WASHINGTON - If President Barack Obama wants to take the measure of his opposition, he only has to glance across Lafayette Park from the White House. There, behind 10 massive Corinthian columns, is the headquarters of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce — a leading critic of the administration’s health care and banking overhaul plans.
A fortress for the business community, the chamber has emerged as a multitasking, multimillion-dollar defender of the private sector against presidential initiatives. As lawmakers spend time at home during their August vacation hearing from constituents, the chamber is adding its own heat to the season.
There’s a $2 million campaign against Obama’s proposals that would make the government a competitor in the health insurance market. It’s trying to make the case for insurers, which oppose a government-run insurance alternative but want to work with the White House to mandate coverage for all.
The chamber also has become a pointed critic of a White House plan to create a consumer finance protection agency and is assembling finance sector trade groups to push for a delay in legislation.
With 3 million members, the chamber is working with local and regional affiliates on letter-writing campaigns to lawmakers and plans to track their public appearances to make sure they hear the chamber’s point of view.
The summer effort is just a start.

The Chamber of Commerce gets it. Most doctors get it. Businessmen get it. Conservative officials get it. Conservative Americans get it. A rapidly growing number of Democratic Americans even get it. Why the hell doesn’t Obama and Company get it? The outrage is REAL!
Ahhh, OK, now I get it! 
Before you can “get it” you need to first have a clue.
This explains most of the Dem’s problems, since the majority of the leftists are clueless individuals.

Well…I guess we will all be in company when they come and get us. Hell…I even reported myself. I told him I hated everything he stood for and even though he sets in the Office of the President…I do not recognize him as being my President. I told him it’s not him or his race I am against. I said he was a well groomed man and looked great with his big ears…although I had to admit ” DUMBO the Elephant ” was one of my favorite cartoon charactors…and maybe he too could fly if he jumped off a tall building.

Fred, making sense and doing things for others are two things the Obama’s are completely unfamiliar with. They are used to stomping their feet and screaming racist remarks to get their way. Soon we will see a tantrum and a chorus of foul language.
It really doesn’t matter what we want. It is all about BO. It will always be about BO.

Obama and crowd get it but controlling health care is one of their major steps to total control of the population. They’re taking over the banks, corporations, and now health care.
Fifty years of raising and grooming an “entitlement” class of people has almost ensured them sufficient numbers of voters to pull it off. I think the 2010 elections are going to tell us what way this nation is going to go. One of the problems in 2010 is that ACORN will be well funded, organized, and have full White House support to fraudulently sway elections.
Race relations - it’s no longer about “racism” it’s about the “minorities” yelling that it’s “their turn”. Sadly, something that happened long before any of us were event thought about still haunts us. I’ve actually been told, despite the fact that I can point to not only the fact that most of my father’s family wasn’t in this country, and my mother’s family was up north, that simply because I’m white, I “owe reparations”. I am proud to say that I managed to not say anything until I was in my car, and burst out laughing. Found out a week later the guy who said that was arrested for slashing the tires on two of his professors’ cars, though “of course, he was only arrested because he was black and smarter than his PHD professors”.
As for Obamacare? This is just another version of the Clintonista’s plan. Billary couldn’t get it passed, so now they’re using Obama to do it. Why? Well, naturally, anyone who doesn’t follow him is a nasty, violent, backward, unintelligent racist. Didn’t you know that?
