Unbowed, politicians vow to execute child rapists
June 26th, 2008 . by TexasFredAngry politicians vowed to keep writing laws that condemn child rapists to death, despite a Supreme Court decision saying such punishment is unconstitutional.
“Anybody in the country who cares about children should be outraged that we have a Supreme Court that would issue a decision like this,” said Alabama Attorney General Troy King, a Republican. The justices, he said, are “creating a situation where the country is a less safe place to grow up.”
The court’s 5-4 decision Wednesday derailed the efforts of nearly a dozen states supporting the right to kill those convicted of raping a child - and said execution was confined to attacks that take a life and to other crimes including treason and espionage.
At issue before the high court was a Louisiana case involving Patrick Kennedy, sentenced to die for raping his 8-year-old daughter in her bed, an assault so severe she required surgery.

Decent people all over the USA are simply incensed with this ridiculous ruling of the SCOTUS, as much as I truly hate everything that Barack Obama stands for and has said so far in his campaign, even he came out saying that this was a wrong decision, Obama disagrees with high court on child rape case
And how do you know that a SCOTUS decision is 100% wrong?
When The DUmp has some of it’s members coming out and saying that child rape is at least as heinous as cold blooded murder, that’s a really good indication that the 5 addled brained old libbers on the SCOTUS quite seriously got it all wrong!
And for an even more telling indicator of the direction that about half of this nation is going, I give you this, I’m an Obama supporter, but I’m disappointed in his opinion., when Obama isn’t liberal enough for some folks, I begin to seriously worry, and dear readers, please be forewarned, some of the language in that thread link gets a bit rough, it is after all, Democratic Underground, but reading it will give you an idea of the liberal mindset, there appears to be a few voices of reason and sanity in there, but they are few and far between.
I am not an Obama supporter in any way, and I make no secret of it, but I must say, Obama surprised me today when he came out so quickly with his disagreement to this decision of the SCOTUS, maybe the ‘Dad‘ side of him came out, maybe he’s just pandering, I am not going to judge him on this one, he is a father and that can do a lot to change the ideas a man can have when he makes himself acknowledge that mental picture of ‘what it’, what if it were MY child?
Our children are, without a doubt, the most precious resource this nation will ever have and it is up to sane adults to love and protect those children and to give them the opportunity to grow up in an environment that is as free of pedophiles as we can possibly make it, we OWE that to our children, and we owe it to America.
The SCOTUS has let every decent American down in their decision on the execution of child rapists, I have no idea what it takes to bring about a reversal of the SCOTUS but this is one time that all parents, Dems, Repubs, Conservatives, ALL decent parents and grand parents need to rally together to protect the children of this nation.
Now is the time folks, contact your Senators and House members, make them painfully aware of your feelings regarding this matter, get MAD, get involved and lets get some results!

Execution of pedofile creeps who harm our children is NOT cruel and unusual punishment - in my opinion, it’s not punishment enough.. (if that’s possible — execution is pretty final). At least if they are executed, we know they will burn in hell…….

But, we can’t vote em out, the SCOTUS is for LIFE, and that’s a seriously bad deal too.

Well, I was pretty sure that was what you meant, but ya gotta spell it out for those that want to take us to task for every word.
Seems to me that once upon a time rape of a child carried the death sentence, but I may be wrong. I know this case in Louisiana will be taken care of in the prison to be sure.
Gov. Jindal came up with a next best punishment, but it needs to be with a very old, dull, rusty hatchet, or a hammer maybe….uh, smelling salts, ’cause ya wouldn’t want the jerk to pass out…. and a hot poker to cauterize the wound…. wouldn’t want them to bleed to death, would we? SCOTUS wouldn’t like that…..
