White House steps up attacks on Fox News

WASHINGTON - White House advisers have stepped up their attacks on Fox News, claiming the cable television network is a Republican mouthpiece whose programming “is geared toward making money.”

Full Story Here:
White House steps up attacks on Fox News

Fox News “is geared toward making money.”? Seriously? Oh the shame. How could a network news organization DARE to make money? How so very Capitalistic of them…

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the sole purpose and intent of having a business supposed to be directed to MAKING MONEY? I thought that was what business was all about. Unless you are a dedicated non-profit organization, the entire reason for going into business is to make money, to profit, to grow and to make MORE money.

Several critics questioned the wisdom of the move while one of President Barack Obama’s top adviser pledged Sunday that administration officials would still appear on the top-rated cable news network.

Doesn’t the President, and his staff, have more pressing matters than worrying about Fox News, their profits and who will appear where?

Personally, I don’t think ANY Obama administration official would appear on Beck or Hannity. I am doubtful that they would grant an interview to the White House correspondent, Major Garrett. I am also certain that Obama and his administration are not STUPID. They are evil, but not stupid. They know that Fox News and it’s on air personalities have done their homework, and will embarrass the Obama administration for ALL the world to see.

Last week, White House communications director Anita Dunn said Fox News operates “almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party.”

Last week Glenn Beck exposed Anita Dunn as a solid admirer of Chairman Mao. The Radical Truth About Anita Dunn. Surely Dunn isn’t just striking out blindly? In retaliation? Surely the communication director of the Obama White House, who, by the way, has been repeatedly asked by Glenn Beck to come on, or CALL his program and point out exactly where he is wrong in the opinions he espouses, surely Dunn isn’t just PMSing? Is she?

On Sunday, Rahm Emanuel, President Barack Obama’s chief of staff, said, “It is not a news organization so much as it has a perspective.”

Ahh… Now we hear from Rhambo, Chief of Staff, defender of Obama and all around IDIOT. Mr. Emanuel doesn’t seem to realize that Fox News IS a NEWS service. But they also have political opinion programing that is geared towards a CONSERVATIVE audience. And again, WHY hasn’t the Obama Bunch gone on the Glenn Beck program? Why haven’t they addressed this perceived perspective up close and personally?

If someone is spouting off about ME, my opinions and my blog, and I feel I have been wrongly represented by their statements, I am going to address that person, or persons, and we’re going to get it worked out, one way or another.

In response to the criticism, Fox News executive Michael Clemente on Sunday accused the White House of continuing to “declare war on a news organization” rather than focusing on issues such as jobs and health care.

“The door remains open and we welcome a discussion about the facts behind the issues,” said Clemente, senior vice president of news, in a written statement.

Fox News has again left the door wide open for the minions of the Obama administration to come on their programs and air their side of the argument.

As previously stated, the White House is afraid of Fox News. Other major networks have given the Obama administration a free pass. They have done their very best to elevate Obama into the realm of sainthood or godliness. Ummm, Ummm, Ummm.

If Fox News is SO wrong, Obama’s minions need to go on Fox News and PROVE them wrong. Argue their case and make Beck, Hannity, Garrett and O’Reilly look like the Republican shills they are accusing them of being. Make the entire Fox News organization look like it’s NOT about NEWS, make them look look foolish. IF they can.

Oh, and one other thing, if Fox making money is so bad? What about Obama’s Spread the Wealth spiel? Fox, money, profits, wealth, spreading?

The only thing the Obama administration is spreading, is BULL SHIT!

Perhaps that is why Fox is in the black, and the others, are, shall we say struggling?

The WH has to attack Fox. It is the only News agency that is hitting the WH hard with facts. Obama can’t control Fox like they control CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc… If they can’t control something, they must destroy it.

But the last President who declared war on the media was Richard Nixon. We all know how his war on the Washington Post ended.

Has hell frozen over? Even that old bat Helen Thomas has told, or “advised” the White House to knock it off with Fox News…

I never thought I’d ever say it, but I’m agreeing with her.

When you can’t control what an aspect or arm of a given media organization says, then you CAN control access that organization has to the source they seek. Hence what’s occurring in the White House.

