Could an Obama loss spark race riots?

A political scientist at a Christian college in New York City warns that if Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama loses the election on November 4, race riots could break out in large U.S. cities.

A recent Associated Press-Yahoo News poll suggested Senator Obama’s race could cost him up to six percentage points on election night. David Corbin, a politics professor at The King’s College, contends there is potential for public riots the night of or after the election, if Obama’s lead in the polls does not translate into victory.

“I don’t think that’s something that we’ve looked at very closely, and I think that this could be a powder keg here as we get towards that day, given that Senator Obama is an African-American and given that there might be some backlash if he actually loses,” Corbin explains.

Corbin notes that seemingly small stories involving O.J. Simpson and Rodney King have brought into play terrible riots in major cities across the U.S. “I think a lot of people are looking to an Obama presidency to affirm the notion that somehow Americans aren’t racist and, if for some reason Senator Obama loses, then it’s just, ‘Oh well, it’s said and done. We must be a racist nation,’” Corbin adds.

People who fuel that claim of racism, according to Corbin, do damage to one of Senator Obama’s main themes — moving beyond a red-and-blue, or black-and-white America.

OK, just for the sake of argument let’s look at it this way, suppose Obama cleans McCain’s clock and wins in a landslide? And took the Electoral College by storm, just suppose.

Have you heard ANY rumors of race riots in case that scenario were to come to pass?

I know I haven’t, but then again, I am not a person that lives a mindset that dictates that because someone like Rodney King decided to ignore police orders, and got his ass beat all to hell and back in the process, well, I need to go burn down MY neighborhood, and the businesses that cater to ME and MY people, that just isn’t a thought process that I have ever adhered to or heard mentioned in my 55 years on this earth, and I have been around some serious racists, I have heard the mantra, from WHITE and BLACK racists.

There may very well be race issues, possibly riots, the law enforcement community, as well as National Guard troops, are prepared, as is a HUGE portion of the more sane residents of the USA, we’ll stand our ground, and drop ANY moonbat anarchists that want to lay waste to our homes and/or businesses. That is not a threat, it’s a stone cold fact.

Regardless of who wins in November, McCain or Obama, there is NO reason for violence, but I can tell you this, there is already word on the street, and the police are very aware of it too, IF Obama wins there are certain elements of the black community, the *ghetto boys* or the wannabe *gangsters* that are already making it known that when their brother Obama gets elected they are taking no more sh*t off of any cracker-assed white f*cking police.

That is the truth folks, as true as it has EVER been told, it comes from confidential sources, and I can assure you, those threats are not being taken lightly. If I were you, I’d be prepared to stand MY ground and defend MY property, no matter how this thing turns out. Either way, the criminal element of the black community is going to have ALL the excuse they need to go on a rampage, all they need is a spark to set off the powder keg.

And their victims will be of ALL colors and races.

Could an Obama loss spark race riots?

    Nope.

Perhaps Corbin is just another Obama disciple playing the race card?

FWIW, Corbin is listed at King’s College as an Assistant Professor of History at King’s College with a PhD in Political Science. Apparently his version of history must be filled with race riots due to elections in the United States.

A guy I work with was a boy during the Rodney King riots and lived in Bellflower CA at the time. He said his father and other men, black and white, in the neighborhood armed themselves and patrolled the area. When the gangs ventured out of the city to the suburbs to cause trouble, they were met by armed citizens protecting their neighborhoods. Seeing the armed citizens, the gangbangers headed back to the “hood” without any trouble. That folks is the reason for the 2nd Amendment.

If Obama looses and riots break out, there will be armed citizens ready to protect life and property. If Obama wins, you better buy guns and plenty of ammo. If he can’t ban the guns, he’ll go after the ammo.

There will be race riots. I am prepared. I worked the Aug 65 LA riots and the 91 Long Beach riots.
This time I am on my own and with my own ammunition, But I have been there and done it before.

MrChuck, I have to disagree. If there will be riots, and I put that as a mighty big if, it would be limited to areas where there are organized liberal African-American extremists. That would limit it to a handful of areas.

However I don’t pay much heed to calls of alarm from “experts” anymore. They tend to engage in Chicken Little “sky is falling” warnings that are more often than not overstated, over-the-top and overly wrong.

    Two examples:

Remember Y2K? Remember all those “experts” warning of all sorts of catastrophes if we didn’t spend billions to ward off the impending doom? And what happened? Nothing.

