When (IDIOT) Mayors Attack

Today I ran a story about the 450 Mayors that are members of MAIG, Mayors Against Illegal Guns.
450 Mayors Petition Obama To Adopt Broad Gun Reform.

I found out that we only have 1 Mayor in the entire state of Texas that stood for this thinly veiled libber attempt at gun grabbing. Yes, they say ILLEGAL guns, but that is NOT what they mean. Their true intent is ALL guns, and as such, and being the gun guy I am, I sent an email to the City of Hurst Texas, directed to their Mayor, Richard Ward.

How does it feel to be the ONLY Mayor in the entire state of Texas to sign on to this veiled attempt at a libber gun grab? I sincerely hope your constituents take you to the wood shed in your next election. You are a disgrace!

Guns don’t kill people
People KILL People

I didn’t attack Mr. Ward, I asked a question and I stated an opinion. And this is what I got back;

Texas Fred,
You are as ugly as you are dumb. I suggest you at least take your picture from your web site. If you want to see a handsome dude, go to the City Of Hurst web site.

As to your question, how does it feel to be the only Mayor in Texas to be a member of MAIG. It feels wonderful. At least one mayor has the guts (actually I preferred another word) to stand up for what is right. I am sending you an attachment that I put together. You will likely have to have your wife or child read it to you. It has some big words in it. But… have it read to you with an open mind and you might realize that we are all seeking the same thing. Get the criminals and illegal guns off the streets.

Richard Ward

Personal attack, personal insults and the most CHILDISH email I have ever received just short of hate mail. This was sent to me by the Mayor of Hurst, Texas. A supposed professional, and an elected official. He responded with less skill than a 3 year old would. He insults me even further with his “You will likely have to have your wife or child read it to you. It has some big words in it.”, he insults my physical appearance, he insults my intelligence, and he rants like a child.

So, you would think that Mr. Ward would have been satisfied with only making a fool of himself just once. You would be wrong!

I got so excited about responding to you that I did not see the “How to Contribute. Well, I will next year.

Some folks don’t take a bit of criticism well at ALL. :P

Mayor Ward, I didn’t ask you for a contribution, as tight as times are due to the economy, I would send a donation from you back.

Mayor Ward, you have proven yourself to be an incredibly immature man, especially when one takes your advanced age into consideration. But, you do prove out one thing, there truly is NO fool like an OLD fool.

Mayor Richard Ward

This picture was taken from the City of Hurst website. Sir, I will not sink to your level and attack you for your appearance, nor will I attack your intelligence, or what some perceive to be a lack thereof. I will let YOUR childish words speak for themselves, and oh brother, do they ever speak volumes. :P

I am hoping that this post is re-posted, emailed, Twittered, Facebooked and generally sent all over the world. ALL of my readers, you don’t even have to ask, just use it as you see fit. I want as many people as possible to see what a FOOLISH old man looks like. And I especially want the good people of Hurst to see what a FOOL they have in the office of Mayor.

Surely he’s not from Texas? Someone must have snuck him in from Massatwoshits.

I would expect this from Austin, TX. Everybody knows Austin is a moonbat stronghold. But some nothing little town like Hurst has shown itself to be not up to the standards of the rest of the Republic of Texas! They make Austin look civilized.

Oh Goody, an old fashion western shootout! I love shootouts!

Hmmm, this isn’t fair, Fred. You’ve got guns, the poor mayor doesn’t. Probably no balls either. :)

Hey-You… So, it takes a fight to get you out and about again?? :?

Well, OK, next time you go MIA for months at a time I’ll send you an email calling you all kinds of names… :P

Good to see you again old friend… :)

Typical liberal mindset, start throwing insults and name calling. No attempt at any type of rational debate. I hereby nominate Mayor Richard Ward for Douchebag of the Week, anyone want to second that nomination?

  6. comment number 6 by: Katie

You are expecting a politician on the liberal side to actually debate the topic with you?

  7. comment number 7 by: Hey-You

Since he ain’t got guns and can’t shoot at me, I’ll second that, dudley.

I’d probably second it even if he did have guns.

  8. comment number 8 by: Trencher

    I second that nomination

I guess Ward is tired of being Mayor Of Hurst. Wait til word gets out, Texans are a little sensitive in this area.

Word needs to get out not only about him being the only Texan on the list, but also his VERY unprofessional response to you.

I need to look up friends in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area to send them on over to see what a spineless dimwit this guy is.

  11. comment number 11 by: HoosierArmyMom

By the way, you have my vote to make this guy “Texas Douchebag of the Week”… nominee’s for that one must be hard to find.

Since BobF asked… Yeah, he IS a Texan, born and bred, but, even here in Texas, we occasionally hatch a moonbat, Ward IS that occasional moonbat!

