2.. This works out to $20,928 profit every minute!

3. Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th) than Target sells all year.

4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target + Sears + Costco + K-Mart combined.

5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people and is the largest private Employer, and most speak English.

6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the World.

7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger & Safeway combined, and keep in mind they did this in only 15 years.

8. During this same period, 31 supermarket chains sought bankruptcy.

9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world.

10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had 5 years ago.

11. This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur at a Wal-Mart store. (Earth’s population is approximately
6.5 Billion.)

12. 90% of all Americans live within 15 miles of a Wal-Mart.

You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the ground work for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart to fix the economy.

To all 535 voting members of the Legislature: It’s now official, you are all MORONS:

A. The U.S. Post Service was established in 1775. You have had 235 years to get it right and it is broke.

B. Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 75 years to get it right and it is broke.

C. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 72 years to get it right and it is broke.

D. War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 46 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to “the poor” and they only want more.

E. Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 45 years to get it right and they are broke.

F. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 40 years to get it right and it is broke.

G. The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 33 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.

Teen charged in NJ Walmart racial comment case

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - A 16-year-old boy was responsible for an intercom announcement ordering black people to leave from a Wal-Mart store in southern New Jersey, angering customers and prompting company leaders to apologize, police said Saturday.

The boy, whose name is not being released because he is a juvenile, was arrested Friday on charges of harassment and bias intimidation in the incident at Walmart’s Washington Township store. Authorities said he was released to the custody of his parents; they did not know whether he had a lawyer.

“This was an extremely disturbing event on many levels,” Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean Dalton said at a news conference. “Any statements like these that can cause harm or grave concern must be addressed as quickly we possibly can.”

A male voice came over the Walmart public-address system Sunday evening and calmly announced: “Attention, Walmart customers: All black people, leave the store now.”

Authorities would not say whether the announcement was planned or made impulsively. Police said they were also investigating a teenage boy who accompanied the suspect to the store, but had not charged the other boy.

As expected, a prank. Not done by an adult. Not done by an EVIL Wal-Mart employee. Done by a stupid kid. Imagine that. Some kid that gained access to the phone code thus enabling him to make a prank page.

Although a manager quickly apologized for the remark over the intercom, many customers expressed their anger to store management.

Officials for Bentonville, Ark.-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc., said the announcement was “unacceptable.” Spokesman David Tovar said the company planned to release a statement later Saturday, after the news conference.

The company said it has already updated the store’s intercom system to prevent a similar incident from happening again.

As stated a couple of days ago: “Was this a tacky, crass, stupid, shocking and very immature thing for someone to do? Sure it was, but if it wasn’t a Wal-Mart employee that did it, why are so many people outraged at the Wal-Mart store for this happening?”, it appears that Wal-Mart is doing everything that can be done to rectify the situation. They identified the person making the call, they turned the matter over to police, they updated their system.

How much further backwards do the faux offended want Wal-Mart to bend?

There have been several past instances of black customers claiming they were treated unfairly at Walmart stores, and the company faced lawsuits alleging that women were passed over in favor of men for pay raises and promotions.

Somehow, I just have a problem believing that part about Black customers being treated unfairly. Wal-Mart doesn’t care what color you are. You can be purple with yellow polka-dots, all Wal-Mart sees is GREEN! The color of money! That’s it, and for anyone to say otherwise makes me tend to wonder if perhaps the offended persons weren’t looking for a reason to be offended.

As far as the claims of sexism at Wal-Mart, that’s an internal problem and in no way plays into this story. The AP, and most everyone else that hates Wal-Mart, like to bring up any dirt that can be found any time an issue comes up. Wal-Mart’s internal management problems are their business.

I guess some folks just hate success.

In February 2009, the retailer paid $17.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging racial discrimination in its hiring of truck drivers.

Black people must leave, NJ Walmart announcer says

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - An announcement at a Walmart store in New Jersey ordering black people to leave brought chagrin and apologies Wednesday from leaders of the company, which has built a fragile trust among minority communities.

A male voice came over the public-address system Sunday evening at a store in Washington Township in southern New Jersey and calmly announced: “Attention Walmart customers: All black people leave the store now.”

Shoppers in the store at the time said a manager quickly got on the public address system and apologized for the remark. And while it wasn’t clear whether a rogue patron or an employee was responsible for the comment, many customers expressed their anger to store management.

“I want to know why such statements are being made, because it flies in the face of what we teach our children about tolerance for all,” said Sheila Ellington, of Monroe. She and her friend, Patricia Covington, were in the store at the time and have said they now plan to boycott the retailer.

The first thing I want to say is this, I have never worked for Walmart. I have no known friends or relatives that work for Walmart and I have no special concern for Walmart. I shop Walmart and that’s as far as my connection to Walmart goes.

Was this a tacky, crass, stupid, shocking and very immature thing for someone to do? Sure it was, but if it wasn’t a Walmart employee that did it, why are so many people outraged at the Walmart store for this happening?

Have you ever been to a Walmart? There are in-store phones scattered about in various places, it would be impossible for Walmart to fully secure each and every phone. That’s why they have certain key codes that have to be used before an in-store announcement can be made.

Does that point to a Walmart employee as being the one that made this prank call? Sure, you have to look at that possibility. But, could it have been a former employee, perhaps a disgruntled former employee that just wanted to stir up hate and discontent? Of course, that is a strong possibility ass well.

Personally, I believe that before Je$$ie Jack$on and Al $harpton show up to lead a protest and boycott of Walmart, they need to allow Walmart to investigate the matter and see how Walmart handles this ugly situation.

If it proves to be an impossibility to ascertain exactly who it was making the call, then folks just need to go on about their business and continue to shop at Walmart, or not, and write this off to a very sick prank and a juvenile idiot making it happen!

But we all know that won’t be what happens. Law suits are likely being examined, race baiters and hustlers like Jack$on and $harpton are probably already planning their appearance, the ACLU and NAACP will most likely get involved and the only thing that will appease them will be some sort of reparations.

It seems that reparations, in one form or another, is their cure for almost anything. Whether they have actually been hurt personally, or know of a hurt party, even if that party was hurt 150 or more years ago.

Reparations make it all better.
