Republicans, hoping to turn the tables on Democrats who are open to prosecuting Bush-era lawyers for justifying “enhanced” interrogation techniques, are seeking to reveal the names of those lawmakers who were briefed on the tactics as much as seven years ago.
FOX News has learned there were more than 30 meetings and briefings with members of Congress on the subject since 2002.
The first such briefing dealt with the interrogation of Abu Zubaydah, the Al Qaeda operations chief who ran the training camps in Afghanistan where the Sept. 11 hijackers were trained. Sources said California Rep. Nancy Pelosi, now the speaker of the House, attended the meeting with then-Rep. Porter Goss, R-Fla. (who later became CIA director), and she did not raise any objections.
The briefings were given to the chairmen and ranking members of the intelligence committees in the House and Senate until 2006. That could cover Sen. John Rockefeller, W.Va., and Rep. Jane Harman, Calif., both Democrats, as well as Sen. Pat Roberts, Kan., Sen. Lindsey Graham, S.C., Sen. Richard Shelby, Ala., and Rep. Pete Hoekstra, Mich., all Republicans.

I just love it when a plan of action backfires and blows up in the faces of the Democrats. This enhanced interrogation thing, ie: torture, is doing exactly that. House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, San Fran Nan, as she is so affectionately called, claims she was NOT in the loop. Pelosi says she wasn’t told that any enhanced interrogation tactics were being used, and as I heard from an earlier source, she, Pelosi, didn’t understand the implications of the briefings that she was privvy to.
Pelosi said Thursday that at the briefing she attended, she was not told that waterboarding “or any of these other enhanced interrogation methods” were being used.
Nancy Pelosi is a LIAR! Nancy Pelosi is a Democratic Party HACK and a total hypocrite. The hypocrisy of the Democrats is about to come back to bite them once again! Pelosi, and others in attendance of these security briefings, will now engage in pure semantics in an attempt to cover their own level of involvement, their own level of implied approval to use any tactics necessary to protect this nation and save American lives.
In every day vernacular, this is called duck and cover, in other words, Pelosi and any others in this report, will say and/or do anything they feel necessary to cover their own asses now that Obama has opened the can of worms regarding so-called instances of enemies of this nation being subjected to what the bleeding hearts consider to be torture.
I don’t know if any of you watch Shepard Smith on FOX News, his show comes on at 2:00PM CDT, anyway, yesterday, 04-22, Smith went OFF, I am not exaggerating, he went livid regarding the use of torture, adamantly stating, “The U.S. DOES NOT TORTURE!, MY nation will do NO SUCH THING!!” as he ranted and raved like a lunatic against such practices.
Shepard Smith is a bleeding heart NINNY and his Liberal-like screed got him an email from me informing him that I consider him to be a bleeding heart IDIOT and letting him know, in no uncertain terms, that his views had just lost him and his program at least 1 American viewing household.
These are strange times. Our enemies are now perceived by our president as not being all that bad, just a bit misunderstood, simply needing us to reach out and tenderly begged to be our friends. Those that defend this nation, those that place their lives on the line, and in many cases, make the ultimate sacrifice and GIVE their lives to keep America safe are now somehow looked at as being the *bad guys*, Veterans a Focus of FBI Extremist Probe, the Intel services that are tasked with gaining all information available regarding the actions and possible actions of our enemies are now considered to be heinous purveyors of torture!
Torture conjures up visions of the most, brutal, sadistic and hideous violations of human dignity imaginable. So be it. If these acts of can protect America, the American people, if so much as ONE American life can be saved by the protectors of this nation engaging in what some consider to be torture, I, not being one of the bleeding heart libbers that are rapidly bringing about the demise of this great nation, I have absolutely NO qualms about it being used on those who have SWORN to kill us ALL!
We are in a fight for our very lives and existence! What part of that do the bleeding heart libbers miss?

Every one of those terrorists that went through that enhanced interrogation is alive today and in good health. They’ve suffered no ill effects from the interrogation and required no medical treatment during the interrogation.
Every American GI captured by Islamic Terrorists has been brutally murdered to the point that DNA was required to identify them. They couldn’t identify these men through normal forensic methods, they were so badly mutilated.
Our President and his Democrat Congress is more concerned with the killers of our GI’s with the utmost respect and dignity than they are for our own people. They could care less how brutally our GI’s were murdered while in captivity. All they care about is that Abdul got water splashed in his face and it made him sad.

Most Officers go through it as a part of training along with NCO’s that may be subjected to such measures, and even a few enlisted personnel that are in sensitive positions.
Making prisoners stand naked? That’s what happens to any American that goes to jail. It’s not torture.
Making them stay awake? The lights never go out in most jails. Again, it’s not torture.

If torture will save the life of one American civilian, or one member of our US armed forces, then we NEED to do it. Congress is demanding that out military go in Harm’s Way already at a disadvantage when the enemy KNOWS we are not prepared to be as brutal as the enemy is.
Again, I have no problem with the use of torture nor the use of tactical Atomic Weapons on the battlefield. What I DO object to is the needless endangerment of the lives of American civilians in this country and the lives of our military service personnel.

A good friend of mine is the business manager, for lack of the right term, of a small real estate firm that handles medical leases and sales. He is the guy that helps the Doctors with finance, planning, and his partner (sales guy) with strategic direction.
He has been going over this a lot, right now most of the doctors out there are really good at taking care of you but fairly bad with money. So he spends a lot of time talking to doctors.
Right now in the US they do not make any money from Medicare patients, imagine when everyone is one medicare.
In *MY* mind, I see farming in Cuba as a great analogy, the farmers where told they had to farm, but did not make any money, they really did not do a great job at it. That will be the state of our medical system in 3 years.
So everyone who voted for this man, thinking that free medical care would be here for all to enjoy, will realize that the medical services at the county hospitals of today (Parkland in Dallas for example) will be pipe dream in 4 years. Yup, we are going to go from a system where the poorest have better care than 70% (educated guess) of the rest of the world, to where the rich travel to India for decent care in less than 5 years. The quicker f’er upper indeed.