The below info was taken from the City of Hurst, Texas web site and IS public domain!

Mayor Ward sounds like a fish out of water. A small town Texan who favors gun control—that must be quite rare. Wonder how he stands on other issues> Does he have an Obama bumper sticker, or did he think he could just sneak this one by. Maybe just a closet lib.

  14. comment number 14 by: TexasFred

    Silver Fox, I think it’s a REALLY SMALL closet too… :P

  15. comment number 15 by: TexasFred

Dave, this guy isn’t MY Mayor…

I live in Rowlett, Mr. John Harper, one of the most common sense Conservatives in Texas is MY Mayor…

If Dick Ward was MY Mayor, I’d move… :P

I see where Cedric “BIG HEAD” Glover, the mayor of Shreveport signed the petion. I can’t fuss about Texans when yo-yos from La. sign onto this rot too.

  17. comment number 17 by: TexasFred

Yeah John, I saw that too, and looks like the mayor of Benton fell in on this as well…

But for crying out loud, Cedric Glover is a FOOL, and that’s being kind…

Shreveport Citizens Disarmed By Police For 2nd Amendment Bumper Stickers

That son of a bitch is a total moonbat! Glover couldn’t get elected dog catcher anywhere in America other than Shreveport, even the cretins of New Orleans, the ones that elected Nagin wouldn’t have him…

    He is THAT pathetic…

  18. comment number 18 by: HoosierArmyMom

His profile would sound normal if it weren’t for the fact that, with all that “Christian education” and church affiliation, his email to you was soooo much like an atheist moonbat would send.
I would have never thought “Christian Man” from reading that email.

All he had to do was make his point in response to you Fred, in a civilized manner and we would not be having this much fun poking at him. Not only is he a raging moonbat, he’s a hypocrite as a Christian. Christ never spoke to people like that!

Mayors group wants to make it harder for criminals to get guns

Mayor Ward claims to support the 2A and LEGAL gun ownership, and claims NO hidden agenda, he only wants to make it harder for criminals to obtain guns and his membership in MAIG is a good thing, and oh yeah, the NRA is wrong to NOT support this…

I submit to ALL of you, Mayor Ward is a moonbat… You can’t be a supporter of the 2A and gun control at the same time…

And Dick, in case you don’t know, and maybe no one had the BALLS to stand up and tell you, but the bad guys don’t go to the gun shop and buy guns you IDIOT…

To take guns out of the hands of criminals will mean some kind of massive gun grab from libbers and TOOLS like you, and that means WAR… Count on it!

Ya know Fred I’ve been working on moving back to Texas to get away from no-load dip-dunk meat-whistles like Ward. Maybe Hurst is my new location.
Hell I could even run for mayor there.

  21. comment number 21 by: Bloviating Zeppelin

Looks like the Mayor of Hurst just very might be experiencing his FINAL term as Mayor.

You know, Fred, there’s ONE THING I’m discovering about retirees: they have more than the average amount of time to apply to certain persons and situations in terms of making them a PROJECT with a capital P.

I submit: you might want to make a PROJECT out of your fine Mr Ward.

During this process, I suggest you keep on your high road and let HIM make the proceedings “personal.”

  22. comment number 22 by: capitalisa

Those two emails from Ward make his resume a moot point. Except that all the politicians seem to have the same stuff on their bios. They are/have been on so many boards of companies, or churches; Little League, Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts; food pantries/shelters, etc., etc. What does all of that stuff mean? Usually nothing, as their current actions tell me all I need to know about their character. And way too many of them use those types of organizations as nothing more than “resume stuffers.”

I had stepped out of the salon to get some fresh air hoping the smell of gun smoke would clear, but upon re-entering through the swinging doors I can’t even see the bar now much less the girls on the stage. Damn another day in Dodge!

Okay… Ad Hominem attacks are the mark of the immature, the unprepared, the emotional, and the illogical. Much along the lines of a Tom Mauser that wears his grief on his sleeve, while getting rich via his sons death… Yes, he is indeed a “Texan.” he’s the one that makes the rule as the saying goes.

Now… Fred and I go a long way back. I think that everyone is well aware of that. Now, here is how I got his attention way back in 99 or 2K whatever it was. I chastised Fred for getting into a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent. A weasel that ran the place…

We have been good friends ever since. Nuff said!

Now, Mister Mayor, I have a background in HR / leadership, and even a medical background. Care to actually express your beliefs? Or were those degrees from a coupon that you found in a comic book..? You might want to read over Skippy’s List before you do that, and no, I don’t mean for laughs.

    Holy crap!

Fred, you need to send this letter to as many news outlets as you can! Some of them, the legit ones, will no doubt grab this and run with it! I’d love to see Fox get this on the air!

    Go GOP!
    Go Newt!
    God bless America
