Exclusive: Gibbs eyed for DNC chair

Democratic insiders are taking the temperature of some top party donors about the possibility of naming White House press secretary Robert Gibbs as chairman of the Democratic National Committee heading into President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign in 2012, senior officials tell POLITICO.

Under the scenario being tested, Tim Kaine, the current DNC chairman and former governor of Virginia, would be named to a top administration post, perhaps in the Cabinet, the officials said.

I LOVE Politico! That said;

Robert Gibbs as head of the DNC? Oh hell yeah! Right now. Put him in there and let Caspar Milquetoast have a shot at it. I think it’s the best move the DNC could ever make. For the GOP.

Regarding the GOP; until such time that the Big Tent is taken down and the resident clown in charge, Michael Steele, is removed, the DNC won’t be any worse for wear if they do make a moron like Gibbs their chairman. Tit for tat so to speak.

Gibbs joined Obama in April 2004, as communications director for his U.S. Senate race, and later was his Senate communications director. Gibbs was communications director of Obama’s presidential campaign before becoming “senior strategist for communications and message? during the general election.

I wonder? Is Gibbs the one that taught Hussein Obama to read a teleprompter so well?

If Gibbs is the *message* guy, the message is messed up. Hope and Change is a fallacy. Obama is a failure and the nation is in a bigger mess than at any time I can remember over the last 50 or so years. Blame Bush can only go SO far…

I can see why the Democrats would want Gibbs as DNC chairman though; he can do even more to bring damage to America if Conservatives don’t get totally fired up and moving like never before.

The Obama regime MUST GO! If they aren’t removed from office, America is DEAD!

But if the GOP and RNC wants CONSERVATIVES, and TEA Party people to get fired up, then they, the GOP/RNC need to run candidates that are worth getting fired up over.

The logic for a Chairman Gibbs, according to one official: It would “put the Obama imprimatur on the DNC, once and for all,? and install a “great partisan fighter? as the face of the national party for the reelection campaign. “It’s a brilliant idea if he ends up deciding he wants to do it,? said one official who has been consulted.

‘It’s a brilliant idea…’ That’s their story and they’re sticking to it! :P

Another rationale: David Plouffe, campaign manager of Obama for America, is expected to come into the White House as a senior adviser or deputy chief of staff with operational responsibilities, depending on how the West Wing is restructured in coming weeks.

The Dems say they aren’t afraid, they believe that TEA Party excitement, Conservative involvement and overall disgust from the right isn’t real. They believe they have a lock on the House, Senate and Oval Office, but it sure looks like they are trying to rally the BIG GUNS of the Democratic party all of a sudden.

Wait, what? BIG GUNS and D.C. Democrats? That was funny, I don’t care who you are. :P

So, along with senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, Obama would have plenty of trusted voices in the building, and Gibbs could tighten the inner circle’s grid on the larger Democratic apparatus.

The notion is being referred to internally as “the Ed Gillespie model,? after the longtime operative who served as Republican National Committee chairman during President George W. Bush’s reelection campaign in 2004, then later went into the White House in 2007 to succeed Dan Bartlett as counselor.

Make NO mistake, the DNC and the Democratic machine are dangerous. Hussein Obama is the biggest danger this nation faces, and the charlatans of the DNC will do whatever it takes to keep this disaster in office.
