Lately, I have been the recipient of several rather hate-filled emails and messages on Yahoo Messenger. I have to assume that these messages and emails were from Obama supporters, quite likely very liberal Obama supporters.
The messages were telling me to STOP writing the things I write concerning the Obama administration and to STOP calling Obama and many of his associates racists. The messages said that by MY words I was taking the U.S.A. back to a dark time in history, a place that we didn’t need to return to.
I thought the reference to a dark time in history while accusing me of being a racist was a bit of a stretch, but, I was trying to see the humor in the hypocrisy.

So, with that part of the constitution in front of us, let me ask this; WHY is it that I should limit, or stop my anti-Obama commentary on MY blog?

I am an American citizen. I am a natural born U.S. citizen, born to a mother and father that were natural born U.S. citizens. Doesn’t that give ME the right to exercise MY free speech under the authority of the U.S. constitution and my unalienable rights under God? So, just WHAT is it about MY free speech that scares you so? Are you afraid that the TRUTH is going to come out?
Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and by many state constitutions and state and federal laws. Criticism of the government and advocacy of unpopular ideas that people may find distasteful or against public policy, such as racism, are generally permitted. There are exceptions to the general protection of speech, however, including the Miller test for obscenity, child pornography laws, and regulation of commercial speech such as advertising. Other limitations on free speech often balance rights to free speech and other rights, such as property rights for authors and inventors (copyright), interests in “fair” political campaigns (Campaign finance laws), protection from imminent or potential violence against particular persons (restrictions on Hate speech or fighting words), or the use of untruths to harm others (slander). Distinctions are often made between speech and other acts which may have symbolic significance. To be brief, NO, I will NOT stop posting my opinions of Obama and his racist/socialist group of thugs that he tries to pass off as an administration.
I publish MY words and MY opinions on MY blog. That is MY right as an American. I don’t go to other blogs and tell them they must stop posting ANYTHING. Those individuals are exercising their rights on their blogs, and if I have an issue with them, I will address it on MY blog.
For 8 years the loons on the left denigrated George W. Bush in the most vile and perverted manner. They called him less than human. They compared him to a chimp. They compared him to Hitler, and in ALL honesty, I never quite got that one. Bush 43 didn’t try to initiate a Bush Youth Corps or try to brainwash the youth of America with HIS agenda. Can you honestly say that about Obama?
I re-started this blog April 11th, 2007. I was posting for quite some time before that but we lost ALL previous information during an attempted upgrade while still on our previous server.
If ANY of these libbers that are crying for me to STOP posting MY opinions had been long time readers, as opposed to being Johnny come lately defenders of The Obamessiah, they would know, I have, on numerous occasions, blasted off on George W. Bush with BOTH barrels.
I totally disagreed with his BS of taking us to Iraq and I never was bashful about saying so, and by doing so, I alienated many so-called Conservatives in the process.
I blasted John McCain too. I felt, and still do, that if he and Northwoods Barbie were the very best the RNC could come up with, the RNC was in serious trouble. And I was VERY vocal in my disapproval.
And that brings up this point; WHY is it? When Libbers are speaking against the GOP and Conservatives, is it called Righteous Indignation and Progressive Leadership, but when Conservatives speak out against the most liberal POTUS in history we’re being RACIST?
You see, unlike 99% of the Dems and libbers that read here, and sadly, quite a few of the so-called Repubs and Conservatives, I am NOT a hypocrite. I call it like I see it, on MY blog, and that is MY right.
I, as blog owner, am entitled to MY free speech on this blog, just as you are on YOUR blog. I can limit the speech of others on THIS blog. As owner, that IS my right. I don’t allow the moonbat libbers and anonymous posters to turn this blog into a cesspool with their asinine comments and all around HATRED of America. I have seen the result of that brand of free speech when a few very fine blogs allowed themselves to be over-run by the loons of the left and a few other assorted moonbat detractors.

