Officials: U.S. believes Gaza blockade untenable

WASHINGTON - The Obama administration believes Israel’s blockade of Gaza is untenable and wants to see a new approach that would allow more supplies into the impoverished Palestinian area while guaranteeing Israel’s security, The New York Times reported Thursday.

On Monday, Israeli commandos raided a flotilla of ships — that sought to run the Israeli blockade and deliver aid — in an operation that killed nine people.

White House officials said that the raid gave strength to a growing consensus within the administration that U.S. and Israeli policy toward Gaza must change, the Times said.

“There is no question that we need a new approach to Gaza,�? one official told the newspaper, which said he spoke on the condition of anonymity because the policy shift was still in the early stages.

Untenable? Or undesirable if you happen to be a Muslim loving POTUS?

1. incapable of being defended, as an argument, thesis, etc.; indefensible.
2. not fit to be occupied, as an apartment, house, etc.

Since we’re obviously not talking about an apartment I have to presume that the government means untenable defined as incapable of being defended. That sounds about right, sounds like what we’ve come to expect from the Obama regime and the gutless, Muslim loving man-child known as Barack Hussein Obama, aka: Barry Soetoro.

However, the paper said he was reflecting a broadly held view in the upper reaches of the administration. The official stressed that any new approach would have to ensure Israel’s security, while allowing more supplies into the impoverished Palestinian area.

The Palestinians are a pestilence that even the Arab world doesn’t want.

Impoverished? Only because every time they get a shipment of food or medicine they also get a few rockets and bombs and then launch an unprovoked attack on the Israeli people.

Israel has given up more to Palestine than all of the Arab nations combined. Israel has made every effort to have a peaceful existence with neighboring Palestine. So far, Israeli efforts have been ignored. By Palestine, Arabs in general, and most noticeably by the Obama administration.

In a separate statement, White House officials said they had warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government to use “caution and restraint” before the raid on the aid convoy.

“We communicated with Israel through multiple channels many times regarding the flotilla,” P.J. Crowley, a State Department spokesman, said in a statement issued in response to a question from The Washington Post.

“We emphasized caution and restraint given the anticipated presence of civilians, including American citizens,” Crowley told the newspaper.

If American citizens were on ANY boat carrying supplies to Palestine, they need to be sunk right along with the rest of the garbage.

Israel has a right to sovereignty. Israel has a right to safety and security. The American people would do well to support Israel in their efforts. If America doesn’t support Israel, if Israel is allowed to fall to the Palestinians, and other Islamic terrorist groups, all because our Muslim loving POTUS doesn’t have the BALLS to take a stand and fight, then believe me, We, The People are next on the list!

CAIRO (AP) - Invoking the Quran and his rarely used middle name, Barack Hussein Obama declared Thursday that America has a common cause with Islam and never will be at war with the faith - an overture intently watched by the Muslim world and welcomed in unlikely quarters. An Iranian cleric called the president’s speech “an initial step for removing misconceptions.”

Obama spoke at a seat of Islamic learning, his 55-minute address suffused with respect for touchstones of the religion. He said the time had come to “speak the truth” and “seek a new beginning.”

“America and Islam are not exclusive,” he said, “and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.”

Obama made no specific references to his predecessor in the White House during his Cairo University speech, but others quickly did.

So, during the run up to the vote in November, anyone that used Obama’s middle name was a racist. Anyone that used Obama’s middle name was anti-Islam. Anyone that used Obama’s middle name was trying to associate Obama with his true faith, his true people and his true belief, Islam. Were we wrong in doing so?

“There is a change between the language of President Obama and previous speeches made by George Bush,” said Fawzi Barhoum, a spokesman for Hamas. But he added that Obama did not specifically note the suffering in Gaza following the three-week Israeli incursion earlier this year.

If Israel had done everything they should have done, there would be NO spokesmen from Hamas left to complain about the USA and our involvement, or lack thereof, in the recent acts of self defense that the Israeli bombings and attacks represent.

It’s funny how when the Pallies are shooting rockets off into Israel, Hamas never says a word, but when Israel retaliates it’s an atrocity and caused great suffering among the Palestinian people.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in advance of the speech that any statements by Obama were just “words, speech and slogan” that would leave in place sanctions designed to persuade the nation to stop its nuclear weapons program.

