OK, all through the Bush-Cheney administration, the loons on the left cried and moaned about the re-education camps that Cheney was having built so that they, the loons on the left, could be rounded up and taken to them and be forced to endure whatever type of tortuous re-education that The EVIL Cheney had in store for them.
Obviously, that never happened.
I received, via email, a plea to fight this bill, and I am not so sure that’s what needs to be done at this point in time.
What we have here before us now is a bill that proposes National Emergency Centers. After reading the text of this bill I am sure that this bill, like any other piece of legislation or law on the books in this nation, could be misused, wrongly interpreted or misapplied for vile and evil purposes.
But let me ask all of you this, in the event of a MASSIVE national emergency, just where are you going to turn other than a National Emergency Center?
I know that there are those among us that are survivalists. They have stockpiles of food, water and arms. They have skills and believe that they could survive off of the land and defend their piece of fortified land against all that tried to take them off of it. Maybe they can.
What about older Americans? What about sick and/or disabled folks? What about those with serious heart problems or diabetes for instance? What do they do? The heat or cold, depending on the season, is going to kill them. They aren’t physically able to fend for themselves in the wild. If you’re an insulin dependent diabetic, and you’re without power and the ability to keep your insulin COLD it will spoil and you are going to DIE once the ketoacidosis sets in, and that is a painful way to go. Cancer patients, dialysis patients, where else do they turn? Are they not supposed to expect that their GENERAL WELFARE should still be a part of their life?
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Let’s not start going off like the libtards with all of their maniacal conspiracy theories. Be ever vigilant, certainly, but don’t allow yourself to be consumed by fear. This may bear watching, but it is the DUTY of the FEDERAL government to adhere to the words written above. If they choose to do differently, then we deal with the reality that faces us.
Maybe I am too trusting in the military and police of this nation, maybe not, see Oath Keepers, but I do NOT believe that U.S. troops or American police would take up arms against their brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers and force anyone into internment camps as some seem to believe.
If the readers want to stand against this bill on principle, by all means, do so, but in my opinion we don’t need to automatically assume the worst. We should prepare FOR the worst, always, but the conspiracy theory stuff makes us ALL look bad.
