Israel mulls truce offer on Day 4 of Gaza assault

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) - Israel is considering suspending its Gaza offensive to give Hamas militants an opening to halt rocket fire on Israel, but the threat of a ground offensive remains if the cease-fire does not hold, an Israeli defense official said Tuesday.

Israel’s defense minister is to raise the proposal during a meeting of Israel’s security Cabinet on Wednesday, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly. Israel TV’s Channel 10 also reported such a proposal.

At the same time, the security Cabinet will also be asked to consider various plans for a ground invasion, the defense official said. The public rhetoric from Israeli officials has indicated they expect the operation to continue.

Earlier Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said the current, aerial phase of the operation was just “the first of several” that have been approved, an Olmert spokesman said.

I will say this, and I take no pleasure in doing so, but IF Israel doesn’t move ahead with the full prosecution of this offensive, if Israel doesn’t settle this Palestinian problem definitively, once and for all, I will withdraw ALL support OF Israel and will not support them again.

It’s just that simple. I am all for Israel doing what MUST be done, but I am terribly tired of Israel hitting back, using moderate force and slowing down, or temporarily halting the attacks from Palestine, and then just dumping their offensive, leaving far too much work to be done!

Israel starts off going great guns and then fizzles out after a few days, it’s like they go in all pissed off and righteous and then lose their will to fight.

This has happened several times in the past, and every time Israel stops killing the Palestinians, the Palestinians once again launch rockets into Israel, or sends in human bombers to target innocent people going about their daily lives. In my not so humble opinion, you do NOT engage in a fight without having the will and desire to be the outright and undisputed WINNER of the battle. I am not going to beat the hell out of someone and then stop on their liars promise to not attack me again. That is NOT how it works. If you don’t render your opponent totally incapable of striking back, they WILL, at some point in time, strike back.

Finish this battle Israel, finish it once and for all, or risk looking like a no warfighting buffoon that doesn’t have the courage, the strength and the determination to bring a fight to an obvious, and victorious conclusion!

Israel says Gaza assault ‘war to the bitter end’

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) - Israel obliterated symbols of Hamas power on the third day of what the defense minister described Monday as a “war to the bitter end,” striking next to the Hamas premier’s home, and devastating a security compound and a university building.

The three-day death toll rose to at least 315 by Monday morning, with some 1,400 wounded. The U.N. said at least 51 of the dead were civilians, and medics said eight children under the age of 17 were killed in two separate strikes overnight. Israel launched its campaign, the deadliest against Palestinians in decades, on Saturday in retaliation for rocket fire aimed at civilians in southern Israeli towns.

Since then, the number of Israeli troops on the Gaza border has doubled and the Cabinet approved the call-up of 6,500 reserve soldiers.

The strikes have driven Hamas leaders into hiding and appear to have gravely damaged the organization’s ability to launch rockets, but barrages continued. Sirens warning of incoming rockets sent Israelis scrambling for cover throughout the day.

There is a very simple solution to this whole thing, and it appears that much of the world overlooks it in their rush to condemn Israel. If Palestine will stop supporting Hamas and if Hamas will stop attacking Israel and it’s citizens with their rockets, Israel won’t kill all of you.

Israel has, apparently, taken ALL that it intends to take. Personally, I think they took too long to react. Israel has made every attempt to pacify the Palestinians and Hamas. They gave them Gaza, at much cost to themselves. The Israelis didn’t launch unprovoked attacks against Hamas and their Palestinian supporters, Israel was attacked, they were provoked, and now they have responded with force, yet you hear NO condemnation of Hamas for their attacks against Israel.

Protesters are going crazy at the Israeli embassy in London right now. They are screaming and ranting about the *mean and evil* response by Israel. They are seeking further condemnation of Israel. But I saw no demonstrations against Hamas when they launched unprovoked rocket attacks against Israeli civilians. Have I missed that event?

