Border patrol agent held at gunpoint

August 6th, 2008 . by TexasFred
Officers fear Mexican military encounters will turn violent

A U.S. Border Patrol agent was held at gunpoint Sunday night by members of the Mexican military who had crossed the border into Arizona, but the soldiers returned to Mexico without incident when backup agents responded to assist.

Agents assigned to the Border Patrol station at Ajo, Ariz., said the Mexican soldiers crossed the international border in an isolated area about 100 miles southwest of Tucson and pointed rifles at the agent, who was not identified.

It was unclear what the soldiers were doing in the United States, but U.S. law enforcement authorities have long said that current and former Mexican military personnel have been hired to protect drug and migrant smugglers.

“Unfortunately, this sort of behavior by Mexican military personnel has been going on for years,” union Local 2544 of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) said on its Web page. “They are never held accountable, and the United States government will undoubtedly brush this off as another case of ‘Oh well, they didn’t know they were in the United States.’

Folks, I am going to say this in the most easily understood way I know how. We are AT WAR along our border with Mexico, I know it, you probably know it, the Border Patrol knows it, everyone in this USA knows it except for the brain-dead left, the FAUX intellectuals that pose as Conservatives, and that Mexican loving moron that sits in the Oval Office.

Since 1996, there have been more than 200 confirmed incursions by the Mexican military into the United States.

Sunday night’s incident bears similarities to other incursions by armed men in Mexican military gear in recent years:

The incident occurred in the same area where heavily armed Mexican soldiers riding in a Humvee shot at a Border Patrol agent in 2002. A .50-caliber bullet ripped through the agent’s rear window as he sped away.

Mexican officials denied at the time that the shooters were Mexican soldiers, saying they were criminals using military uniforms. It is a position they steadfastly have maintained.

Hate speech?? Oh well, a few of the afore mentioned brain-dead posers will think so and will deny that we are at war. They will call me an evil racist for what I believe to be the only solution to this problem, but that’s OK too, by far, many folks KNOW me for what I really am and are rapidly seeing my recent detractor for what HE really is as well.

Place U.S. troops on our border with Mexico, issue specific orders, SHOOT TO KILL, anything crossing that border at anything other than a LEGAL border crossing. If it just so happens that those ILLEGAL crossings are being made by members of the Mexican Army, too damned bad, shoot them down like the INVASION force that they really are.

It sure the hell is an invasion, it’s a damn unopposed takeover of a nation that showed compassion at first for the hardship the Mexicans faced.

NOW we see what that compassion has got us.. If you make it easy to leave the problem. rather than fix the problem GUESS what the problem will not get fixed.
The Mexican nation was then and STILL is one of the most corrupt nations in the world. Rather than tackle that issue the Citizens of that country LEAVE! then come over here and bluster with Mexican pride…. *shakes head*

How do we fix it? do we continue to allow the unfettered access to our country and resources like we have been doing for the last 50 years, or are we going to look at the result of the open border and stop the flood by whatever means necessary? My money is not doing anything because of the reasons we all know. RINO’s in leadership followed by LIBTARDS and whiney little bastards in all walks of life.

We are at war. And as an American there is only one side you should be on. Anyone taking other side, well I call treason.

I agree there should be troops at the border. Since no one wants to obey our rules, than all respect is law. Lets get vigilante on them…

Is everyone in denial? I love my country and I sure as hell love my state so…

    ^^^that should read

    “all respect is lost”

I was so upset I couldn’t even type correctly. :)

I don’t think there is anyone who would argue with the fact that our Border Patrol agents are sworn Law Enforcement Officers. So, with that being said, what would one expect if say a Los Angeles Police Officer was held at gun point?

To quote Botan, “there would be a whole lotta high speed lead flying around.”

It’s time we take that high speed lead across the border.

So our troops are in “inactive” roles on the border because…?

  6. comment number 6 by: GUYK

Fred it is what I have been saying for the past couple of years…the Mexican government by its inaction is giving tacit support to those who are entering our country from Mexico..yeah, it is war..whenever a country is invaded it is an act of war

Man, this is just crazy! I’m with Robert - what the hell can we do about it? I don’t mean the brain-dead in D.C. - but - we the regular, real people of America. Apparently those retards up there really don’t give a flyin frak what’s going on there. They have their own political agendas that seems to be pointing to a MexAmeriCanada. Isn’t there anything that Gov. Perry can do there in Texas?

He had the balls to stand up to the U.N. and the World Court - I say he should call in the militia now.

What about the Arizona Governor - or any Governor for that matter. It’s your states that are on the front lines - it seems to me that all the border states should be able to protect the citizens of that state with reciprocal military forced.

Unless things have changed and I am not aware of it, in Texas, of ALL places, BP is NOT recognized as Sworn Officers, damnedest thing I ever heard, I don’t remember where I heard it but that was the deal a while back…

    Well Fred,

Those Badges and Weapons I saw everyday crossing the check point looked awful real, and as Federal agents, I believe they have to swear in; just like the FBI, ATF and the rest of the armed Feds… I could be wrong, but I don’t think so.

I’m not sure but wouldn’t armed military personnel crossing into United States Territory be considered an act of war? I mean, that’s an armed incursion.

Would to God that we had a President who would execute his sworn duty to Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States. Any armed incursion is an attack upon our Constitution.

PLEASE Mr. President, put the National Guard on our southern border and arm them with Apache and Cobra Attack Helicopters and allow them to protect this nation.

    oops, was that racist?