Heck, I don’t even have to go that far back. Let’s go back to just last week. The “experts” told us that if the bailout didn’t pass on the first day the markets would crash sending us into a depression. Did it happen? Nope. So the SECOND day they said if it didn’t pass THEN the markets would crash sending us into a depression. Did it happen? Again, no. Then on the third day they said the same and none of the doomsday things they predicted came true. By this time very few were paying them any heed.

I just thought of a third example that is ongoing: global warming. I could present an extremely lengthy list of things that the “experts” said would happen if America didn’t spend trillions fixing the man-made global warming. They predicted massive floods, dozens of cat 5 hurricanes, polar bears going extinct, etc.

And none of it has happened nor is there any evidence of any of it happening.

    So race riots? Nah…

The riots that happened in L.A. occurred due the fact they were close to the source after the acquittal of the cops and most of it was black-on-black and black-on-minority rioting.

Frankly, I seriously doubt if massive race riots would occur if Obama loses. It’s a scare tactic that’s old and tiresome.

Oh, and if the global warming experts were right, my house would be on beachfront property instead of being 20 miles inland in north Florida. So much for that.

Carl, I hope you’re right and my sources are wrong, but just the same, I am locked and loaded…

Some *thugs* have been letting hints out for a while, and I always figure it’s better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it…

    1. Who cares if blacks riot? Burn down Compton, for example? No fucking loss.
    2. Ever hear how many Koreans were prosecuted by the LADA for defending their stores from rooftops after shooting looters? Take a guess.
    3. I am well armed.
    4. I live far away from most any large city.
    5. See #1 above.

BZ, if a Cali DA wouldn’t prosecute, as messed up as Cali IS on gun laws and self defense and all, how do you think it will go down in Texas?? We have the Castle Doctrine and the SOB doesn’t even have to be IN your house, or have messed up IN your house if the Joe Horn ruling is any indicator…

Knowing our local PD and Sheriffs there will be a lot of folks being deputized on the spot, and I can guarantee this, there’s more GOOD GUYS in Texas than there are *gang bangers*…

Martial Law could be a real bitch for the boys from Da Hood…

The riots (if they do happen) will be limited to a very small part of big cities. It will be caused by people who look for any excuse to cause a problem and for the most part the authorities already know who they are and where they are. It wont amount to much. A few less thugs dead or jailed seems like a good reason to not vote for Obama.

Seems to me I keep finding more and more good reasons to not vote for Obama.

I’ve got my lucky hockey stick under my side of the bed, hubby has his bat. We’re good. Plus my dog. And that is NO jest. I have NO doubt whatsoever she’d rip someone a new hole if they screwed with me.

Fred, I wrote my reasons today for not voting Obama…hope you stop by and add yours.

We’re screwed if ‘The Messiah’ wins or loses. They’ll jump up and down like the porch monkeys they are and burn things if he wins and if he loses its the same deal. These people are sooooo predictable.

I’m going out today to test fire/break in my latest purchase, a CZ75B. And I’ll probably take a .357 and the 870 Remington along just for fun. Nuff said.

Obama is NOT goin to lose. The fix is in. I am convinced of it.
    America is going SOCIALIST.

  14. comment number 14 by: GM Roper

If there are riots, and I’m not convinced that there will be, it will be because of the race hustlers like Jackson, Sharpton and others telling blacks that they are victims.

As Fred said, there’s a lot more good guys in Texas than there are gang bangers.

  15. comment number 15 by: Sam Pierce

I’m with GM Roper. I believe there could be, but if there are it is due to the race profiteers… you know the same guys who privately see (I am assuming) an Obamoron victory as bad for business.

  16. comment number 16 by: ChicagoRay

Locked and loaded here too Fred and truthfully a good riot or two in some of the cities including Chicago can thin the herd from within as they’ve always taken to destroying their own shit first. We have the whole west side of Chicago still has remnants of the last race riots here 40 years ago. They do it again good luck getting any sympathy or the stuff rebuilt at this point, the well’s run dry.
Nawlin’s speaks volumes to that, and that was a natural disaster.

  17. comment number 17 by: Patrick Sperry

It would seem plausible that there will be riots whether Obama wins or loses. After a few major set backs I am gun poor, but I still do have the ten auto, and yes, I have plenty of ammo.

Some time back I started writing a book about the balkanization of America. I don’t see any need for it now. It is happening before my very eyes.