To the Israeli people I say this, stand strong, do NOT back down. Prosecute this until there is NO resistance, no more attacks on Israel. Please don’t bow to world pressure. You have every right to defend your homes, and you are NOT the aggressor in this action. The Israeli military needs to make a definitive statement this time, one that is SO crystal clear that even the most dedicated Hamas terrorist will understand it’s meaning.

Israel strikes Gaza in 2nd day of attacks

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) - Israeli warplanes pressing one of Israel’s deadliest assaults ever on Palestinian militants dropped bombs and missiles on a top security installation, a mosque, a TV station and dozens of other targets across the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip on Sunday.

Some 280 Palestinians have been killed and 600 people wounded since Israel’s campaign to quash rocket barrages from Gaza began at midday Saturday, a Gaza health official said. Most of the dead were Hamas police. Israel launched some 250 airstrikes in the first 24 hours.

Israel’s prime minister said the campaign could last longer than initially anticipated and the Israeli Cabinet approved the callup of thousands of reservists at its weekly meeting Sunday. Infantry and armored units were already headed to the Gaza border for a possible ground invasion.

Militants, unbowed, kept up the pressure on Israel, firing dozens more rockets and mortars at Israeli border communities Sunday. Two rockets struck close to the largest city in southern Israel, Ashdod, some 38 kilometers (23 miles) from Gaza, reaching deeper into Israel than ever before. The targeting of Ashdod confirmed Israel’s concern that militants are capable of putting major cities within rocket range. No injuries were reported.

The Palestinians want to keep on launching rockets into Israel?? Well, OK, here’s hoping that Israel wipes the Palestinian scum off the face of the earth!

I remember the 6 Days War, I hope Israel and it’s soldiers still have that drive, that will, that tenacity, the BALLS to get the fight on with such severity the Palestinians will be begging for peace. Only catch, don’t give it to them.

Why not give them peace if they beg for it? Simply because as soon as the can regroup and resupply, the Palestinians will once again be launching rockets into Israel, and once again be sending homicide bombers into Israel to kill innocent men, women and children.

Don’t stop Israel, don’t stop until there is a clear and decisive victory, a victory that places Gaza back in the hands of Israel and the Palestinians without a place to hang their hats. And to our own U.S. government, pay very close attention to this happening, if you do you will see exactly what happens when you try to deal with the Islamic hordes as you would a sane and normal people. You get stabbed in the back every time!

The attempted Islamic domination of the world MUST be stopped, the time is NOW, the war was begun in earnest on Sept. 11, 2001. Have WE forgotten what it feels like to be attacked? Have we lost the guts to stand up and kill OUR attackers? Have we gone so *One World* and PC that we can’t back Israel 100% in their efforts to stand against the Islamic hordes and Palestine?

This is not a time for political correctness, this is not a time for the feint of heart and bleeding heart libber mantra regarding those *poor Palestinians* and such similar bullshit! This is WAR and it is time to declare that we will NOT submit to Islam and we WILL fight to the death to stop them.

Now I don’t know about YOU, but as for me, if a man, a group or a nation threaten to wipe me and my family, my nation and everything I hold dear out if I don’t submit to them, I take that threat very seriously. Maybe the entire USA needs to take it seriously as well!

Arab world condemns Israeli attack on Gaza

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - The Arab world reacted with outrage at Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip on Saturday, launching scattered protests and calls for retaliation against Israel.

The Arab League announced a gathering of foreign ministers Wednesday would focus on the attack, said the organization’s chairman Amr Moussa.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit extended his condolences to the Palestinians killed in the attacks and said Egypt, which brokered a six-month long truce between Hamas and Israel that expired a little over a week ago, has been trying to avoid such an escalation.

“Today everybody has to stand by the side of the Palestinian people and stop this blind military action,” the foreign minister said.

Egypt also came under attack by many in the Arab world for its role, along with Israel, in closing the Gaza Strip after the militant group Hamas came to power in June 2007. The closure is often seen as abetting Israel’s siege of the crowded strip of land home to 1.5 million people.

