Letter to Santa leads to Texas molestation charge

PHARR, Texas (AP) - Police in south Texas say a 9-year-old girl’s letter to Santa may have finally stopped a nightmare of sexual abuse for her and her 10-year-old sister.

Police allege that for as long as four years, Andres Enrique Cantu sexually abused the girls in their bedrooms while they slept or did their homework. Cantu is a computer lab aide at an alternative high school but has not been accused of crimes against students there.

The white-haired Cantu, 55, shuffled into court in leg irons and handcuffs for the second time in less than a week Tuesday to face a charge of continuous sexual abuse of a young child. He did not have an attorney present.

The 9-year-old’s plea to Santa, written as a school assignment, launched the investigation and led to the first charge of continuous sexual abuse last week. On Tuesday, Cantu was accused of abusing the girl’s older sister, who was also mentioned in the letter.

Investigators have refused to share the letter to Santa, saying it is evidence in an ongoing investigation. But the charging affidavit described it as “a wish list to Santa” asking that the girl’s relative stop touching her and her sister.

Pharr Police spokesman Lt. Guadalupe Salinas said the girls’ mother had been unaware of any abuse but that the relative had moved out of the home after an earlier falling out.

Ya know, it’s a damned shame that this isn’t a death penalty offense. And if it were it would be SO appropriate to bring back public hanging on the courthouse square.

Yes, I am VERY pro death penalty. Yes, I DO detest child molesters, they need to be hung by their balls until they fall off, and then left to bleed to death.

Deportations create dilemma for families with young U.S. citizens

It’s at bedtime that Jorge Barraza misses his father most. The 5-year-old, clutching two stuffed animals, is dressed in pajamas and a felt cowboy hat just like his dad’s. But such comforts don’t make up for the absence of Juan Carlos Barraza, a Mexican migrant repatriated to his old hometown.

“He’s really in Mexico. By himself,” Jorge says in English. “We went to visit him, and the first night I wanted to get home.”

Jorge, who lives in Mesquite with his mother, is one of nearly 3.5 million children in the U.S. caught in the middle of the national debate about illegal immigration – born in this country to a parent who is an illegal immigrant.

Amid the biggest wave of repatriations and deportations in decades, these children are being pulled in two directions – a situation that the U.S. government blames on the parents.

“The responsibility of these decisions rests with the parents, not with ICE,” says Carl Rusnok of U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement.

Here’s another one of those ‘Oh the poor undocumented migrant’ BS stories from the Dallas Morning News and their head wetback lover in chief, Dianne Solis. The *poor pitiful immigrant* routine is getting very old, very fast Dianne, your bias is showing.

Lets just call em what they really are, ANCHOR babies… And yeah, it’s sad, the kids have NO choice, but this nation is being USED and ABUSED by it’s own system, the 14th amendment.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

As some of the readers comments on the DMN pointed out, the 14th was put into place as a tool to address the “Birthright” of the children of slaves, and rightfully so. Former slaves were brought here against their will, the ILLEGAL invaders are here because they can milk the USA for all it’s worth, the 14th Amendment is being used, USED by God, to bring a whole new breed of citizen to the USA, the anchor baby and it’s ILLEGAL parent(s).

When ILLEGAL was redefined to mean *undocumented*, and when people like George Bush, Kay Bailey Hutchison, John McCain, Teddy Kennedy and the like all started pushing the *amnesty* thing on us, right then is when it ALL should have been nipped in the bud, we stopped the amnesty push but we didn’t address the *anchor baby* issue…

The children are victims, I agree, it’s through NO fault of their own. Their parents, on the other hand, are playing a huge part IN that victimization…

If Mom and Dad are illegals then the child should be considered illegal as well, NO MORE ANCHOR BABIES!! Deport them all if both parents are ILLEGAL or deport the ILLEGAL party if only 1 parent is here illegally. They should have considered the possibilities and the consequences before hand!

And I am fairly certain there will be some bleeding heart libbers that read this and will have tacky comments to make on their nothing little blogs and journals, but that’s OK, at least for now we’re still getting some of these WETBACKS out of the USA, and before the moonbats in Lbberville even start, WETBACK is NOT a race, it’s a statement of fact, deal with it!

US official: Mexican cartels murder, kidnap in US

MEXICO CITY (AP) - U.S. drug czar John Walters said Friday that Mexico’s drug cartels are crossing the border to kidnap and kill inside the United States, and promised that an anti-drug aid package to help Mexico to fight the gangs will be ready soon.

Walters, the director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, was in Mexico for two days to discuss efforts with local officials to stem killings, weapons trafficking and money laundering by Mexican cartels and their U.S. associates.

“Some of these groups not only engage in crime and violence not only in Mexico and along the border, but they come across and kidnap, murder and carry out assassinations,” Walters told reporters. “These groups do not respect the border.”

Walters said some of the US$400 million in U.S. drug aid approved for Mexico earlier this year under the Merida Initiative could be ready in a matter of days.

