‘Mr. Right’ Dupes Woman Out of $50,000 Online

ABUJA, Nigeria — Authorities say an Australian woman who fell in love online was duped out of nearly $50,000 by a Nigerian man who said he was her “Mr. Right.”

Lawal Adewale Nurudeen was sentenced to 19 years in prison and ordered to repay the woman. On Monday, Nigeria’s anti-graft agency said about $9,300 that had been gathered so far would be returned.

Nigerian authorities say the 28-year-old man presented himself as a Briton working in Nigeria for a multinational company. Nurudeen told the 56-year-old woman he was a widower whose wife and only child had died in a car accident.

Authorities say a few weeks later he called the woman, introducing himself as a doctor and saying her “fiance” needed money for medical treatment following an accident.

I can’t believe that ANYONE would fall for this BS Nigerian scam artist stuff. But there are fools and dupes out there, and they are all too willing to part with their money, out of ignorance, or I suppose it could be loneliness and desperation. I am betting ignorance plays heavily into it though.

I get a SPAM box full of them every day. I am betting you do too. Here is a small sample of the ones I had just this morning.

Navy SEALs Face Assault Charges for Capturing Most-Wanted Terrorist

Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.

The three, all members of the Navy’s elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment — called an admiral’s mast — and have requested a trial by court-martial.

Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named “Objective Amber,” told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.

Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.

This is one of the most incredibly ridiculous stories that I have ever seen.

It’s not that I don’t believe it. I do. It’s that these SEALs would be brought up on ANY kind of charges because a murdering son of a bitch named Ahmed Hashim Abed got a bloody lip in the process of being captured.

Assault charges? Against our Navy SEALs? Am I the only one that sees the unbelievably PC hand of the Obama administration at work here? Am I the only one that sees the biggest appeaser to ever inhabit the White House doing his thing? Or, maybe, having it done at his behest?

Matthew McCabe, a Special Operations Petty Officer Second Class (SO-2), is facing three charges: dereliction of performance of duty for willfully failing to safeguard a detainee, making a false official statement, and assault.

Petty Officer Jonathan Keefe, SO-2, is facing charges of dereliction of performance of duty and making a false official statement.

Petty Officer Julio Huertas, SO-1, faces those same charges and an additional charge of impediment of an investigation.

OK, there will be a few *do-gooders* that aren’t going to like what I have to say, but, that’s OK, I can live with it.

Once upon a time, this piece of garbage would have been brought in beat ALL to hell and back, he would have been kept alive, but just barely. He would have been interrogated and once the desired information was extracted, he would have been unceremoniously disposed of.

But, that was before we forgot how to fight wars. That was before we lost the definition of the word VICTORY! That was before we had our warfighting strategy dictated to us by the likes of Nouri al-Maliki and Hamid Karzai. And it was long before we became the WUSSIES that are more concerned with the RIGHTS of WAR CRIMINALS than we are with the safety of our own people!

When a Crazed man starts shooting, there are those who have the presence of mind to stay calm and the training to respond. On Thursday, November 5, 2009, Sgt. Kimberly Munley, a civilian DOD police officer with the Ft Hood base police from Wilmington, NC, has been credited in ending Major Hasan’s rampage, was that person.

All of America feels that she should receive our Nation’s Highest Honor: The Congressional Medal of Honor for this fearless act of Bravery! SOURCE

Though it reads like Hollywood, it was a real life shoot-out and the police officer used her training and delivered four shots into the suspect while taking fire. She was hit at least one time. Both have survived the exchange. Thirteen others were killed but many were saved by Munley’s bravery and service. SOURCE

Historic health care bill clears Senate hurdle

WASHINGTON (AP) - Invoking the memory of Edward M. Kennedy, Democrats united Saturday night to push historic health care legislation past a key Senate hurdle over the opposition of Republicans eager to inflict a punishing defeat on President Barack Obama. There was not a vote to spare.

The 60-39 vote cleared the way for a bruising, full-scale debate beginning after Thanksgiving on the legislation, which is designed to extend coverage to roughly 31 million who lack it, crack down on insurance company practices that deny or dilute benefits and curtail the growth of spending on medical care nationally.

The spectator galleries were full for the unusual Saturday night showdown, and applause broke out briefly when the vote was announced. In a measure of the significance of the moment, senators sat quietly in their seats, standing only when they were called upon to vote.

In the final minutes of a daylong session, Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., accused Republicans of trying to stifle a historic debate the nation needed.

Historic health care bill clears Senate hurdle

A historic night indeed! Tonight, 60% of the United States Senate pissed in the faces of American voters! Well over 60% of America is against this travesty of a bill and has voiced their opinions as such. Those opinions were ignored, and the Senate, on this very night, confirmed that they are nothing more than a tyrannical body.

I believe that TYRANTS abound! That said, if I may, let me insert my own quote into the mix. And ANY that wish to use this quote, with accreditation, please do so. Any that wish to make *the powers that be* aware that I made this statement, please be sure and spell my name correctly when you report me to those that will soon become your masters.

Our founding fathers are crying out on this night! I feel the ghosts of those founding fathers crying out for PATRIOTS to answer their call and take up the fight against tyranny. This great nation can either respond, using any force necessary to stop the travesty that the Obama administration is trying to force upon us, or we can suffer the consequences for generations to come.

There is one alternative I believe. If this thing can’t be stopped on the floor of the Senate after debate, and some serious mind changing, it becomes law. After the elections of 2010, if the GOP can take the House and Senate back, can this thing be repealed?

I know Obama would veto that repeal, but then it goes back to the Senate for a vote on his veto, and if we can take back the House and Senate in 2010, voila, it’s gone.

Regardless, the complexion of the House AND Senate needs to change drastically in 2010.

The GOP is NOT a perfect party, not by ANY means. But returning the GOP to power, and then holding their feet to the fire as we force them to conduct the business of this nation according to the LAWS of this nation, and according to the will of the people, is the only chance the United States of America has if we hope to avoid full blown socialism, strife, insurrection, as well as a possible dissolution of this nation through balkanization.

Balkanization or balkanization is a geopolitical term originally used to describe the process of fragmentation or division of a region or state into smaller regions or states that are often hostile or non-cooperative with each other. SOURCE

The power to rule this nation has been assumed by the Democrats and Barack Hussein Obama, but they aren’t supposed to rule this nation, they are supposed to govern! They are supposed to represent the will of the people, and that will is NOT being represented.
