Top Democrat denounces health care protests

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Senate’s most powerful Democrat on Thursday scolded health care protesters dogging his party’s lawmakers at local meetings, arguing that some critics on the political right have run out of ideas - and ditched their civic manners. Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada accused the protesters of trying to “sabotage” the democratic process.

A small group of lawmakers blocked out the fevered rhetoric and vowed to keep pursuing an elusive bipartisan deal on a broad remaking of the health care system. With encouragement from President Barack Obama and business leaders, the group reported progress on financing an overhaul. But as polls show Obama’s approach losing favor with voters - particularly independents - Democrats are talking more openly about the possibility of moving legislation without Republican support.

Energized conservative activists said they’ll keep up their fight against Obama’s effort. The president wants to use the government’s clout to subsidize coverage for millions now uninsured, regulate insurance companies more closely and attempt to slow the rise of medical costs. The protesters’ shouts and chants, captured on amateur video, went viral on the Internet.

The Republican Party says it’s not behind the protests, but Reid scoffed at the notion that the protesters reflect grass-roots sentiment. He held up a piece of artificial turf during a session with reporters.

I am going to say this as nicely as I possibly can. Harry Reid is a MORON. Apologies to ALL morons for lumping you in with Reid, but if I said what I really believe concerning Harry Reid, and what I really feel concerning Harry Reid, I might offend the delicate sensitivities of some readers.

Harry Reid has attached himself to a sinking ship. Obama, and nearly everything he wants to do to this nation and the American people is suddenly being challenged. Some challenges are even coming from those in his own party. Contrary to popular belief, not ALL Dems are total dumb-asses, some are really rather bright. They just can’t, or won’t give up on the name Democrat. And let’s face the honest truth, why would they want to be called a Republican? Not a dimes worth of difference in the parties or members anyway.

Apparently, Harry Reid thinks people are being PAID to express their dissatisfaction with the Obamanure administration. He scoffs at the notion that the protesters reflect grass-roots sentiment. I guess Reid can just scoff to his evil little hearts content. I know that here in MY part of Texas we have some serious grass roots movement stuff taking place, and to the best of MY knowledge, no one is being paid to attend or participate in ANY protest or gathering.

I hate to call Sen. Reid an Obama loving LIAR, but I just can’t help thinking that Reid is nothing more than an Obama loving LIAR! Oh, and did I mention MORON too

“These are nothing more than destructive efforts to interrupt a debate that we should have, and are having,” Reid said. “They are doing this because they don’t have any better ideas. They have no interest in letting the negotiators, even though few in number, negotiate. It’s really simple: they’re taking their cues from talk show hosts, Internet rumor-mongerers … and insurance rackets.”

Internet rumor-mongers maybe? I hate to be a spelling and grammar NAZI but it’s mongers Sen. Reid. I would have thought a distinguished Senator such as yourself would have known that. Guess not.

Sen. Reid, you delusional old fool, pay attention; I don’t let ANYONE do my thinking for me. I don’t have ANY opinion based on some TV talking head, or even the guys like Glenn Beck. It just so happens that Beck speaks pretty much from the same page I do, he just has a bit bigger audience.

Internet rumor-mongers? Oh please. Bloggers are a lot more accurate and objective than 99% of the MSM. We use sources, we use citation, we use tons of proof, we use pictures and video, and Sen. Reid, the videos do not lie! I know that pictures can be Photoshopped, but some of the videos of the out of control Dems protesting at Columbia University when Tom Tancredo spoke, or how about the totally out of control destruction when the Minutemen were speaking? Not out of control Minutemen, but out of control libber protesters tearing up the stage and podium? So far, all I have seen from Conservatives has been rather polite and civil discourse. So far.

Internet rumor-mongers? We don’t have to manufacture rumors Sen. Reid. We use hard, cold facts to make our case. We don’t try to fool the American people into worshipping a false prophet or messiah. That effort falls under the auspices of the DNC if I am not mistaken.

“All the polls show there is serious concern, if not outright opposition, to the president’s health care plan,” said Antonia Ferrier, spokeswoman for House Republican Leader John Boehner of Ohio. “Democrats are ginning up this cynical shell game.”

ALL Conservative Americans are against this health care debacle from Obama and Company. Most Republicans stand in direct opposition, if they are truly Republicans and not RINOs. Even some right thinking Democrats have voiced concern over what they too believe is simply another move by the Obama administration to take this nation into full blown socialism.

Boehner had said last week the Democrats would be in for a hot summer on health care. Republicans say the political pressure is also on them, from unions and liberal activists targeting conservative lawmakers.

Libbers really are a mentally challenged lot. Conservative lawmakers are in office because they were elected from Conservative districts, by Conservative voters.

I see all of these Facebook groups calling for an impeachment of this Lib or that the Lib or the other Lib, and I have to laugh. I can’t do anything to remove Nancy Pelosi from office. She is elected by a bunch of Gay Bay moonbats. She represents the complexion of her constituency quite well, a libber moonbat representing more libber moonbats.

Here is the truth; Pelosi is a disgusting and despicable old crone. She is a sorry representative of this nation. She is ignorant beyond belief and she is a flaming libber, as well as a total hypocrite. I personally despise her very being. But the only people that can replace her are the people that SHE represents! I can raise all manners of hell over Pelosi, Reid and the rest, but the fact is, my opinion doesn’t mean SPIT to them, I am NOT one of their constituents, I can’t vote them out of office and they know it!

Some of the activists who’ve shown up at town-hall meetings held recently by Sen. Arlen Specter, D-Pa., and other lawmakers are affiliated with loosely connected right-leaning groups, including Conservatives for Patients’ Rights and Americans for Prosperity, according to officials at those groups.

BINGO! Grassroots organizations. People aren’t being paid to do this. There is no grand scheme with some rich Republican pulling the strings. The American people are pissed off and have begun to wake up and realize exactly what this nation is up against and that is all it is.

Some of the activists say they came together during the “Tea Party” anti-big-government protests that happened earlier this year, and they’ve formed small groups and stayed in touch over e-mail, Facebook and in other ways.

Those are some of the most accurate words in the entire original story. Email, Facebook, Twitter, telephone, those are the tools we have and the tools we use. I am paying for MY Internet service, blog hosting, URL, telephone service and U.S. snail mail when needed. I just can’t seem to find a wealthy Republican that’s willing to tote the note on my blogging and TEA Party activities.

Most said they learned about the event from various community groups that oppose the health care overhaul. All rejected the notion that they had been organized on a large scale, or had connections to the insurance industry.

I am one of those community organizers. I am a community activist, a patriot, a voter, an American with a tremendous attitude, but an American that still loves this nation and wants desperately to return it to the prominence and prosperity that we enjoyed not too long ago.

I’m not connected to ANY insurance industry person, in any way, and I defy anyone from the left to prove that I am. I don’t receive one penny for the work that I do on this blog, for my activity in the community or from the TEA Party organization. My only source of income is the retirement that I worked for and earned, and the occasional donation from some of my generous readers.

And here is one more little tidbit for you Sen. Reid, even if I do receive a donation from a reader, I don’t let that donation influence my blog content, my thinking, my community activities or my personal actions in any way.

Can YOU say that Sir? Can the members of ACORN say that? With a straight face?
