WASHINGTON (AP) — More than 100 anti-torture activists are marching from the U.S. Capitol building to the White House.
Protesters gathered at the Capitol on Thursday. They say they are protesting detention policies in the United States and what they call the government’s refusal to prosecute torture.
The marchers are wearing orange jumpsuits and black hoods over their heads to represent Guantanamo Bay detainees. Some have signs on their backs bearing the names of inmates who have been cleared for release but remain in custody.
The activists say they support a criminal inquiry into torture under the Bush administration. They say President Obama has been reluctant to begin such an investigation.

Other than FOX News, which was a HUGE supporter of the TEA events, not very much! Even the POTUS claimed to have no knowledge of the TEA Party movement on April 15th.

Can we believe so much as one word coming from the Obama administration? I think not! I honestly don’t think Obama knows the truth, not in any way. He knows what his aids want him to know, he says what his aids tell him to say and he reads what they have on the teleprompter for him, but Obama knew about the TEA Party movement.
Make NO mistake about it, Obama KNOWS, the MSM KNOWS, this nation KNOWS, and they are a lot more afraid of 1 MILLION American Patriots than they would like for us to believe. The NEXT series of TEA Parties needs to be a bit more forceful, not violent, but a lot more forceful, a lot more target specific, and we need to turn out in numbers that can’t be ignored!

I am sick and tired of watching these spoiled, ungrateful children rally up for the protest of the week when they don’t know the first thing about it.
These protesters obviously know nothing of torture or what it means, and the media have dumbed the word down so that it barely means anything anymore.
Making people listen to loud music is NOT torture. Grabbing someone’s face or putting them in a box with a caterpillar is NOT torture. Cutting off an American’s head with a dull knife IS.
Where are these dingbats to protest over in the middle east when the terrorists capture our guys and use actual serious torture on them, not the phony torture our media and the left accuse of of having done.
And this is not just a rant against Democrats - too many Republicans are jumping on this bandwagon now too. The fact is, these techniques are directly responsible for saving American lives and thwarting terrorist actions. had they not obtained the information they did, and the terrorists succeeded in pulling off another attack, would these dingbats have supported Bush at the time saying that at least he did not torture anyone? Or would these same spoiled brats have been calling for his impeachment?

Many of the activities described as torture by the MsM puzzled me. I remembered that, as kids, we participated in such activity amongst ourselves and referred to it as “PLAYING!” I, myself, recall being locked up in a pitch black coal bin, on more than one occasion, when I was “captured” by the opposing forces as we kids played “Army”. But, that was back when the American Army was allowed to actually win wars.
On another topic, if I may… did you know that today is National Loyalty Day in America? Have you seen or heard anything on or in the media about it? Maybe that’s because it is not “cool” to be loyal to one’s own country any more.
One observation and I’ll get off… I think NOT being loyal to America is why these so-called acts of torture are even being questioned. A “loyal” American would do whatever it took, including torturing, I mean REALLY torturing, the enemy to protect the lives of his fellow Americans.

I’m glad that there are people that can meet up with Jerkbama to discuss things. If I were ever put in that position I’d prob just sit there and glare at him. I have that, mommy - Go to Hell look that I cant hide.
It is amazing how 100 protesters can get so much coverage yet a real grass roots protest that had no funding from groups like moveon that drew somewhere between 500,000 and 1 million people isn’t considered newsworthy. And people still try to claim the media isn’t biased.
The Boston Globe didn’t even have one mention in it about the tea parties.
