Israel rejects truce call, attacks Gaza

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) - Israel rejected international pressure for a two-day cease-fire with Hamas and demolished smuggling tunnels that are the lifeline of Gaza’s Islamic rulers in a fifth straight day of airstrikes Wednesday.

The diplomatic efforts to forge a truce were set in motion by the scale of destruction in Gaza since Israel unleashed an offensive Saturday against Hamas militants firing barrages of rockets that are striking closer to the Israeli heartland.

The *scale* of destruction? I guess we’re going to hear all the wussies start crying about *disproportionate force* now.

Maybe Hamas should have considered that *disproportionate response* before they attacked a nation with a REAL army and a REAL air force. What do they expect Israel to do? Launch a few rockets back and call it *even*?? That’s NOT how you win a fight folks, and it appears that this time, maybe Israel has set out to actually WIN this fight!

Gaza officials say the five days of airstrikes have killed 390, including 200 uniformed members of Hamas security forces, and have wounded about 1,600. The U.N. says at least 60 Palestinian civilians are among the dead. Four Israelis have been killed by militant rocket fire, including three civilians.

There’s nothing GOOD about anyone in Israel getting killed by these Palestinian scum, but I have to say, Israel IS extracting that *pound of flesh*, and then some!! I am reminded of a line from the movie The Untouchables, “They pull a knife, you pull a gun. They send one of yours to the hospital, you send 10 of theirs to the morgue. That’s the Chicago way!�?

I wonder if Israel has been watching that one and took notice of how to make it happen??

I am often accused of being a racist redneck by certain cretins that befriend any and all that would destroy the USA, and now, apparently those that would destroy Israel as well. I have said this before and I WILL say it again: ISLAM and Iran are the problem.

If Iran is wiped out, or so badly that their very survival is in question, then, and ONLY then will the Islamic hordes back off and leave Israel and the USA alone. Iran has been a thorn in our side since Mr. Peanut let them run roughshod over us during HIS debacle!

Islam does not accept negotiations, arbitration, compromise, diplomacy, discussion or mediation. Islam knows only one thing, DEATH TO ALL THAT OPPOSE ISLAM!

You can’t get too much more clear on your definition and mission statement than that!

Our president elect seems to think that he can negotiate with the radicals of Islam. He can’t. Islam understands one thing and one thing only, STRENGTH! Islam, and it’s minions, will only stop when they are no more! We didn’t start this fight, Americans didn’t want this fight. It was brought to us by *The Religion of Peace*, the most dangerous, insane and hypocritical force on the face of this planet.

The people of the USA must support Israel. We must encourage Israel to pursue this effort to an acceptable end! We need to be aware too, there are agents of Hamas and al-Qaida right here in America! We are next on their list of things to do and if Israel isn’t supported in their efforts to wipe out this pestilence called Hamas, we will soon see similar violence right here in the heartland of America.

When the homicide bombers strike our malls, shops, restaurants, theaters and so forth, then the struggle that other regions of the world are enduring will come home to roost for those that say *it can’t happen here*…

4 female bombers strike in Iraq, killing 57

BAGHDAD (AP) - Female suicide bombers struck a Shiite pilgrimage in Baghdad and a Kurdish protest rally in northern Iraq on Monday, killing at least 57 people and wounding nearly 300, police said.

Three women detonated their explosive vests in the middle of pilgrims in Baghdad, moments after a roadside bomb attack, killing at least 32 people and wounding 102, Iraqi officials said.

In the oil-rich northern city of Kirkuk, 25 people were killed and 185 wounded when a blast tore through a crowd of Kurds protesting a draft provincial elections law, officials said.

Police spokesman Brig. Gen. Burhan Tayeb Taha said the bomber was a woman, saying he had seen the remains. The U.S. military confirmed a suicide bombing but said it had no indication the attacker was a woman.

Make NO mistake about it, OUR troops WON our part of the war in Iraq.

Whether you agree with the reasons for going to Iraq or not, one fact can’t be denied, we WON the war, we defeated Saddam’s Republican Guard, we deposed Saddam, we got rid of his maniacal sons and then captured Saddam himself.

We led the charge against the Islamic insurgency that sought to destroy the newly elected government of Iraq. We financed and trained the up and coming Iraqi army and police. We fought with them, we encouraged them and we set the example for them.

Now we are in a position that the DoD is considering withdrawing troops from Iraq as combat operations in what I have called a *civil war* have all but ceased. Many argued that Iraq wasn’t a *civil war*, and in the original inception, it wasn’t, but after Saddam was deposed, Iraq rapidly spiraled into *civil war*.

Today’s events only stress the fact that *civil war*, one conducted by an insurgent faction, with guerrilla terrorist tactics as it’s pattern, still exists. And sadly, this also points out the fact the we, and the Iraqis, are incapable of stopping someone that is dedicated to *mission completion* and has no fear of death in carrying out that mission.

Iraq has many challenges ahead, and I honestly have no solutions or suggestions to make regarding these homicide bombers as they spread their *Religion of Peace* message for all the world to see. Women bombers, in traditional Muslim dress, can hide a lot of explosives, and we can’t just *search* them because of Islamic law.

How the hell do you fight that?