Khamenei obviously doesn’t know Obama nearly as well as he thinks he does. Barack Hussein Obama never met a Muslim he didn’t feel a strong kinship with. Barack Hussein Obama will destroy America as we know it if it means he can be well liked and possibly respected by his true allies, the savages of Islam and the heroes of socialism, Castro and Chavez.

Obama addressed the Israeli-Palestinian dispute pointedly in his address, knowing it goes to the heart of Muslim anger toward the West.

“It is time for us to act on what everyone knows to be true,” he said. “Too many tears have flowed. Too much blood has been shed.”

Israel had best be prepared, they will soon be under the bus, a place where any that aren’t in the full control of Barack Hussein Obama can expect to find themselves.

From its opening phrases, the speech was laden with respectful gestures to Muslims.

Obama said it was part of his responsibilities as president “to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”

I am NOT one of the politically correct sheeple, so, for those of you that are, here’s a TexasFred commentary to remember, his speech wasn’t laden with respectful gestures, it was running over with ASS KISSING and Islamic appeasement.

Regarding Muslim stereotypes, when Islamic radicals stop committing homicide bombings, when Islamic radicals stop beheading those they consider offending to their goat loving, pedophile worshiping religion, when Islamic radicals teach LOVE and not HATE, when Islamic radicals stop their Death to America rants, when mainstream Islam finds the BALLS to stand and demand this of radical Islam, perhaps then some of the negative stereotypes can be overcome.

Israel tells Gazans to brace for war escalation

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) - Israel pounded rocket sites and tunnels Saturday while its planes dropped leaflets warning of an escalation, and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas predicted a “waterfall of blood” unless all parties adhere to the U.N.’s call for a durable cease-fire.

Hamas fighters kept up attacks on southern Israel, launching 15 rockets. And with neither side ready to step down, the death toll in two weeks of fighting rose to more than 800 Palestinians, according to Palestinian medical officials, and 13 Israelis.

Flames and smoke rose over Gaza City amid heavy fighting.

Diplomacy was not finished, but it appeared to be in retreat following both sides’ defiance of Thursday’s U.N. Security Council resolution calling for a halt to fighting. Struggling to keep peace efforts alive, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak invited representatives of Gaza’s Hamas rulers to Egypt for further talks on his cease-fire initiative.

How hard can it be to understand? Stop the attacks on Israel and Israel will stop killing the Palestinians in great numbers!

The *world*, the U.N. in particular, wants Israel to just STOP their offensive. They expect Israel to lay down and TAKE the attacks from the radicals of Hamas. They expect Israel to NOT strike back. I hear all of that. What I don’t see, or hear from the U.N. is any condemnation of Hamas for their actions.

I don’t see or hear any condemnation of Hamas from most sectors of the world. The American MSM (Main Stream Media), the left wing of our own Congress and Senate, and the libber leftist population of America are condemning Israel! All we hear from that group is STOP killing innocent Palestinians, just ignore the rockets that these *innocent* people keep launching into Israel, cease and desist in your vigorous acts of self defense!

Why is it that we don’t hear any cries of condemnation of Hamas and their acts of terror and violence from our MSM and the libber left? It’s very simple actually. The MSM and libber left are cowards. They are terror appeasers. They KNOW that Israel isn’t going to attack America but they fear that Hamas, al-Qaida and the various agents of radical Islam just might. The libber left feels that by embracing the terrorists they can appease them with a *group hug* and a bit of *understanding*, and in doing so, they can convince the terrorists to leave us alone.

It doesn’t work that way, as much as the peaceniks of the U.N., the EU and the American left wish it would! I know it, most of you know it and that is the primary reason we are NOT libbers and leftists! We KNOW that if you want your enemies gone, YOU have to be the one to remove them, the *trash* has to be taken out once in a while. Our incoming POTUS wants to *talk* to them. Appease them. Reason with them. Our incoming POTUS is a moonbat empowerment agent of the libber left!

To Israel I still say, as long as you are attacked you have every right to exert and and all manners of self defense. You have every right to attack your attackers and to use the force that you deem necessary against them. Keep up the fight Israel. Make these Hamas terrorists and their supporters suffer in all the ways at hand. Force Hamas to cease their attacks or face certain annihilation.
