John McCain funded by Soros since 2001

February 12th, 2008 . by TexasFred

WND - As Sen. John McCain assumes the GOP front-runner mantle, his long-standing, but little-noticed association with left-wing donors such as George Soros and Teresa Heinz Kerry is receiving new attention among his Republican critics.

In 2001, McCain founded the Alexandria, Va.-based Reform Institute as a vehicle to receive funding from George Soros’ Open Society Institute and Teresa Heinz Kerry’s Tides Foundation and several other prominent non-profit organizations.

McCain used the institute to promote his political agenda and provide compensation to key campaign operatives between elections.

In 2006, the Arizona senator was forced to sever his formal ties with the Reform Institute after a controversial $200,000 contribution from Cablevision came to light. McCain solicited the donation for the Reform Institute using his membership on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. In a letter to the Federal Communications Commission, he supported Cablevision’s push to introduce the more profitable al la carte pricing, rather than packages of TV programming.

John McCain funded by Soros since 2001

This won’t come as too much of a surprise to any REAL Conservatives, and I am guessing the McCainiacs will be pissing all over themselves as their angry little gnome gets blasted one more time, but I just have to ask, how much more proof do American voters need before they believe the truth of the matter??

John McCain is NOT a conservative, not in any way, shape, form or fashion and I don’t care how many Dem Lites (read: Republicans) come out saying he is.

I have said in many posts, and I still say again, McCain is much closer to the Democrats and liberals than he EVER was to REAL Republicans, and I don’t mean the Dem Lite version of the Republican party as it is today, but the REAL, America 1st, Conservative Republicans that are rapidly dying off as the Republican party goes Dem Lite.

John McCain will NEVER have my support nor vote, I won’t sit out this election, that statement, and it’s logic, seems to escape a lot of bloggers that are supporting McCain, we’re NOT going to sit it out, we’re going to support, and vote for, someone other than McCain, it’s that simple.

I refuse to give my vote or my support to the lesser of 2 evils ever again, we may end up with a real Dem/Libber in the White House, but if we do, you need to ask yourself, is it better to have a REAL, self acknowledged Dem/Libber in the Oval Office, a known quaility, or is it better to have a Dem Lite, never WAS a REAL Republican or conservative that has lied his way into office??

I think the known Libber would be better than the unknown one that’s wearing sheep’s clothing, at least with a REAL Dem/Libber, we’d know what to expect, and you know, the more I think about it, the more I believe that we already know what to expect out of McCain.

A Texas Hat Tip to my friend and neighbor, Isn’t it Rich for finding this story, I read it on his blog and reposted it here. Thank you Rich.

The man who was willing to switch parties in 2004 to become John Kerry’s running mate is now going to be the Republican Presidential Nominee…Disgusting.

But then again, are we really shocked? Those who have done nothing more than watch McCain react in his standard tempestuous, arrogant, small-minded and self-centered ways are not.

Thanks for covering what the Main Stream Media does not seem to want to expose.