  13. comment number 13 by: TexasFred

Well, that badge and gun is one thing and you’d have to be blind to NOT see it, but once upon a time here in TEXAS, they were NOT recognized as LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS…

The were classified as Federal Border agents and that was it, and like I said, that may have changed, and I KNOW I am not wrong on this… Not on the way it WAS… How it is NOW is not something I am aware of Gawfer, I AM retired now and out of touch with the day to day operations of federal agents and officers but TEXAS had some damned strange ideas concerning BP several years ago…

  14. comment number 14 by: TexasFred

So much so that BP agents were NOT authorized to carry weapons in the state of TEXAS while OFF duty…

  15. comment number 15 by: Gawfer

Well, that’s about the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. A job that requires one to carry a weapon when ON DUTY, but prohibits OFF duty concealment is asking for trouble.

As a firefighter, our uniforms were similar to the sheriff, and after requesting a concealed permit, I was issued one on the grounds that I was identified off duty as law enforcement.

Well, anyway, we need to start killing those who have weapons to discourage further incursions.

  16. comment number 16 by: TexasFred

Gawfer, I FULLY agree with you, it was a damned stupid thing, it may NOT be that way today, but it WAS, the BP was like a redheaded stepchild in Texas a while back…

And if it’s changed today, that’s a good thing, I am going to call them tomorrow and ask, I still have a contact or 2… If it hasn’t changed then yeah, it’s STILL the stupidest thing imaginable…

As much as I love Texas, they do some really stupid shit from time to time…

  17. comment number 17 by: Katie

How about we send in the Marines and do a little “police action” on Mexico. That way if they cross our border again, they know we will kick their butts.

  18. comment number 18 by: cary - Botan Ichihara

I’ll take a shift in the towers, anytime, any day, any place.

It is about time some invaders started coming down with fatal cases of high speed lead poisoning.

“The Department of Homeland Security also employs numerous law enforcement officers within several different agencies, including Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the U.S. Secret Service. U.S. Border Patrol agents protect more than 8,000 miles of international land and water boundaries. Immigration inspectors interview and examine people seeking entrance to the United States and its territories. Customs inspectors enforce laws governing imports and exports by inspecting cargo, baggage, and articles worn or carried by people, vessels, vehicles, trains, and aircraft entering or leaving the United States. Federal Air Marshals provide air security by guarding against attacks targeting U.S. aircraft, passengers, and crews. U.S. Secret Service special agents and U.S. Secret Service uniformed officers protect the President, Vice President, their immediate families, and other public officials. Secret Service special agents also investigate counterfeiting, forgery of Government checks or bonds, and fraudulent use of credit cards.”

Some time ago, Fred, Basti, and myself called for some serious stepping up of border security. We were all branded as racist’s etc. by the usual suspects.

At the time I also suggested that the border be used as a live fire training site for our DM’s, Snipers, and regular troops as well. The southern border, after all greatly resembles a few places in the world where our troops are currently whooping some serious ass. It would also be great training for serious militia types, as approved for in the Constitution of these not so United States. My ROE’s would be simple: If you feel threatened personally, or that the nation is actually threatened? Eliminate the threat. With the international rules having to do with hot pursuit also being readily enforced.

Hence, moma mexicana walking along with a babe in her arms, and 13 children following her could in good conscious be simply told to get her ass back to where she came from, while the coyote that was guiding her becomes fertilizer…

This crap needs to come to a screaming halt! As in ALTO!

Guys, I am fully aware that this situation has likely been rectified since 9-11 but I am talking HISTORY here, a long time back, like 25 or so years ago…

I am going to try and pin it down for certain but I remember quite well thinking “That’s the dumbest damned thing I have ever heard” when I was told it…

Surely it’s gone by the wayside, and Patrick, the term in Texas is PEACE OFFICER, or was in that day and time, and BP was NOT considered to be a PEACE OFFICER…

  21. comment number 21 by: Mark Krauss

hell, maybe Mexico WANTS to start a war with us, they see Iraq, Afghanistan, Japan, Germany….. perhaps they want to get what THOSE COUNTRIES got.

  22. comment number 22 by: Isaac

As I posted on A and P, there should be a specific military task force to hunt down and kill invaders trying to cross. Mabye something like Border Patrol and the Coast Guard using military units or individuals on rotation.

  23. comment number 23 by: Patrick Sperry

Other than from telemarketers I have not heard the term “peace officer” used seriously in years.

Heck, I was at a continuing education meeting in Edgewater a few years back and a question was asked by the prosecutors that were there instructing. “What do you consider yourselves?” Not a single policeman there identified himself as a “Peace Officer.”

Later on during the seminar I referred back to that. I think that is sad myself. In any case the border is out of control IMO, and should be militarized.

    That’s it. I give up.

Take my state, go ahead Mexico, just take my freaking state. The Califor-Mexico movement has won.

My President couldn’t care less, bleeding heart leftist douchebags in Congress and in the Senate like Obama and McCain seem prepared to give you all my tax dollars anyway. You’ve taken my schools, my health care, my roads, my language and shredded them.

You taken over neighborhoods and turned them into shanty towns; brought drugs, gangs and violence to what were once sleepy suburban communities.

You try to kill our BP agents with wire, explosives, maltov cocktails, rocks and bullets. You kidnap our people when they try to visit your country, often either robbing them blind or killing them.

You demand we bend to your will and we listen. Our government has given you the go ahead for complete annihilation of what made this country what it was.

So just take it. I give up. California is a lost cause.

And we can make you an Honorary Texan… I HAVE that power you know!!

We are in a sad situation when our elected leaders stand by and let these invasions continue. The main-stream media does nothing to bring stories like this to the American people; and when they do, they “wax it over” with words like “the Mexican soldiers were just lost.” That’s a bunch of crap, they were on our side of the border to protect drug smugglers and/or human traffickers. The media and politicians must think the American people are totally stupid!
