Mexico: Prison guards let killers out, lent guns

MEXICO CITY — Guards and officials at a prison in northern Mexico allegedly let inmates out, lent them guns and sent them off in official vehicles to carry out drug-related killings, including the massacre of 17 people last week, prosecutors said Sunday.

After carrying out the killings the inmates would return to their cells, the Attorney General’s Office said in a revelation that was shocking even for a country wearied by years of drug violence and corruption.

“According to witnesses, the inmates were allowed to leave with authorization of the prison director … to carry out instructions for revenge attacks using official vehicles and using guards’ weapons for executions,” office spokesman Ricardo Najera said at a news conference.

The director of the prison in Gomez Palacio in Durango state and three other officials were placed under a form of house arrest pending further investigation. No charges have yet been filed.

These are civil servants working for the Mexican government. The SAME government that Barack Hussein Obama fawned over, the SAME government that is presided over by a man that stood on the floor of OUR Congress and denigrated Arizona, it’s push for REAL immigration reforms, and America in general, Felipe Calderon.

I am not an alarmist, I am a truth teller.

I have a lot of very strong ideas and attitudes concerning Mexico, the folks that run the place, as well as the ILLEGALS that filter through there and into our nation and economy, but I reserve my most vehement contempt for the government of this United States of America and those in power in Washington, D.C., from the President right down to every Senator and Congressman!

Their utter lack of doing ANYTHING to truly protect this nation from the SCUM that lies just below our southern border, or that which has seeped into this nation and brings us down to Third World status is what angers me the most. That, and the continued stupidity of the Obama Regime as they continually try to foist Calderon off on Americans as a caring, benevolent leader and ally.

Prosecutors said the prison-based hit squad is suspected in three mass shootings, including the July 18 attack on a party in the city of Torreon, which is near Gomez Palacio. In that incident, gunmen fired indiscriminately into a crowd of mainly young people in a rented hall, killing 17 people, including women.

The situation in Mexico brings many thoughts to mind, first and foremost for me being the utter corruption that runs rampant throughout the entire nation.

All levels of Mexican government, the military, Los Federales, Los Policia and politicians, ALL of them are totally corrupt, with a hand out for any form of graft they can find. And Obama seems to be OK with that, from a country he calls a strong ally and friend.

Over the weekend there was a story that went viral on the web, Ranches had been invaded in Texas. The story has so far turned out to be totally false.

There have been a few reasonable blog sites that discredited the story right from the start, this blog was one of them, because, you see, I DO have great resources here in Texas and I was shocked that those sources couldn’t confirm an INVASION. :?

There IS a possibility that a story such as this could actually come to fruition in the near future, a very distinct and believeable possibility, given the weak border defenses we have with Mexico. What this bogus story DID do is point out the possibility of armed invasion as a real threat.

Given the propensity of the Mexican government, the Cartels and many Mexican citizens to break laws, OUR LAWS, and given the obvious lack of *give a damn* exhibited by the Obama regime, it only stands to reason that a corrupt nation such as Mexico could, and probably WILL spawn an armed invasion across our border.

What do you suppose the reaction from the Obama regime would be?

Mexico has long had a problem with investigating crimes, catching criminals and convicting people. Reports estimate less than 2 percent of crimes in Mexico result in prison sentences. But Sunday’s revelation suggests that even putting cartel gunmen in prison may not prevent them from continuing to commit crimes.

Welcome to Maywood, Mexico

July 6th, 2010 . by TexasFred

I am pretty sure that most of my long time readers have seen this before, but for those that haven’t, it’s worth presenting again. From Human Events comes an article that should be an eye opener for ALL Americans!

Welcome to Maywood, Mexico

Boasting a population that is 97% Hispanic, more than half foreign born, and 40% illegal, the Los Angeles County, Calif., incorporated city of Maywood has achieved the Reconquista goal. It is now as lawless and chaotic as any place in Mexico. Maywood is a warning to every city and town in America.

The Maywood City Council announced this week that after years of radical policies, corruption and scandal, the city was broke and all city employees would be laid off and essential city services contracted out to neighboring cities or to L.A. County government.

How did this happen? Until recently, Maywood was the model for “brown power” politics.

Maywood was the first California city with an elected Hispanic City Council, one of the first “sanctuary” cities for illegal aliens, the first city to pass a resolution calling for a boycott of Arizona after that state passed a law to enforce federal immigration laws, the first California city to order its police department not to enforce state laws requiring drivers to have licenses to drive, the first American city to call on Congress to grant amnesty to all illegals.

Council meetings were conducted in Spanish. Maywood was the leader in the peaceful, democratic achievement of the La Raza goal to take power in the U.S.

The City of Maywood started out quite differently. Back after World War II, Maywood was a booming blue-collar town with good jobs, a multi-ethnic suburb of Los Angeles.

On the 25th anniversary in 1949 of Maywood’s incorporation as a city, the town celebrated with a beard-growing contest, a rodeo, and wrestling matches in City Park. Chrysler operated an assembly plant there until 1971.

But the early 1970s saw these industrial jobs in aerospace, auto and furniture manufacturing, and food processing evaporate under the pressure of higher taxes, increased local and state regulation, and the attraction of cheaper land and cheaper labor elsewhere.

The multi-ethnic Maywood of the post-war years was transformed in the ’80s and ’90s by wave after wave of Hispanic immigrants, many of them illegal.

