Gibbs: Deficit won’t hurt plan to cut red ink

WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House says new projections of spiraling budget deficits won’t stop President Barack Obama from achieving his goals or keeping his promise to cut the country’s red ink in half within four years.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Friday that the administration is a bit more optimistic about the nation’s economic growth over the long term than congressional analysts. The congressional projections released Friday say Obama’s budget would generate deficits averaging almost $1 trillion a year over the next decade.

The Congressional Budget Office figures predict Obama’s budget will produce $9.3 trillion worth of red ink from 2010 through 2019. That’s $2.3 trillion worse than the White House predicted in its budget.

I love the Obama administration. No, really, I do!! But let me tell you WHY I love the Obama administration.

They make blogging too EASY. When the president makes a gaffe regarding the physically challenged Special Olympians of this nation, makes it on a TV program seen around the world, and you can sum up your criticism with a graphic, well, I just love the Obama administration.

That said, regarding Robert Gibbs recent blathering concerning the new projections of spiraling budget deficits and them not having ANY effect on Obama’s plans to cut the red ink in half, well, I call:

I thought I was going to have a tough time finding things to blog about myself once we learned O was in. I’ve had so much that I can’t even figure out where to start nowadays.

Don’t forget - there’s also the latest racist comments coming from Michelle also - she told a bunch of elementary school kids she was teased as a kid because she “talked like a white girl.”

http://paulyspoliticalrants.blogspot.com has the scoop on that one.

He (obama) promised to surround himself with ‘experienced leaders’.
Any idea when that’s gonna happen??? I mean, so far, he’s the one with the most experience; and we all know how much that is.

The question is, my dear Gawfer, in what are the leaders experienced?

So far, most of them seem to be experienced in not paying their taxes…

And the hits just keep on coming. No one believes this bullshit from Obama is going to save or repair ANYTHING!!

The left values ‘equality’ over ‘Liberty’ and personal freedom. Obama is destroying our liberty and personal freedom by destroying our ability to live free.

Equality says a 20 year old can do the same job as a 40 year old and deserves the same pay in spite of the 40 year old’s 20 years of experience. Union Labor is the shining example of this principle. Finish your 3, 4, or 5 year apprentice, and you will be garanteed to make the same as that 30 year veteran.
    Equality.
take away the right of Americans to be more, and we will become a nation of mediocrity.
    Equality. everyone is the same.
Man I dislike what we are becoming.

I believe it was Syndrome, in The Incredibles, who said “Once everyone is super, then no one will be.”

Obama’s version would be “Once everyone is broke, then we’ll all be.”

Syndrome is the more intelligent of the two.

    And I agree with Kate.

I absolutely MUST HAVE that bullshit button! I could just paste it on replies to the lefty emails I receive from time to time. Usually, I just delete them, but using the bullshit button might actually get me removed from their list. Would be worth a try anyway.

And, by the way, Fred, the above was the perfect use for the bullshit button. Of course, it could be used for pretty much anything we’re hearing out of D.C. these days.

What more can be said about Robert Gibbs and the Oblahblah crew!!! Love the BS button too!

Gibbs reminds me of Baghdad BOB with the complete disconnect from reality. Maybe we can call him DC BOB.

    “Red ink by half.”

Is anyone — ANYONE buying this?

Oh, sorry, correct, the mouth-breathing Leftists & Socialists would believe anything The Anointed One would say.

Red ink by half, AFTER we’ve DOUBLED our deficit in the past 8 years? And Obama’s bailouts have spent BILLIONS and BILLIONS of dollars — and there will be MORE?

I can only submit that Mr Obama must be on hashish behind closed White House doors. I only pray he doesn’t do it in front of his kids.

Obviously it’s clear…Washington doesn’t care about the deficit.

They’re on a mission and the agenda reads “print and dish out as much money as these poor citizens will allow (seems they will allow what ever we print) and then they will be taxed to the hilt and thus, keep giving us more money to dish out amongst us d.c. rich elite and our corporate bosses.

I guess what goes around, comes around but, only to those who make it to Washington, D.C.
Hey!, can I go to D.C?
Can we the American people ask for a bail out?
Not just the added $13.00 to our biweekly paycheck….$26 extra per month. That will get most of us to work and back for a week.

I have written numerous letters and emails to my prestigious elected officials but, I guess with all that’s going on in d.c., they can’t seem to find the time to write back. I’m sure they are over whelmed with emails and letters. And, not knowing what to do with all of that.