See the description in the header OF this blog; No Holds Barred: News, Opinion and Commentary, and see the description I attach to myself under my picture in the sidebar; I’m a highly opinionated blogger, if you ask for my opinion I’ll let you know exactly what’s on my mind. I don’t play the PC game, so, be very careful what you ask for. And this blog gives me the freedom to espouse MY opinion, asked for or not.
I can’t make it ANY more easily understood. If YOU don’t like what I have to say, don’t read here. I don’t go to your blog and attack you, nor do I send you emails and Yahoo messages calling you names and demanding that you STOP blogging. YOU are as entitled to YOUR opinion, just as I am to mine, even if I don’t like or agree with YOUR opinion. I will keep MY remarks about YOUR opinion on MY blog.
When YOU start paying MY bills, buying MY groceries, paying for my hosting and URL, picture server and the like, when YOU become my keeper, when YOU assume full responsibility for ALL of my actions, at that time YOU may, MAY be allowed some minor input regarding the content of MY blog and my writings.
But I seriously doubt it!

The liberals are losing, and they hate losing as much as, if not more than, they hate the freedoms guaranteed by our country’s laws and ideals.

Loving the ground on which we stand and loving the ideals upon which this country’s government and society were founded, I guess I am a Racist too. They want us to believe that American Patriots = Racist.
Liberals are very thin-skinned, many come from the ivory towers of academica where they have encountered little opposition to their views and when they step out into the real world they are shocked and confused and feel a need to strike out in whatever way they can. This usually takes the form of trying to intimidate or shout down the opposition. Just the way things are Fred.

I’m very new to this blog ( just wish I had known about it sooner ) and knew right from the start it was a ‘No Holds Barred’. Glad you do it that way…I probably would not have stayed if it were any other way.
I too have been attacked in various ways online for my opinions and my stand about the Obama Administration. If you don’t like what is being written…don’t read it…in fact don’t even click on this blog. The problem with most Lefties is the truth hurts…and they can’t stand that. Just like the old saying ” You can dish it out, but you can’t take it.”…so go piss on someone elses parade and leave Fred alone.
I have had my windows on my car broken out because of my right-wing bumper stickers. I guess they think it’s OK to attack Conservatives….but let one of us say or do something against them and it’s a ‘Hate Crime”….we are terrorist…well you know something…George Washington was a terrorist too…as well as all the others that signed ‘The Declaration of Independence’ and wrote our Constitution. I myself would sign one today to free ourselves from the outright corruption in this Administration…but you know something….there’s nothing wrong with the one we have now…if only everyone would follow it. You want to know the real reason your blog is so successful and folks like Glenn Beck and a few others are as well? It’s called CONSISTENCY…We ALL defended Bush on several fronts, but we were as adamant against his policies that we didn’t agree with.

Well said Fred. The right to speak your mind is a fundamental right guaranteed in the Constitution and upheld by the SCOTUS. Speech cannot nor will it ever be stopped. The Left vilified Bush daily, but cannot stand their God Obama criticized.
They will just have to live with it.

Wow, I get almost the same identical posted comments. Is the DNC and the Obama machine paying people to do this - to harass bloggers posting stories about the Obama and the Obama administration.
The latest post even claimed Van Jones was a “good man.” I don’t know what kind of man he was — other than a self avowed communist based on the groups to which he belonged.
One before that said “Planned Parent provides a range of excellent health care services. . . . PP is dedicated to providing health care . . . stop the disgusting nonsense of suggesting that there is an industry promoting abortions.” All the words of the left.
I guess hate mail is a new form of attribution for those of us on the right side of issues, and I am proud to be a Charter member along with TexasFred of the hate mail fan club!

I don’t condone personal attacks on bloggers right or left—I reserve my attacks for those political leaders who have earned them. Bloggers are simply expressing their personal views which they have a constitutional right to do and those that come to visit our blogs are welcome, but must always be civil and never, never attack the host.

I have yet to see a left wing lunatic present any facts to support their claims. It is mostly attacks and name calling like in the case of being called a racist when you disagree with policy and being called “angry mobs” for peacefully protesting said policy. When you bring up Code Pinks actions and destructive demonstrations on Marine Recruitment stations… well, they are just protesting an immoral war. Of course they can’t tell you what constitutes an immoral war. It seems almost 3000 innocent people dying in one day isn’t enough to justify using our troops to defend us.

Fred, one sees this same thing happening time and again at the various universities (one of the hotbeds of the left) when a conservetive speaker is invited to speak. The lefty loons will creat such a commotion (not just noise, but often times violent acts) that the speaker cannot make their speech. Many of the left simply do not believe in the freedom of speech clause when it comes to conservetive speech.
