Senator Ted Kennedy dies at 77

BOSTON - Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, the liberal lion of the Senate and haunted bearer of the Camelot torch after two of his brothers fell to assassins’ bullets, has died at his home in Hyannis Port after battling a brain tumor. He was 77.

In nearly 50 years in the Senate, Kennedy served alongside 10 presidents — his brother John Fitzgerald Kennedy among them — compiling an impressive list of legislative achievements on health care, civil rights, education, immigration and more.

His only run for the White House ended in defeat in 1980. More than a quarter-century later, he handed then-Sen. Barack Obama an endorsement at a critical point in the campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination, explicitly likening the young contender to President Kennedy.

To the American public, Kennedy — known to friends and foes alike simply as Ted — was best known as the last surviving son of America’s most glamorous political family, father figure and, memorably, eulogist of an Irish-American clan plagued again and again by tragedy.

Senator Ted Kennedy dies at 77

The President, the Dems, libbers and RINOs can ALL sing his praises, that is the hypocrisy we ALL expected, but I am not going to honor a murdering son of an Irish bootlegger. I am hoping that Mary Jo Kopechne was waiting for him with a Louisville Slugger!

I have NEVER been a supporter OF Teddy Kennedy, and I won’t prostitute me, or my blog and become one now. I don’t intend to denigrate, nor will I celebrate his passing.

I can’t, in good conscience, and won’t, pile any honors on a man that was far less than honorable in my opinion!

EDIT: After seeing a few comments on other blogs, on Facebook, and in my comments section here, I have to say this, if you feel so inclined to blast off on Kennedy, by ALL means, have at it. I won’t stop you, nor will I edit your words. There are many Americans that truly detest Edward Kennedy, I am one of them, and I have said all I can say and remain even remotely civil.

Good on ya, mate for sticking to your guns. My post on this last night was very short and to the point without being rude also. I am not rejoicing over his death - but, I also am not mourning either. God is his judge now and I’m satisfied with that.

As much as I hate to admit it, I just can’t pray for him. I feel NOTHING about his passing. All I could think of was the young lady who family suffered for decades because of that ….. man.

Let’s see if daddy’s money will get him off the hook now since he has to face the “Master Prosecutor”. I’m sure that bozobama will order ALL flags flown at half mast, and the lame stream media, along with his brother scumbag political hacks, will shout their praises for this crook for the next month. I got one thing to say…MY flag won’t ever be flown half mast for ANY stinkin ass politician, and that goes double for that arabic POS that’s in there now.

Good for you Fred, I admire your reserve in showing respect for the dead.
As for me, Thank goodness that man is finally dead. May he rest in peace. At least he, personally, can do no more evil in this world. Of course we will have to endure a few more instances of evil in his name, those lefty bastards running this country are already capitalizing on his death by evoking sympathy for him to support not only the sham of a health care reform bill but also the attempt to circumvent the proper election of government officials by giving the governor of Massachusetts to choose his replacement.
Yea, sympathy for his family and all, but that man was evil and we are well rid of him.

Was Kennedy the “Lion of the Senate” or “the Pussy of Chappaquiddick?” Your call to make!

  6. comment number 6 by: Kate

@ Silver Fox I’m going with the second one!

Hmmm, the lion of the Senate. That brings to mind a warning about a lion.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober , be vigilant ; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about , seeking whom he may devour

It seems that verse fit Teddy perfectly. He definitely wasn’t sober and he walked about devouring our Constitution and individual rights. This guy tried to form an alliance with the Soviet Union to thwart the efforts of President Reagan during the Cold War.

I feel no sympathy at all for him. Good riddance and begone!

He allowed Mary Jo to die, if he didn’t outright kill her.
He passed, and or supported laws that kept several women that I have known from properly and effectively defending themselves from rape, beatings, and two of them died…

He consorted with the enemies of our nation, and that is treason.

He supported J. Kerry, another treasonous lefty.

I hope he lands in the worst pit in hell that God can find.

If it were a matter of mere political disagreement, we would join the calls to strike a conciliatory tone and mourn the death of Sen. Edward Kennedy. But we do a disservice to him and the country to call him anything but what he was. Ted Kennedy was not a good man and we mourn the damage (or worse) he did both to individuals and to America.

I didn’t praise this scum-bag on my blog either. Bottom line is I ain’t gonna miss him! I’ve seldom hated anyone as much I did this Lefty creep.

I wrote the following to a dear friend in the blogsphere at 3:00 this morning. It sums up why, as a former Democrat, I resent everything the Kennedys stand for:

Ted Kennedy has died and already the “hero worship” has started and the push to make the American Public believe that “his dream” of Universal Health Care must be made a reality. I see the propagandizing starting already.
The Kennedys are responsible for destroying generations of black and poor families with the welfare entitlement trap, which I saw played out when I was an adult student and watched many young women struggle against a system that only encouraged having babies out of wedlock and remaining a slave to ADC and food stamps. One gal used a guaranteed student loan to buy a car so she could take needed classes in Muncie (they weren’t offered here). She used money that would have to be paid back to do so and bought a “beater” that looked icky but ran good. He case worker informed her it was “income” and that her food stamps for her and her 3 children would be cut from $450.00 a month to $50.00 a month. This was my first lesson on how the Democrat Party didn’t look out for the poor when they gave “handouts”, but actually made them poor slaves to a system with no way out. No Justice for the poor in our free society, only entrapment. More money if you have more kids, but by God don’t marry the father! How many black and poor white men never learned the pride of having and participating in raising a family because these jerks were buying votes from the disadvantaged in the form of monthly welfare checks. Now they want to do the same with the Mexicans, thus the push for amnesty. What a crock. I just want to puke when the news promotes Kennedy as someone who wanted justice for all Americans, because it was all about corruption and power with that family, and nothing else.