In August 2006, a “Save Our State” anti-illegal immigration rally in Maywood drew hundreds of protesters—but a larger number of defenders of illegal immigration. The pro-illegal protesters carried signs which read “We are Indigenous ! The ONLY owners of this Continent!” and “Racist Pilgrims Go Home” and “All Europeans are Illegal Here.”

According to newspaper reports at the time, objectors to illegal aliens were subject to physical attacks. A 70-year-old man was “slashed,” a woman attacked, and cars vandalized. Pro-illegal demonstrators raised the Mexican flag at the U.S. Post Office.

The illegal population and their sympathizers became increasingly radicalized. Elections to the City Council saw “assimilationist” incumbent Hispanic council members ousted by La Raza supporting radical challengers.

For years, the Maywood City Council authorized police checkpoints to stop drunk driving. Drivers without licenses had their cars impounded. Illegals in California cannot get drivers licenses. By 2005, the number of such impounds were in the hundreds. A community campaign was launched forcing the City Council to suspend the checkpoints.

Cars were still being impounded whenever a police traffic-violation stop resulted in a driver without a license. Felipe Aguirre, a community activist with Comite Pro-Uno, an “immigration service center,” coordinated a new campaign against any impounds. He was elected in 2005 to the City Council. He is the mayor of Maywood today.

Aguirre and a new majority of the council dismantled the Traffic Department. Illegals were given overnight-parking permits and impounds stopped. You didn’t need a license to drive in Maywood. The Los Angeles Times wrote glowingly of this “progress” in a story entitled “Welcome to Maywood, Where Roads Open Up For Immigrants”.

The Maywood Police Department was restructured by the new council. A new chief and new officers were hired. Later it turned out that many of the new officers had previously been fired from other law enforcement agencies for a variety of infractions. The Maywood P.D. was known as the “Department of Second Chances.”

Drug-torn Mexico favors scrapping municipal police

Drug-torn Mexico favors scrapping municipal police

MEXICO CITY (AP) - Mexico’s president is urging approval of a plan to replace local police departments with state forces so the government can better fight unrelenting drug violence that has claimed nearly 23,000 lives.

Part of the goal is to root out corruption by replacing generally low-paid, poorly educated local police, who are seen as more susceptible to bribery and intimidation by the powerful cartels.

If the goal is to root out corruption, forget about it. Mexico is the definition of corruption.

It also aims to streamline operations and improve communication between police, President Felipe Calderon told a public safety commission Thursday before it approved the plan at the end of a three-hour session.

And it will expedite the movement of money through the hierarchy of Mexican government.

“We want a safe Mexico in which there is no room for the fear, violence and impunity that we suffer today,” Calderon said.

Sounds great Mr. Calderon, a safe Mexico, something that has NEVER before existed. Ever!

Mexico’s Public Safety secretary first floated the idea last year, but it received a lukewarm response because some officials worried that it would be hard to police many of Mexico’s 2,439 municipalities if local departments were eliminated. Only 12 of Mexico’s 31 states even have their own police forces.

Mexico’s idea of State Police is an infusion of Federales. Mexican army troops. Supposedly ones not yet fallen into the clutches of the cartels. Supposedly.

What I see in the making is a federalization of the Mexican police and a military buildup that will, in many cases, be very close to our border.

OUR border! A border that is already terribly undermanned and poorly defended. The inclusion of 1,200 National Guard troops along our border, unarmed troops I might add, as proposed by Barack Hussein Obama, will do NOTHING to alleviate the dangers we face from Mexico already, never mind the idea of Federales running wild along our borders as well.

There are already stories in the news of Mexican army troops making side trips over the U.S. border SOURCE 1 SOURCE 2 and confronting a U.S. Border Patrol agent. SOURCE 3 SOURCE 4

This is NOT news, it happened in 2004, 2005, 2006 and quite likely is still happening if the media were allowed to make a full and unbiased report.

So far, the military and federal police have led the war against drug cartels launched shortly after Calderon took office in December 2006.

Hot damn, they have led the charge and waged the war. Can anyone tell me what progress has been made? Does Mexico have any less drug traffic or cartel violence today than it had prior to Calderon taking office? It seems that the cartels are going outside the normal channels and are getting themselves some hired help, some type of mercenary help perhaps? SOURCE

And to give further citation to my belief that there isn’t an honest cop or soldier in Mexico, many troops have already made the change over to the other side. Money, food, luxury, those are some serious motivation for a Mexican army trooper, even Officers are moving over to the side of the cartels, the incentives are just too good to pass for them! SOURCE

A recent high-profile campaign to fight extortion and kidnapping by compiling a registry of cell phone users around the country ended up going awry, however, after the users’ personal data turned up for sale on two websites.

Prosecutors are investigating, Interior Department spokesman Luis Estrada said Thursday.

Prosecutors are investigating? That’s funny, I don’t care who you are, that’s funny right there!

Mexican prosecutors can’t find a tortilla in Juarez. The list from the registry was probably sold, by someone already working for the Mexican government in conjunction with the cartels, if not actually working FOR the cartels and doing the old Double Agent thing too.

The mayor of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico’s deadliest city with 2,601 drug-related killings reported last year, backed Calderon’s proposal and said municipal police are often easy prey in small, close-knit towns.