How odd, is it not, that ANY disagreement of any kind with the current administration results in access being completely axed, PLUS the demonization of whatever media or agency or group or individual is NOT in keeping with Our Hero.

And the bulk of Americans are still more concerned with American Idol and Cash Cab and Oprah and Jennifer Aniston.

    Dolts.

So Rhambo thinks Fox is more perspective than news??? I guess the “perspective”, being based on the “Constitution vs what the Commies in the WH want to do” seems to be THE NEWS!!! That along with Obooboo constantly trying to paint the Tea Parties as being domestic terrorists and the Constitution as being “outdated”.
Tis better for a News Organization to have “perspective” than to have to propagandize everything I would say!

Great post TF. Shows once again how much the BHO admin is just in way over their heads.

Great point Katie. We do know how that worked out for tricky Dick… Now we need to watch BHO, the commie, tricky pr#ck end up in federal court this time!!!

Hear that? That’s me clapping my ass off.

They’ll still be watching when they see the flash across their screen that reads “this program has been prempted for a message from our holiness”. Watch it………or else!!!

This bunch grows more petulant by the day. They are unaccustomed to adversaries and criticism instead of blind obedience, which is the order of the day in the community organizing world.

I think Chris Wallace (Fox News Sunday) hit the nail on the head when he said they are the biggest bunch of crybabies in his 30 years in Washington. That comment got dittos from several other knowledgeable folks, not all of whom are Fox News people, and not all of whom are Republicans/conservatives.

The Obama administration should just shut up and take their medicine, but of course they will not do that and that’s fine for the longer they continue to attack FOX News the better it is for FOX. I don’t know what trick they will try next in this ongoing war, but you can be assured something is in the works. I think Rhambo is the general in charge over there and he is very capable of digging deep into his Chicago “bag of tricks”. It should be interesting to say the least.

Fred, I will try and stay on topic today.

They complain about FOX news and then say this?????
White House boasts: We ‘control’ news media

WTF?? they have (as you already knew) lost it. I am not sure if you like WND but I get stuff from them all the time some I agree with some I don’t and some is just ads. Keep your ammo dry and your rifles handy it’s gonna be a bumpy ride Y’all!

  10. comment number 10 by: TexasFred

WND is not the most reliable news source I have ever seen, they engage in too mush AMEN reporting for me and I have seen them launch into sheer histrionics, and have seen them make retractions and apologies…

Maybe it was said, maybe not.. Sounds credible given the ASSHOLES that currently occupy the White House…

Yes LIBBERS, I DID call em ASSHOLES… Deal with it…

The administration has a hard time dealing with anybody who
doesn’t blindly believe what there saying and doing. Knowing
that their agendas can’t stand up to inspection or truthful
    assessment.

Of all the issues that need a full white house focus, these idiots choose FOX News. When will our ACTING President starts doing his job instead of looking for speeches and stage opportunities?

I Blogged on this issue too. I can’t believe the level of demonstrated stupidity in this. Taking on the Biggest News organization can only further damage your administration.

  13. comment number 13 by: BobF

FOX is the most watched news network in America. They have more viewers at 3am than CNN has at 10pm. If FOX is the news network of Conservatives and Republicans and the White House declares war on FOX, then they’ve effectively declared war on a good number of American Citizens. What Obama’s doing is giving the middle finger to millions of the people whose president he’s suppose to be.

  14. comment number 14 by: Right Truth

Fox News “is geared toward making money.? Compared to the other networks like CNN, MSNBC, etcl who can’t get enough viewers to pay the bills.

  15. comment number 15 by: Robert

I heard the best analogy of the “War on Fox” yet today…I can’t remember who said it, but I think it was Dana Perino. She said “The Obama administration needs an enemy to blame, 9+ months into Obama’s administration they understand GWB’s fault is running out, they need to blame someone and FOX is the loudest one in the room” I agree with that 100%

Obama has begun the death spiral, truth is about to bury his ass. They don’t come on Fox because they can’t argue facts, all they have (Like all libturds) is emotion, and once you take that away, then all you are left with is truth and facts…Obama loses on both of those accounts.