Obama and his evil cadre will cash in on his passing big time! Just you watch. I hate watching the death of our country and it’s freedoms, courtesy of the Far Left lunatics.

The only thing I hate about him dying is that we ( The People ) can vote his sorry ass out of office. I doubt that Mary Jo will be waiting for him to get there….because surely they both didn’t go to the same place…if you know what I mean.
Now maybe the Kennedy name will fall to the way side and we will not hear any more of it….well at least not after a couple of more weeks…which I’m sure the MSM will cover it more than any of us can stand.
I guess I’ll watch some old DVD’s and kick back with a cold one.

Here’s to you Teddy…”May you rot in Hell.”

  13. comment number 13 by: Orangelion

extex_cop took the words right out of my mouth. May he not rest at all and may he suffer in hell for eternity for all the pain and misery he has caused Real Americans. He was a coward. And that is the nicest thing I can say about the bastard.

I’m going to be rude. The Midnight Swimmer is dead. No loss. Always was a piece of crap. This Country is no better for him.

  15. comment number 15 by: Katie

I won’t condemn him in death for now he stands before the ultimate judge of us all. I defer any condemnation of the man to Him. God help him, for all of his actions, words and deeds now stand in Judgment. There will be no appeal.

  16. comment number 16 by: cary - Botan Ichihara

I was not a fan of his while he was alive. I marveled at the state of Massachusetts for constantly re-electing him. I am not going to miss him now that he is gone.

I checked, and Mary Jo didn’t have a comment.

Just another Politician that sold his soul to the devil. Honestly, I don’t think I’d be sad if any of the Politicians Passed. They all make me sick. They all say they’ll do so and so FOR our country, just a bunch of lies. Kennedy is just proof that the Politicians get away with murder.

  18. comment number 18 by: Bloviating Zeppelin

Let me cut to the Chase:

In my last post I asked: what will Teddy say to Mary Jo when he sees her? Another commenter said: “who says he’ll see her where HE goes?”

    Good damned point.

Perhaps he’ll be deposited where he least expects.

In any event, he did nothing but trade upon the Kennedy name. Those around him BLED when he couldn’t trade on his name for an upcoming Presidency. BOO — fucking — HOO.

He crashed, he was drunk, he left a girl to die and choke on water. But his name surpassed all that.

I feel nothing at the passing of this asshole.

    Good fucking riddance, dickhead.

Birds of a feather flock together.

Obama to deliver eulogy at Kennedy’s funeral Mass on Saturday.

  20. comment number 20 by: Mr Pink Eyes

Originally I intended to ignore Kennedy’s death on my blog, I detest the senator but I detest him even more as a man so I decided not to post a fake post claiming that I feel bad for him. But when I saw that the Democrats couldn’t even wait one day to start using his death to push healthcare reform I decided that I had to respond.

  21. comment number 21 by: TXSonOfLiberty

I will not speak evil of the dead. However, if Mary Jo had been my sister, he would not have had that long run in the Senate. And either I or one of my brothers would be still serving time. I’m a Christian, but I couldn’t have refrained from that task. Nuff said!

This Country is the worse for all those things he did in the Senate!! And he must have been teaching classes in “Collectivist Evil Practices” because we now have a whole crew following in his footsteps. They all need to be hung for treason on the steps of the Capital Building. May God have mercy on us all!

    KEEP YOUR POWDER DRY!!!

All I’ll say is that I hope this is the last of the ‘Kennedy dynasty’ …

  23. comment number 23 by: Eric

Hail the hero says the left, and undoubtedly sent straight to ‘hell’, for being a zero, by God..

By now he’s found out that Satan is a liberal too… :?

    As always, jmho.

Fred, Ted did worse than that. Here’s one reference link to get you started.

    Ted Kennedy and the KGB

    Here’s my post on it.

    Ted Kennedy, American Traitor

Ted Kennedy went, on his own and by back door channels, to the Soviet Union. At a time when Pr. Ronald Reagan was working to bring about the collapse of the communist regime, Sen. Ted Kennedy was reaching out to the enemy. He was offering to help undermine the President and the United States. He apparently used existing relationships with KGB agents to try to accomplish this.

Ted Kennedy was a traitor. He should have, at a minimum, died in prison serving a life sentence. He should have joined Benedict Arnold and Vidkun Quisling on the list of people whose names are synonymous with abandoning their country and making their personal gain and self aggrandizement more important than their honor.

    ASM826:

On target, no adjustment needed. Great links also. Some years ago, in a place far far away (called Liberty News Forum) I called for the death penalty for the Tedster, and his back door buddy J.F. Kerry, for formal treason. Man, did I catch hell for that! Not from Fred, but from various rodents and hula girls…

One to go on that. Two too go on the Triumvirate of Evil…
