Israel kills top Hamas figure, escalating campaign

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) - Israel assassinated a Hamas strongman Thursday in its first assault on the top leadership of Gaza’s rulers, escalating a crushing aerial offensive even as it declared it was ready to launch a ground invasion. The airstrike targeted the four-story apartment building that was home to 52-year-old Nizar Rayan, ranked among Hamas’ top five decision-makers in Gaza. It also killed 12 other people including two of Rayan’s four wives and four of his 12 children, Palestinian health officials said. The Muslim faith allows men to have up to four wives.

It appears that Israel knows how to get the job done! Kill em ALL. If you can’t kill em ALL, kill as many as you possibly can. His wives, his children, ALL of them! That way there are fewer of his descendants coming back later seeking retribution!

The world, the bleeding heart libbers and a few self proclaimed conservatives will look at this as sheer redneck philosophy, murderous tactics, and will condemn the Israelis for destroying their enemies in such a thorough and decisive manner. In all actuality, it’s not at all an impractical manner of making war! War is not for the cowardly, the weak, or the feint of heart. War is a nasty business best conducted by those that know how to do so and not by those that don’t have the stomach to prosecute it to an acceptable, and victorious end! In war, people DIE! If they are the family of our enemies, so be it! THAT is the nature of WAR!

While intensifying its 6-day-old military offensive against Hamas in Gaza, Israel also appeared to be sounding out a possible diplomatic exit by demanding international monitors as a key term of any future truce.

If I may make a suggestion? Israel needs to demand that the U.N. send in their forces to monitor any future truce in the area, but the area monitored needs to be rendered as barren and utterly desolate as is humanly possible. Also, should the U.N. not act properly, should they be found to be supporting the Palestinian pestilence, bomb the hell out of the U.N. personnel as well.

Israel launched the offensive Saturday to crush militants who have been terrorizing southern Israel with rocket fire from Gaza.

The campaign began after more than a week of intense Palestinian rocket fire that followed the expiration of a six-month truce. Israeli warplanes have carried out some 500 sorties against Hamas targets, and helicopters have flown hundreds more combat missions, a senior Israeli military officer said Wednesday.

Israel took a lot more attacks than they should have. This response by Israel is long overdue in MY opinion.

Israel must continue to pound the Palestinians and Hamas until there are no rockets left to fire. Once that feat has been accomplished, Israel needs to turn it’s attention to Iran, the founder of the feast for the Hamas animals. Israel needs to punish Iran for ever supplying Hamas with the tools they needed to attack Israel.

If the leadership of this nation had ANY balls at all they would join with Israel in attacking and destroying Iran’s capability to wage war in any fashion. Iran is also the responsible party for most of the weapons used by al-Qaida in Iraq, the weapons that were used to kill over 4,200 U.S. troops over the last few years!

We all know that won’t happen. George Bush hasn’t had the balls to actually take on ANY of this nations real enemies and address ANY of our true threats. It is also MY opinion that the incoming POTUS won’t either! Obama wants to talk to Hamas, al-Qaida and the Taliban. Obama wants to reason and negotiate with them. I submit to you, right now, Israel had best get as much done as they possibly can over the next 19 days, they are quite likely going to lose all official support from the USA. Obama is as big a coward, and as afraid of Iran as is Bush and was Carter!

The New Year is going to be an interesting time. With Obama in the Oval Office, the world, and the American people, are going to have the opportunity to see what a true appeaser looks like. The predictions of a Russian PhD be damned, Russian Professor Predicts Fall of U.S. in 2010, the USA is in a position of being splintered from within, and populated by 2 sides, those that are willing to fight for the American way as it once was, and those that will roll over like cowards and submit to whatever farce and false promise comes along!