You know what I find funny is:
Msnbc is not ideological? ABC is an unbiased news organization? Bullshit, they blasted GWB with more ideological rhetoric than Glenn Beck or Bill O’Riley combined…But I guess as long as you agree with their policy’s it’s “unbiased”

The Obama administration is not to worried about the news division of FOX News but rather the extremist commentors such as Beck and Hannedy. Before some of you get your feathers ruffled about my calling Beck and others extremist let me explain. The doe-eyed middle in American politics has never started a movement on its own. It has always been the forces on the fringes who encourage change—extremists if you like. The early American partiots were radicals, extremist out of step with those in the vast middle, but those in the middle were over time dragged along by the onrushing events. What we have now is extremist on the left in charge of the White House agenda and extremist on the right led those such as Beck and their can be no middle ground and in the end the vast middle will be swept along by one of these groups. As a great conservative once said, “extremism in defense of liberty is no vice and moderation in persuit of justice is no virtue”. Barry Goldwater.

  17. comment number 17 by: TexasFred

No panties in a wad here, Beck IS extremist, and THAT is the reason I like him… Hannity? I just don’t trust, at all…

I am an extremist, nearly all of my friends, family and readers are extremists, and personally, I wear that name proudly..

Just like when the left, and FAUX conservatives call me a RACIST… Yep, I am… Make no secret of it… I am an American PATRIOT too, and I will fight to the death if that’s what it takes, but seriously, I don’t know if America is WORTH saving, far too many Americans are in the tank and FILLED to the brim with the Kool Aid!

I know America NEEDS to be saved but unless we have something like 50% or more of the American people and at least 75% of ALL police and military backing the move, I fear a revolution that will be massacred before it gets started…

  18. comment number 18 by: LD Jackson

I keep waiting for the Obama administration to come up with some reason or another to launch or at least threaten lawsuits against FOX News. From looking at past history, that is a favorite tactic of theirs when they come up against someone who disagrees with them and is willing to raise their voice.

  19. comment number 19 by: HoosierArmyMom

I’m in agreement with you on Hannity. He whines too much and uses the same BS over and over. It’s like he’s as petty as the leftistas he tries to discredit. Beck just keeps digging up more and more stuff and he has fun with it too. Like today, he had a guy in a Mao costume “sitting by the phone”!!! LOL!!! That is the kind of thing that points out the absurdity of these people. I like his style.

    And on BZ’s comment:

And the bulk of Americans are still more concerned with American Idol and Cash Cab and Oprah and Jennifer Aniston.
    Dolts.
The bulk of Americans: useful, IGNORANT tools.

A brilliant observation that Texas Fred adds to:
I don’t know if America is WORTH saving, far too many Americans are in the tank and FILLED to the brim with the Kool Aid!

I agree wholeheartedly with you both! I think I may well look into relocating to a remote locale where the government doesn’t care what you do.

I find it laughable that the administration blames Fox’s desire to make money as the reason they are biased against the administration. They feel that this must play well to their base, it shows us the mindset of the anti-capitalist left.
With all of the problems that this country is facing right now it seems that the administration should have more important things to do than to attack the one news outlet that they haven’t been able to control.

  21. comment number 21 by: Always On Watch

Clearly, the BHO administration wants all media to be arms of the state.

  22. comment number 22 by: maggiesnotebook

Right on Fred, and speaking of Obama’s stash - how about the cool million from the Pulitzer. Need we wonder if he will spread it around?

I hope this drives the FOX numbers higher, and reports are already rolling in that it is doing just that.

  23. comment number 23 by: jd3

Someone needs to remind these people that they are supposed to be public servants. They work at the discretion (mainly paying back old favors) of an ELECTED OFFICIAL. There is no public office in this country beyond criticism including the President. Having “White House Officials” criticize anyone for saying and printing things critical of our government is leaning heavily on our rights. Not surprising though. Anyone in this country has a right to criticize and have certain expectations from elected officials. We do not have a “King” who cannot be criticized, we have a duly elected President who can. I would add that in my opinion if you didn’t bother to vote then you can shut up!

  24. comment number 24 by: Conservamom

Just mho, but the Bugzy Abamanation administration and the people that support him are acting like those guys from Chicago.. you know, the guys that like to strong arm people that get in their way… the same guys that like to make custom made cement diving shoes for people they cannot shut up any other way.

    Just sayin’ :)