Walters praised Mexican President Felipe Calderon for mounting a police and army offensive against the cartels, whom he called “terrorist criminals.”

“They have a choice: Come in and face justice, or die,” he said of the drug gangs.

OK, I am going to say this right from the start so that there is NO misunderstanding of my position regarding drugs, the border, Mexico and those that cross our border illegally, CLOSE the border, place armed troops along the border, give those troops the authority to stop this invasion, by any means necessary, even if that includes shooting and killing ANYTHING and/or ANYONE that crosses our border at anything other than a LEGAL border crossing. There, I am going to assume that is clear enough for ALL to understand!

The 2nd thing I am going to mention is this, the war on drugs, especially on the Mexican side of the border, is nothing more than a joke, a sad, pathetic joke. The drug cartels have more money, U.S. dollars, than the entire Mexican government does. The U.S.A. can’t put a successful war on drugs together, we do NOT have the financial resources and we have a less than willing government, regardless of what they, the U.S. government, say in the MSM.

You think I’m joking about about the willingness of our own government? Think again. IF there was a REAL desire to stop the drug traffic, there would be a fence or a wall, and that area would be heavily manned by those armed troops I keep making reference to. We would have helicopter gunships and fighter jets on station, they would have active AWACS support and any aircraft crossing into U.S. airspace carrying drugs would be shot down.

If our government was serious about stopping the flow of drugs and ILLEGALS we would have Coast Guard cutters actively patrolling the Gulf of Mexico and both coasts of this nation, in great numbers, and they would be authorized to SINK any and ALL vessels caught in the act of smuggling drugs or any other contraband.

But regretfully, it will NEVER happen that way. We have entirely too many bleeding heart libbers and faux Conservatives in this nation for us to ever assume an attack posture as we defend the sovereignty of the U.S.A.

We will continue to maintain a seriously undermanned Border Patrol and Coast Guard, they will continue to do all they can but it won’t be nearly enough. And even with a dedicated Border Patrol and Coast Guard, the temptation of *big money* will always be there, and there will always be a few agents and/or troops that will place money above their sworn duty, and our border and coasts will continue to be an open invitation to any and all, a free pass in many cases, to those that would come to this nation and conduct whatever mischief their minds can conceive.

Factory had tension between union, immigrants

LAUREL, Miss. - Union bosses in this region of rural Mississippi have long grumbled that the largest factories here hire illegal immigrants, and that the immigrants were starting to get more overtime and supervisory positions.

Friction between the union and immigrant workers, along with a tipoff at an electrical manufacturing plant, boiled over this week into the biggest workplace immigration raid in the nation’s history.

When the first of the 595 suspected illegal immigrants was taken into custody Monday, some fellow workers broke into applause. A spokeswoman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said the investigation started three years ago after agents received a tip from a union member.

This is the 1st time in my life I have ever said a good word regarding a union, any union, but that is about to change.

I don’t know what the real story is, all we have is “he said, on conditions of anonymity“, and quite frankly, I don’t care who did it or why they did it. This is the 1st time that I can remember a union actually doing something GOOD for the American worker.

I don’t care how many more ILLEGALS ICE rounds up, they’ll never get them all, and it will never be enough, but this is a great start. And lets face facts, you have to start somewhere, and again, quite frankly, I am surprised that our amnesty loving POTUS didn’t try to step in and stop this from happening, George W. Bush seriously loves him some ILLEGALS, Mexicans in particular.

Contacted Wednesday, Howard Industries referred reporters to the statement it issued Monday, which said the company “runs every check allowed to ascertain the immigration status of all applicants for its jobs. It is company policy that it hires only U.S. citizens and legal immigrants.”

Apparently NOT!! 595 suspected illegal immigrants were taken into custody Monday, that doesn’t speak very well for your employment office, it’s staff or their efforts in ascertaining the status of at least 595 of your employees.

That press release is nothing more than an attempt by some higher ranking officials with Howard Industries at covering their own asses.

“I need a job and got kids. I heard that they need some help now,” said Willie Keys, 20, who applied Wednesday. “All them Mexicans got fired because they didn’t have a pass … All these businesses have been taking Americans’ jobs.”

I have to disagree with ya there Willie, maybe you don’t understand, maybe you didn’t know how to say it just right, whatever, but the businesses haven’t been taking American jobs, the businesses are creating jobs in America and then giving them to the ILLEGALS.

And now it’s time for ICE to do an even more comprehensive investigation. Hold the company, and it’s officials responsible. Make an example out of them and let it be known, this is how we’re going to be doing it from now on. If you break the laws of this land, you pay up! And it’s about time too!

There are Americans that will do these jobs. There are Americans that will be quite happy to join the union and pay dues, and they will quite likely be happy to work whatever overtime is necessary to get the jobs done. And the money they make will be going back into the American economy, as opposed to that of many ILLEGALS, the ones that live and work here, on a shoestring, as they send the bulk of their money out of the USA.
