bad guys are grouping up and getting ready to go to work in Pakistan, bet on it…

Child Attacked Over Soldier Costume

This story was posted today by my blogging buddy at Malagents Domain, this is one of the most disturbing stories I have seen in a long time, but even more disturbing than the story itself is a couple of the comments made by certain individuals…

I encourage you to read this story and click on the link to see the comments that were made, and I hope some of you will tell these people exactly what you think of them too…

On my way home tonight I was drawn into an incident that has me so angry that I could not even write about it until I calmed down a bit.

In a residential neighborhood I stopped at an intersection and witnessed several children who appeared to be fighting a few yards from my vehicle. At first it did not seem real serious, however, one of the children said something that caused me to pay more attention. He said “You’re a terrorist just like your dad, I’m going to kill you just like the Iraq is gonna kill him.” It was then that I realized what was going on. A young boy, probably 10 or 11 was dressed as a US soldier, he was pinned on the ground while a group of four or five other boys where hitting and kicking him while at least two older people in costumes watched.

I left my truck in the street and got out just as one boy picked up a softball sized rock and headed towards he boy pinned on the ground. He was yelling “MURDERER” over and over. I yelled at the boy with the rock who dropped it and ran as he saw me. The others did not stop attacking the boy on the ground until I pulled them off of him. It was at this point the two older people started screaming at me. “What are you doing to my boys, leave them alone!” They were the mothers of two of the attackers. I told them I was calling the police and they all ran off.

The boy who had been attacked was crying and told me his father was serving in Iraq so he had decided to dress “like a soldier” for Halloween. He told me the attackers were his friends and that after one of the mothers start calling him and his dad a murderer his friends joined in and then attacked him.

Although he was bleeding he did not appear to be seriously injured and was very adamant that he did not want police or medical help. When I went to move my truck and call the police the boy disappeared into the neighborhood.

I’m still not sure whether I’m more disturbed by the children’s actions or the two mothers standing there watching. Were they going to let the boy be hit with a rock larger than a softball? Why did they allow the fight in the first place?

What kind of environment is required for ten year old boys to attack & threaten death over a soldier costume? I can only imagine the things they here at home and I can only imagine ho much worse these kids while be in the teens and as adults.

Had the assailants been a little older I’m afraid I would have been in jail before it was over. Given the fact they were literally children, I did nothing more then pull them away from the victim.

I really don’t give a damn what one’s position on the Iraq war or any war for that matter, but to allow this situation to happen is flat out wrong.