I am going to keep this short and directly on point. Where in the HELL is the OUTRAGE when the pestilence known as Palestine launches rocket attacks on the innocent men, women and children of Israel?

The hypocrisy of the Islamic world speaks volumes regarding their integrity and the true intentions of their *Religion of Peace*.

I sincerely hope that Israel wipes the earth clean of this infestation called Palestine, and I would sincerely hope that many others would stand and *call* these Islamic asshats on their feigned outrage at the Israelis for responding in kind, and for the false condemnation that the Palestinians so easily exhibit!

If you don’t want to be attacked and killed, STOP your attacks and killing!

Israel launches air strikes on Gaza, 155 dead

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) - Israeli warplanes retaliating for rocket fire from the Gaza Strip pounded dozens of security compounds across the Hamas-ruled territory in unprecedented waves of airstrikes Saturday, killing at least 155 and wounding more than 310 in the single bloodiest day of fighting in recent memory.

The vast majority of those killed were security men, but civilians were also among the dead. Hamas said all of its security installations were hit and responded with several medium-range Grad rockets at Israel, reaching deeper than in the past. One Israeli was killed and at least four people were wounded in the rocket attacks. With so many wounded, the Palestinian death toll was likely to rise.

“The operation will last as long as necessary,” declared Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak, though it was not clear if it would be coupled with a ground offensive. Asked if Hamas political leaders might be targeted next, military spokeswoman Maj. Avital Leibovich said, “Any Hamas target is a target.”

The strikes caused widespread panic and confusion in Gaza, as black clouds of smoke rose above the territory, ruled by Hamas for the past 18 months. Some of the Israeli missiles struck in densely populated areas as children were leaving school, and women rushed into the streets frantically looking for their children. Most of those killed were security men, but civilians were among the dead.

Well Boo freaking hoo!! This just breaks my heart!! Yeah, it breaks my heart I tell you! It breaks my heart that Israel waited so damned long to react. The only criticism I will make is that, they took too long to act, and in MY opinion, their reaction wasn’t harsh enough! There are still Palestinians alive in the Gaza Strip, and as long as that continues to be allowed, Israel will continue to be attacked by Palestinian rockets and bomb wearing thugs!

Israel has sat back and tried to be nice, they have tried! They have given in at every turn and what did they get for their effort?? More rocket attacks from the Palestinian pestilence in Gaza, or more homicide bombers killing innocent Jews, men, women and children, as well as many visitors to Israel.

The Palestinians are nothing more than just another Arab, Islamic militant organization, intent on wiping Israel off the map. I have a different way of looking at threats of this nature. If an enemy threatens you, remove the threat. That is the only way to maintain YOUR peace. We, the American people, have done nothing to Islam, we didn’t attack them and kill their people by destroying Mecca, but they came to New York City and killed our people and destroyed the World Trade Center. They flew a plane into the Pentagon and killed many more innocent people! For acts such as those there must be severe retributions! Israel KNOWS how to extract that retribution!

Palestine continues to ignore the truce that Israel signed, signed in good faith. They continue to launch rockets into Israel. Those actions can’t go unanswered. Now Israel has responded and the AP, and most media sources will once again tell us how un-PC and intolerant Israel was, and how exceedingly harsh they were in dealing with the Palestinians.

To Israel I say this, PLEASE, continue to give the Palestinians 10 times more of this same retribution. Make them cry bitter tears. Force them to rethink their approach to living in the 21st century, or, give them the option of dying if they continue to commit their acts of violence and murder against Israel!

To the Palestinians, and radical Islam in general, I say this, we didn’t seek this fight, YOU brought it to the American and Israeli people. Not ALL Americans are as apathetic as our current President, or the President elect. Some Americans have no qualms with wiping you from the face of this earth, not because you won’t submit to OUR way of life, but because you want to KILL us because WE won’t submit to your religion of death and hatred!
