Bush says US expects Russians to leave Georgia
August 13th, 2008 . by TexasFredWASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush said Wednesday he is skeptical that Moscow is honoring a cease-fire in neighboring Georgia, demanding that Russia end all military activities in the former Soviet republic and withdraw all its forces.
“The United States stands with the democratically elected government of Georgia and insists that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia be respected,” Bush said sternly during brief remarks in the White House Rose Garden.
“To demonstrate our solidarity with the Georgian people,” the president announced that he was sending Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to Paris to assist the West’s diplomatic efforts on the crisis, and then to the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.

Bush says US expects Russians to leave Georgia
“Demonstrate our solidarity with the Georgian people”, maybe you could ask Congress to do what the moonbats at Democratic Underground did a while back, take pictures of their hands and send the victims photocopies OF their hands, thus demonstrating their *solidarity* and showing that they felt the pain too.
He also announced that a massive U.S. humanitarian effort was already in progress, and would involve U.S. aircraft as well as naval forces. A U.S. C-17 military cargo plane loaded with supplies is already on the way, and Bush said that Russia must ensure that “all lines of communication and transport, including seaports, roads and airports,” remain open to let deliveries and civilians through.
Ya know, if I was the Flight Commander on that 1st C-17 going in, I’d be wanting to know if there were some clearances in place, and some guarantees that me and my crew wouldn’t be blown to hell and back for violating Russian airspace or some such other BS accusation.
And as a side note, Bush and Company got relief supplies headed to Georgia a lot quicker than they did to New Orleans after Katrina.
That’s gotta make the Democratic welfare slugs in NOLA feel a lot better.
A mostly Christian Ally, and it appears our response will be flacid. In addition to “Supplies” these folks need the help of the Air Force, as in dropping a few megatons on Moscow, and stopping by Tehran with a few more.
That might wake up the Soviets(and that is what they are) and Rag Heads….but we won’t…Bush will continue to fiddle, while Georgia Burns.

Sorry Fred, I had to re-register. I forgot my user name and password…and no - this is not a senior moment!!!! :p
I am stunned with what has been going on in Georgia and appalled, but not shocked by Russia’s activities. They never meant to go through with democracy. It was all a sham.
Time for this sleeping giant to wake-up. I bet Reagan is rolling over in his grave.
Also, off topic (sorry), but I wanted to thank you for the supportive comment you left at my blog today regarding my post on you know who.
It is really heartwarming for me to know that there are men like you out there that can SEE through female wiles and are not impressed with all the surplus!
Bless you and yours Fred!
Your friend,
Layla
I am kinda worried about this situation. Bush may want to end his term with a bang, who knows. Get into another war and then leave it to the next prez.. We don’t have enough troops to fight in another one, so looks like the draft is the only way to go.
